They didn't tell me that their COVID vaccines had expired until I showed up for my appointment. Why not call me? They didn't even know when they would get them back in stock and told me to go to the Issaquah location since they "sometimes take walk-ins". After calling that location, we were told that they wouldn't tell us if the vaccine was in stock over the phone, we had to show up in-person.After waiting in a long line, we were told that they do not vaccinate people on the weekends because they only have one pharmacist. What a waste of time! Everyone I've talked to in this company passes off the blame and questions to other people.If the Mercer Island pharmacy tells you to go to the Issaquah location, do not believe them; they are only trying to pass off the problem (you) to someone else.

If possible, I'd like to give them zero star!! The medications for my kid from ER have been delayed for a day and a half. My kid is suffering at home because they keep postponing it. Finally, they suggested we go to another pharmacy. The most ridiculous part is they gave us a list of pharmacies and asked us to call each one ourselves. Is this really reasonable?! They occupy the most central position on the island but their lack of action is truly infuriating.

Definitely understaffed at times, but I must say these blokes do a proper job of taking care of everyone, treating people like human beings and such. Funny story, I once caused a bit of a stir, accusing them of having shorted me on a prescription. They kindly offered to let me see the security cam footage! Turned out I was mistaken. Loved how professional and customer-oriented they were about it.Of course everyone leaving a review here has some grievance. But having been here 10+ times, I find the staff unusually kind and solution-oriented. So 5/5

I have been putting off reviewing this pharmacy for a couple of years now but I've finally had it. Unless I go first thing in the morning, there is always a wait - I've waited as long as 45 minutes just to get to the window. My elderly parents moved here in April and I took them here to get vaccinations. We had appointments but we were there for an hour and a half! Today I made three trips there to pick up 2 prescriptions that my doctor sent three days ago. The first time, I waited 20 minutes and got to the window only to be notified that they still haven't filled my prescriptions. The second time, they had one ready but they said my doctor didn't request the second medication. So I went home and called my doctor, who sent me a screenshot of the order he sent. Walgreens found the prescription in their system after I showed them the screenshot, but after waiting for an additional 45 minutes they tell me there is a glitch in their system and they cannot process it. After another 15 minutes they figured it out! This was beyond frustrating. There were 10 people in line behind me. Last week I went in for a vaccination and after waiting 30 minutes after my appointment time, I asked how much longer I would wait to be seen. The person in the pharmacy put three fingers to his forehead and looked down, as though my question had given him a headache. Then he shouted, “It will be soon, be patient!” I previously asked my doctor to switch pharmacies but that didn't happen. I will double down on that request.

After calling in a prescription 3 days ago it is finally ready after coming in each day saying the end of the day.Prior to this I had another medication that was for my husbands surgery and was told they didn’t have it. The lady with the hair with red braids in it didn’t want to help all she said we don’t have it while throwing her hands around and getting nasty to about. You’re in customer service.This is by far the worst place to come, do yourself a favor and go to rite aid. No only did they have it done within an hour they were nice!

I'd give 0 stars if I could, particularly because of last two, consecutive experiences with the Pharmacy department. Most recently, they refused to vend my prescriptions even after I received both text messages and automated telephone notifications from Walgreens that my two medications is ready for pickup. Even after I showed them the notifications, they said that their system must have made a mistake. In an earlier visit, they refused to take back a reader device that my wife had picked up on my behalf. I told them that my wife was not asked to check what she was receiving, and when I told them I should consider going to another store, they nonchalantly said that a Rite-Aid is right down the street. No apologies for the lousy customer service, and no interest to retain a customer. Unbelievable! I contacted the general number and logged a complaint, and never heard back.

Relatively clean but I have had negative experiences with the pharmacy and the cashier Laura is always super rude. Whenever I try to pay in cash she mutters something about unfolding them or how I place them. Very rude.

This pharmacy is the slowest pharmacy on the planet. My urgent care doctor sent a prescription here yesterday morning and it's been more than 24 hours and the prescription is still not ready and my husband had to wait in the line for 40+ minutes to hear the pharmacist say this. Like seriously guys?? When will it be ready, after the patient is dead?

