We have 7 pet rats from this shop. 3 are 3 years old, 2 are 2.5 years, 2 are 3 months. We just had to put down one that was 3. We will return again to buy pet rats from you in the future. The best loveable and smart creatures !!! They deserve all the love in the world.

absolutely love their store! its so clean and organized, all the animals are so well cared for. the owner always has the best information and advice and it always so sweet and kind :) She helped me get my hognose eating again after a food strike and she fostered him till he was eating at no cost! they really are an amazing shop and offers SOOO many different feeders and substrates

The customer experience at this shop is awesome. I go to the store to get food for my bearded dragon and corn snake. The menu on the wall makes it very clear what she has in stock and what the prices are. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and all reptiles and very friendly. I appreciate the discounts offered for bringing back the food containers. The discount is minimal but I love the eco-friendliness of it. The shop is spacious and has lots to offer.

Poor customer service, I asked to see their selection of reptiles such as geckos for sale and I was told that I could not because the man at the front desk said "I don't want to get into it right now." This is where I felt that he simply just did not want to help nor care for anyone at the store. Not only did he ignore my father and mother when they asked questions but he rolled his eyes at us as if we were a problem and did the same to other people there. Everything is overpriced and not in good condition while a decent amount of animals looked to be not cared for. There is very little selection to view in store with barely any animals at all. My family and I are very disappointed while this ruined our day due to our 30 minute trip from Mount Vernon to Marysville.

Extremely disappointed in our experience. We drove almost 2 hrs to this store to avoid buying from Petco. When we initially walked in, it looked awesome! Then we realized each of the reptiles were in the smallest enclosure possible (which were tiny plastic containers) with nothing but a paper towel inside and not enough room for the creatures to even move in. They were also inside these tiny containers, under a glass display like for jewelry. It made my skin CRAWL. We were trying to stay away from Petco so we thought this place might be our best bet to get our young snake enthusiast her 1st cornsake for her birthday, despite our worries about the health/happiness of all of the critters there.. We were advised to transfer Smoothie into his new enclosure when we got home and wait 2 weeks before holding, touching or feeding him. We followed all of the instructions given to us, but 1.5 weeks into the 2 week waiting period, I went to check on Smoothie and he was no longer alive. There was no obvious reason for his untimely death, and my 9 year old is STILL heartbroken. She spent YEARS researching snakes and how to care for them. Almost $200 on a snake that didn't make it 2 weeks. Extremely disappointed, and more so heartbroken and devastated than anything. Despite the stories, Petco seems to be a better choice than this place, unfortunately.

Staff take pride in their business! place was well lit and clean. Owner was helpful and friendly, items were grouped together and easy to find. What compelled me most to write this review was the fact the owner had meticulously placed breathing holes in the feeder rodents takeout box. The other store I go to doesn't respect the feeder animals at all and I really appreciated the fact that here at nova they treat the feeder animals with the same respect as their reptiles. Which leads me to my next point, all of their reptiles were under proper care, in homes that were more then adequate for the size of them. I see a lot of overcrowding or just down right bad treatment of reptiles in stores but this one is free of any of that. If you want the highest quality care for your reptile or its food THIS is the place to go.

I absolutely recommend this place for someone looking for a well bred and healthy reptile. I picked up two ballie babies from here, and neither has turned down a single meal since coming home. Both are growing at a steady rate, are active, clear-eyed, vibrant and friendly—but still have incredible survival and hunting instincts at appropriate times. We got to see the parents for both, as well, and they also seemed healthy and well adjusted to all the above.The staff is also incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and are willing to share their wealth of knowledge without judgement while also making sure that owners know what’s what with the care of their creatures. They clearly want the best for their animals and for you as their pet parent. Their advice has also helped me with a rescue ballie that I have, and he is flourishing!As someone who has worked in the pet care industry for a few years and who’s partner and co-scaley-parent has as well, we’ve been hard pressed to find reptiles as well bred and healthy as these. Whether you are a well-seasoned reptile collector looking for your next new addition, or someone new who needs some help or direction choosing your best fit and the supplies best to care for them, my family and I highly recommend these incredible folks. I can’t wait to go back!

