I brought my 13 year old husky in on his birthday to pick out treats. Mud Bay staff was so friendly and kind. They even gave our pup a bacon cheddar ice cream to celebrate his special day.

WOW! I absolutely love the team at Mud Bay! I have to say they are always so nice when my dog and I come in. I was having an absolutely horrible day and the way they treated not only me but my dog when I came in, changed my day and ended my night on a very high note. Thank you Mud Bay Team!!!

The service wasn't necessarily bad. It was non-existent. Unlike every other Mud Bay I've visited, this one gave off a very cold vibe.*** edit ***I found out that an employee did eventually acknowledge our group and offer assistance. Still, the overall atmosphere was much less welcoming than other Mud Bay stores.

Love buying food and toys for my cat here! They have signs that help you with picking toys based on what your cat likes to hunt - it’s not super accurate but it’s pretty darn close! The people who work here are also super nice and helpful - so I’m a little shocked by the past reviews!

Fantastic service really helpful with question re rescue cat, best food, litter and so on. The cat food is healthy and I am surprised at the prices which are very reasonable, makes it easy to support a local business. The also have great cleaning products I can't believe how easy it was to totally remove cat wee smell.*** Have to change rating. Love everything about the place but they will not take $50 or $100 bills. It's is not a change issue because I had $88 transaction so the change would of been $16. They will accept 5 $20 bills but not one $100. Cash is a legal tender that should be accepted anywhere. I will not shop here again .

They made the conscious choice to move into a smaller space, forcing them to get rid of ALL small animal products. Cats and dogs strickly now. What a dumb choice, not only do you screw over the populous on the island but you loose buisness and honestly i hope you go out of buisness.

This is a great pet store! The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and always have a treat ready for any furry guest who comes through the door. The selection of items is good (considering the size of the store) and the merchandise is high quality. Prices are reasonable and I've never left with anything other than a very satisfactory experience.

I usually hit up the Mud Bay on Capitol Hill but I was in the Mercer Island area so I stopped there. Just like all the other Mud Bays I've gone to, this location was super friendly and very helpful. I just changed my cat's dry food and dummy me couldn't remember which one it was and the woman helping me was very patient and helpful as we tried to figure it out (which we did!). So of course I totally recommend Mud Bay.

I just went in for a return. Just wanted to mention how amazing Erin is as far as customer service. She was incredibly sweet and did absolutely everything to accomodate me. I was in the store and out in less than 5 minutes!Anyway, I've worked in retail and I have to say I was impressed. I don't think I've seen customer service that genuine before. Thanks again! :)

The shop itself is ok and the staff is super friendly, so it is not about the employees. I used to buy toys for my cat in this store, but my last experience was bad, because the teaser I bought had a bad smell and gave my kitty some bacterial infection. He is in-door only and the only pet, so there was no other way he could get in trouble, but because of feather teaser.

Yesterday my fiancé walked into the store at 8pm and the staff working there literally kicked him out saying they were closed. There were several people in line and in the store. He told the staff the dog food I need is right there and it would take no time to get it. They refused and said they would not ring it up at the register and to leave. We have shopped at this Mud Bay countless times and also other locations too. With the disrespectful way he was treated, we will never shop here or any Mud Bay again. There is a kinder and respectful way to treat people and customers, the staff working at this location in Mercer Island yesterday, 3/17/20, were absolutely horrible!! For anyone managing the staff here, I also work in customer service and would never treat others in such a way!

These ladies were awesome! I went in, not knowing what I needed for my elderly, skin issues, 2 doggies and they not only helped me get a great dog food but also gave me some samples! I was so excited and I was able to bring in my lil chaweenie and they just loooved him! It was great! Thanks so much ladies, your the best and I will be coming back again!

Mud Bay is the best store for cats and dogs food, toys, treats. It might be a bit pricey, but it worth it for your furry friend. The customer service is excellent, and you can return food if your cat or dog doesnt like it. They will donate it to shelters.

Very very kind staff. The bulk treat bins are awesome, lots of fun and soooo cheap! It's a fun pit stop to take your dog to as a rainy day surprise activity.

I had two interviews with the CPO and various district managers, with the last interview being at the Mercer Island location.I felt the interviews went great, but months went by without a phone call or email despite my attempts to reach out. It is very unprofessional to conduct an interview, let alone multiple interviews, and never reach out to the person again.You should have had the courtesy to atleast call me and tell me I wasn't the right fit. I feel I dodged a bullet with this lack of respect from higher managment.

One of the only pet stores on Mercer Island and is hands down the best one in the Seattle area. The staff are incredibly friendly, everyone there are animal lovers, and they have a wide variety of products and brands.

The cashier was really helpful in recommending the best value grain free cat food for my new 2 year old cat. She also helped me figure out the coupons I received from the Seattle Humane Society animal shelter.

I am not really a pet-lover but I do have a grandpuppy and four grandkitties. As such, it is incumbent upon me to provide periodic toys for these furries. This place is awesome. The staff is so helpful in recommending products that the pets will truly enjoy. They haven't steered me wrong yet.