Actually I want to give them zero stars. This is the most ridiculous pharmacy on the island. It has been a challenge to get a prescription filled on multiple occasions. A number of times I’ve been told that the prescription was never received from the physician’s office. I’ve had to call the physicians office multiple times only to realize that it was a glitch either in their system, or the person working had no idea what they were doing. Once I called in a prescription for a nebulizer for my son, and I was told that they were out of stock. A couple of hours later they notified that they actually have it in stock. When I tried to pick it up, the pharmacist closed early and left for the day. They have no respect for their customers and I’ve had the worst customer service experience!

SHIVA, the pharmacist, is complete trash! Rude and disrespectful. She will “shoo” a customer off just to go to the back and text on her phone. Very short with customers and doesn’t value customer service or their time.Get rid of her and maybe the pharmacy will be ran smoother and efficiently.

I was on hold for 2 hours to see why my prescription wasn’t filled and was disconnected when I finally had no one in front of me on the phone line . I have CoVid and waited all day to get this filled.. need to keep someone inside filling prescriptions if you’re pharmacy is not going to be open and only have the drive thru open

In the year 2023, this pharmacy has no reception call queue. The receptionist kept putting me back on hold for 30 minutes, coming back to my call to put the hold music on 9 times, then hung up.

The store itself is fine, clean and organized and has the basics. But the pharmacy is the issue. This pharmacy used to be amazing. I went here for 5-6 years. They were reliable and consistent. Over the past 2 years however, they've completely fallen apart. I've received incorrect quantities of my medications several times, including controlled substances which made it super hard to get the rest. I've waited over a half hour in line to pick up 1 single prescription. The staff is disorganized and generally unhelpful, unlike how they used to be. It pains me to have to transfer all my medications, but even the rite aid a few blocks away is SIGNIFICANTLY better despite some flaws of their own.

I had a minor surgery this morning 2/17/22 and my doctor prescribed me a follow up medication I'm supposed to take three times over the course of the next day. My prescription went to my usual pharmacy at Costco, but Costco was out of stock. So my doctor sent in a new prescription to this particular Walgreens instead. Fortunately by the time I drove over Walgreens had received the new prescription from my doctor and had the medication in stock. However they refused to fill my prescription. The woman working at the pharmacy counter wanted me to first go back to the Costco pharmacy in Seattle (which was now closed for the evening) and tell them to cancel filling my prescription and then drive back to Mercer Island to fill it at Walgreens and only then she'd sell my medication to me. For reference, this was not a pain medication or any sort of controlled opioid. I was just baffled that they would withhold a time sensitive medication from an adult who had just come out of surgery a few hours before, especially when a new prescription was sent directly to them from a doctor's office. For what reason? To theoretically make sure an unaffiliated pharmacy who already told a patient they couldn't fill their prescription because they're out of stock, doesn't spontaneously find more in stock and fills the prescription in the hopes the patient comes back by random chance after being sent elsewhere? It makes absolutely no sense. I have serious doubts about the competency and rational decision making abilities of the employees at this Walgreens Pharmacy.

I was told that if you use express pickup you can pay for your prescriptions and pick them up at the express window without waiting in the long lines. I ordered my prescriptions online through Express pickup, paid for them and then went to pick them up. I went directly to the express window and waited for about 10 minutes while they waited on five people waiting in line. I finally asked the pharmacist why I was not being waited on at the express window he said both windows were the same. Finally after a couple more minutes the pharmacist at the window came to help me I asked her if the express line was supposed to be fast because I didn't have to wait in the long line and she affirmed that it was. Apparently the other pharmacist didn't know this. I had paid for my prescriptions online via express pickup. I told the gal that I had already paid for my prescriptions online and showed her the code that allowed me to pick them up. She didn't seem to know what it was and conferred with another pharmacist. It looked like she was ringing up the prescriptions again and I told her again that they were paid for and that I had the code to pick them up. By the time I got them I was so frustrated I just left and when I got home I had been charged again. Now I have to deal with trying to get a refund. I would rate this Pharmacy a zero if I could. Now I need to find another Pharmacy.