This is the only place that I know of in town, an if I knew of another I would not go there anyway, that sells frozen and live feeders for animals. Cause lets face it I want to feed my pet fresh food and if it still alive then its fresh. They also have all the foods for the rest of the reptiles as well, like geckos and bearded dragons an many many more.I have been going here for about two years now. It was owned by another person and they sold it to the current owner, who was, in my own opinion, his most valued and dedicated employee. Her name is Rami Bryson. Rami is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of reptiles, but specializes in gecko's. If you have a question about anything reptile Rami will answer your questions.Me and my wife bought our first Ball Python from Rami. She answered all our questions and gave me a run down on what to expect, what to do and all the stuff in between. In the two years that we have gone in to buy feeders for our snake she has always been helpful and extremely professional.We bought our second Ball Python from here as well, but we purchased it for our son. Once again answering all the questions we had and going out of her way to make sure that first the snake was taken care of properly an that we enjoyed the snake owning experience.Just recently she had some previously owned Ball Pythons and asked if me and my wife would be interested in adopting one. I went down the next day to see what she had. I immediately fell head over heels for a 3 year old Ball Python with the name Dali. She let me take him home that day since he was out of quarantine and had passed all the things she has to check for to make sure the snake is healthy. I had to sign a adoption paper work and pay a fee. I have to say I never would of thought that a snake could choose a specific person but he did. I enjoy him and I do not know what I would do with out him now.My point is that none of this would of happened if it was not for Rami. If you are interested in what is what I suggest you go in and see her. The only bad thing is that she is not open on Mondays or holidays.

Got a mouse and a new heat pad for my kids snake that got free and we lost for 3 months (was living in the heat vents and shedding on my toilet) so we knew he was alive somewhere. Employees there gave some good advice on his first feeding. I followed her directions and have a happy snake. Thank you

Among the feeder rats that they carry, they also have very healthy pet rats for sale. We just finished our four years with our best friend and best pet and we got him because someone snake wouldn't eat him and he was from this store if you're looking for a pet rat I would suggest coming here. They also have different breeds like rex's.

All of their animals look so happy and healthy! I've always been super pleased with their feeders too! Only place I'll go for them!

I stopped by for feeders today, which all my critters enjoyed. The shop is very cute, organized and although my visit was brief it appeared to have a lot of options in feeders, husbandry and in critters themselves. Customer service was excellent. I used to go to Hewitt Reptile Emporium in Everett, but I will be switching to Nova moving forward. Highly recommend this shop! (-:

I was very impressed with the proprietress’s knowledge of snakes and her willingness to answer my son’s questions about a potential purchase. I believe she breeds the snakes for their unique patterns which means there is a large selection of different looking ball pythons to choose from.There is a variety of other critters in the shop as well as the necessary food for all animals she sells.If you are in the market for a reptile I recommend this establishment over a box store.Layaway is available and I recommend parking in back.

The owner is amazing. She is so kind and incredibly knowledgeable about my bearded dragon. Whatever is going on with him she knows exactly what to do. Everything she has told me is perfect. We often share laughs as well. Her meal worms are the healthiest I have ever bought and she has taught me to keep them with a food supply as well. Carrots or other fruit or vegetables so they stay healthy. Nova Reptiles is the only place I will ever go now for food, care tips, and the chance to see all her other gorgeous creatures.

Rami is so generous with advice regarding reptile husbandry and care. She has many years of experience with not only reptiles but also wildlife rescue which gives her a broad base of knowledge. She cares about people's animals and it's evident in the quality of feeders that she sells in her shop. There is also a nice variety of supplies. Highly recommended.

Rami is amazing! Both with animals and customers. All of her animals are cared for incredibly well, and she provides buckets of information to anyone who asks for it. I have had snakes my whole life, but Rami is the first person at a store that I’ve felt both safe and confident to answer any and all questions. I have always felt like I could ask any question possible and not be judged. 2 of my Geckos and 1 of my Corn Snakes are from here and all have amazing temperaments and health. Her feeders are also cared for with the same enthusiasm.

She always has either good answers or someone else I can ask who may be more knowledgeable. When I found she had our favorite calcium powder (StickeyTongue) so was able to walk in and buy it. I get my snakes weekly meal here. There always great looking mice and only once did my snake not eat there mouse. I think my snake was sick or something. Great customer service and prices are good.

Rami (the owner) takes excellent care of all the animals in her care from the feeders to the pets, and is a wealth of knowledge. I am glad she was one of the first people I met when I joined the hobby, she gave me a great start and my animals have benefited greatly from her advice.
