We've used McKenna Kennels a couple times now. We have an older boxer mix and a young beagle. They accommodate both our boys well, and made sure they were able to play together during out times. Both have come back in good condition and ready to rest.

McKenna Kennels is simply amazing. My dogs absolutely love it. I had a very last minute family emergency occur on the morning of my pick-up time. They were SO understanding and helpful and extended my dogs stay with no issues. They have always been flexible..and I know my dogs are taken care of. I can’t say enough good things about this business!

They were so incredible in taking my dog last minute. They sent me the info for vet records quickly and he was able to be scheduled for day care the next day. He came home tired from a great day of play. The staff was so kind, professional and helpful.

Management is a joke. They false hired my wife after supposedly hiring her but after one day of working 11 hours they fired her next day saying she wasn’t a good fit after telling her that she was when she was hired. And also got the “managers” personal number turns out it’s just a random employee number not hers. Place is an absolute joke I wouldn’t even consider working for them or even giving them my money. Just pathetic thanks for wasting her time and mine

Not the best experience. Medicine was not given to our dog even though they asked and noted in the paperwork upon arrival. Was told over the phone to make an account to receive pictures, made the account to receive photos and they didn’t send any so we didn’t know how she was. Called a couple of times to ask and received vague responses each time. The pick up was really awkward almost like something had happened, very weird. They didn’t say if she eat, if she was good etc. Our dog was wet, her bed was wet, her blanket had mulch in it, her bag of treats was sealed closed. Arrived home without the little bag we send with her things(including the medication), thought we left it but founded inside the bag of food. Overall a very weird experience. This was during Thanksgiving week, maybe they had more dogs that they could handle and affected their capacity to care for each dog individually but… it wasn’t a good experience. I wish we could know if she really had a good time or not. Please keep in mind that this was our experience and maybe not reflect the experience of others who has an amazing experience with them.

Called here when we were left with a last minute need for dog boarding and I’m so glad we did! Facility is well set up and my pup is so excited to go. I was also happy about the rates and how they price things it’s very reasonable. Thanks for taking such good care of our fur baby!

We brought our male German shepherd there several years ago, for a few weeks while we went on vacation. When we returned, shadow was all cleaned up, freshly groomed, even wearing a bow tie. These people cared for our dog as if he was their own family member (which most of us consider our dogs family). He was just the same as when we left him, unlike another kennel we took him to previously. It took several months for our shadow to come back to his normal self. I don't know what those people did to our dog, but he was really messed up, almost unrecognizable, never again will I bring my dog to that kennel (ft lewis). McKenna kennels is very highly rated, i have spoken to many people who board their dogs, cats, who all had nothing but great things to say about how they cared for their pets. This is the place to bring your beloved pet, you won't be disappointed! Great staff, clean kennels, and they give your pet lots of love and attention they need and enjoy. 5 stars, hands down, the best kennel I've ever had the pleasure to board my dog. Matter of fact, we are on our way to pickup our other German shepherd today, and I'm already confident she had a great time there and has been well taken care of, before we even get there.

I'm so grateful to McKenna Kennels for taking care of my little guy while I needed to board him for vacation. The nightly rates were incredibly reasonable and I opted for the daily photos/report cards, which were so fun to get while I was away. Will definitely be boarding here in the future!

McKenna Kennels is great! Our dogs were very well taken care of and came back to us so relaxed and happy! I was so happy with the service that I sent a thank you card with some gift cards in it, but it was returned to me as undeliverable. Is there a mailing address? You guys are great!!!

Good experience overall but had some weird instances. I boarded my 3 dogs at the end of June. I worked with Kim for most everything, she's awesome! I was upset that not all my dogs were in the same kennel because 2 of them aren't fixed, however, they were able to place them in kennels next to each other (can't verify that though as you aren't allowed past the office). My mom was able to pick them up for me on Saturday because they are closed Sundays and I wouldn't have been able to get them until Monday morning. I was able to pay over the phone when I was gone so my mom didn't have to worry about the bill. Here's the weird part, only one of my dogs came home without his dog tags. My mom stated the younger girl she was dealing with said that my dog had pulled them off (which I don't see how because it had a tough key ring that they were attached by). I was told that the tags were in the bottom of a wheelbarrow and that they would get retrieved but the worker never came back with them. Called the kennel when I got home and Kim had no idea that the tag was lost. Never received a call back if they found them.