This is the worst location by far, avoid if you can. I ordered prescription, they were not able to fill it (out of stock) so I tried to transfer to another pharmacy and basically they did not respond or get the transfer out. I called them 4(!) times each time waiting for more than 30 minutes and they would HANG UP my call without answering. All of this just to get my prescription OUT of this pharmacy. I think I will escalate to corporate as well

This Walgreens has the worst waiting times for the pharmacy. Their staff is understaffed, disorganized and untrained with a management that doesn't care. There are some good employees there, but most of them make several errors in their work, and one in particular is slow with his work, is error-prone and spends extremely long amounts of time with a single customer despite there being a long line, and doesn't seem to care. Corporate doesn't seem to care despite complaints across years, I definitely would not recommend it especially towards the elderly because they will have to wait in lines for hours despite their health only to be told their prescriptions aren't ready.

Never has there been such a fall from grace since the Roman Empire. This is by far the worst pharmacy I’ve ever had to deal with. It’s impossible to get a prescription filled or even get someone on the phone.

Worst experience of my life. I picked up my prescription and realized that the quantity was not correct. I requested my doctor to resend the prescription with the correct quantity. Called up my insurance and had them speak with Walgreens pharmacy to take back the incorrect prescription (this is not a medication but a test strip so easily returnable unlike the dispensed medication) and provide me with the correct one. Not a single person is willing to help but they instead want to charge me additional $$. Even my health insurance agents who have been helping clearly pointed out to them that, that is wrong. You shouldn’t do that. The job of a pharmacist is to ensure that they can provide guidance in addition to the doctor. Not the people in this pharmacy. All they are interested in is charging the insurance for money. Even one star is too many. Do not recommend this place at all. Sad! We had just moved from out of state and in over 30 years this is the first time we have seen such callous, unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from a pharmacy.

I wish I could give a 0 star review for the pharmacy. The store itself is clean and well run but the pharmacy has no respect for peoples time. I have ongoing prescriptions and they are never ever ready. I have to wait hours. My son needs an emergency antibiotic and she said it would be just a few minutes. I had to clarify with her what a few minutes meant. Is that half an hour or an hour. She said well two people are in front of you. Ok still that doesn’t really clarify given I just heard her say to one of those waiting’s it would take hours! I explained that I had somewhere to go so really needed a rounding time if it would be longer then a “few minutes.” She refused to give that to me. No respect for anyones time, orders that should already be filled NEVER are and having to wait hours is why I hate this pharmacy.

Staff is overwhelmed and ineffective! Walgreens corporate needs to limit the number of prescriptions sent to each store. We have a high risk 86yo patient with covid. The pharmacy didn’t tell us they had been out of paxlovid for over a week until close to closing time. Then said we needed to call around to other pharmacies to see who has this lifesaving medication.

I have used this Walgreens for pharmacy for over 10 years. The pharmacy department always give good quality service. They have been quite short-handed during pandemic and all pharmacy stuff work very hard. I usually ask my doctor to send over the prescription online and they will give me text message when it is ready. Still the best pharmacy store to me.

Just switched my prescription to AMAZON pharmacy. Super easy process and I'm so happy to not deal with this Walgreens anymore.Left me on hold for 90 minutes today then hung up on me. They filled my last prescription incorrectly and overcharged me. Always a horrible experience. I'm done with this place. They don't care at all about customers and are inexperienced.

I ordered a photo print here, and it said the photo should be ready before 8:55. When I arrived at the store at 9:14, the photo person was helping a customer, and helped him immediately print out the photo. After 15 mins waiting, he finally figured out my phone has not been printed so I waited for another 5 mins to get the photo.

Because of their incompetence, I'm missing 2 doses of life-altering meds; By Monday I'll be sick without them and have to miss work, then will need to spend the next 2 weeks building up the right amount in my system for it to take effect again. They've had more than a week now to fill this prescription but their portal still says "working on it". When I call to speak with a human, I go in circles with their automated system until it eventually hangs up on me. If I go there in person, it'll be at least an hour wait -- when I'm feeling this miserable I'm in no condition to do that! The only reason I've put up with this for so long is because they're the only pharmacy on the island with a drive-through. At this point, I don't even care about that and am transferring everything to Rite Aid.Doesn't anyone there read all the reviews on Nextdoor and Facebook about their terrible service? Don't they want to DO SOMETHING???

Consistently mispriced items, so it’s always a surprise at the register. Calling the pharmacy, you can count on being on hold for at least 20 minutes, every time. Not very knowledgeable, which for a pharmacy is not ideal. Go somewhere else. Seriously.