I have never boarded my dog before. She stayed for 10 days, and a couple days later she was groomed here as well. It made my heart happy when we pulled into the parking lot to see my pup get excited and do the happy whine. The ladies here are really nice and when we walked in they made it a big deal that my pup was in the house. Of course this made her happy as well!I won’t take my dog anywhere else.

This place is amazing. They take such great care of my little girls Jessie. She is a special needs dog and they take extra time with her. So she gets it right. If your dog is nice they will let your dog play with other dogs. She loves that part as she lives on a twenty acre farm and is alone a lot. I can hardly contain her in the car when she knows we're going there. It's like camp for your for baby. Also they have a excellent grooming there also.

I can’t say enough good things about the kennel and staff here. We have used them and never worry while we’re away. My dogs leave happy and so so tired. They have went out of their way to make my dogs comfortable and make sure they are happy while there. I will always recommend them and continue to use them as well!

First time ever boarding my 3 dogs. They were there for 4 days. Because they are all small they were able to stay together. When I picked them up they were happy and I could tell they had been well taken care of. McKenna Kennels is the only place I will ever trust to board my babies.

Like most of us, my dog is my baby. I was very nervous to leave her, but she has made my dogs feel at home. She is so helpful and kind. I think she could tell I was worried about leaving my dog, but she sent me a video of her playing and and I can tell she is having a wonderful time. If you have to leave your dog, I highly recommend Mckenna Kennels. I would never take my dog anywhere else!

My dog stayed here for 13 days. When I picked him up they had lost his bed. It was huge so I don’t understand that. Said they weren’t responsible for the bed. Then told me a manager would call me. It’s been a week and they have not called me. I have called multiple times and they must have called ID bc I always get the answering machine. Will not use again and encourage everyone to not use them also.

They did fine by my dog. But be aware, in case you are in a rush or don't pay thorough attention to the contract you sign (which by the way they don't offer you a copy of) their rates are by the day and not by the night. For example if you leave your dog on Friday afternoon and return on Sunday you will be charged for 3 days, even if it is only 48 hours. A Saturday night stay always will result in two days of charges. I would have made the same plans, but it would have been nice to know exactly how much I was going to be charged when I drop my dog off.

Boarded my pet after taking all necessary precautions and vaccinations to ensure she was healthy and up to date. When picking her up she was sick and had caught kennel cough. Now, I got a vet bill and extremely sick pet. Upon calling, I was told it's like sending your kid to school and kids spread illness. That is not OK and completely unacceptable. Absolutely no remorse or apology, was told I signed a contract and that's a risk I take. So, if you want to assume risk and get a sick pet on top of an addintional vet bill, then take your pet here. The one star is because I can't go lower, avoid this place.

I initially messaged them asking if they had availability for my two dogs and they said they did and answered some questions that I had. I filled in the information on the link they sent me and then never heard from them again! I called and left a message, as well as reaching out via email. Nothing. Was a shame as thought it would be a good fit for my doggos but hey ho.

We have been using this kennel for about 5 years. We have LARGE dogs and very small dogs: all the breeds are HAPPY when they come home and crazy happy when we get in the car and make the turn into the kennel. They get so exited to and RUN into the building. I always think this is the best sign of all!The owner is fantastic about cleanliness and always has the very best staff. Each visit we have seen the site becomes more and more beautiful and efficient. Thank you Mckenna Kennel for allowing us to travel and be at peace about our animals while we are away!!

Takes care of our pets, never had any worries if your pet will be taken care of right. They seem flexible with dates, and once had a spot on short notice for us. They have an onsite groomer, have dogs play together, and have a large area for them to run around. Fair prices, and will waive a day if you pick up early.

I've been boarding my dog, a Springer Spaniel, at McKenna Kennels for 5 years, since my pup was a year old. I have never had a bad experience there. The kennels are always clean; there is always fresh, clean water available for him, and his feeding schedule matches what he has at home. He has always been exercised every day, a necessity with an active breed. My dog is always excited to get in to see the folks at McKenna Kennels and enjoys his stays there. Consider me a very satisfied customer.

The only place my wife and I want our dog to go. He's not always the most well mannered dog but they are well trained and versed in dog behaviors. They keep the whole herd playing together nicely! We've walked through closer dog daycare facilities but no others fit our dogs need nor their people customer service.

Was brought to my attention any dog left outside at night under covered kennels, these dogs have bark collars put on them without the Owners knowledge. This done so they don't get complaints coming from the near bye neighbors. Just thought people have the right to know this
