We embarked on an awe-inspring adventure for six days. Backpacking along East Bank Head Trail to reach lightening creek, the entire experience was remarkable. The breathtaking beauty of Ross Lake surpassed all expectations. Setting up our camp right on the beach allowed us to savor the moment magnificient view imaginable.

Much beauty to be seen. One of the younger mountain ranges. Does not have the access throughout the park like others. There is a nice variety of mountains, lakes, rivers, hikes, etc to explore.

Wow, quite a place to visit. Predominantly a hiking vacation. Get the guide books, understand what yr choosing and go enjoy. Won't specify certain hikes, alot of overuse, seek the lesser traveled.

Such an amazing experience. Even with the wildfires it is unreal that this is a “free” national park! Recommending to everyone!

Visited Diablo Lake with the boat. Beautiful scenery, caught a couple fish and did some swimming in the cold water. We'll come back a couple times a year.

This is one of the nicer visitor centers I have visited. The people are very friendly. There are good exhibits showing the sort of wildlife to be found in the area. They have a nice shop.

The Wilderness Center was closed, even though their website said it was open. But it was very beautiful around the area and the building was well-maintained. Hope to catch it open next spring.

This was a very nice and compact visitor center that was situated right by our campground. It’s nice for those who don’t want to make the long drive up to one of the other two centers. This one doesn’t have much for views, but the rangers are still very helpful and helped us pick the hike we wanted to do. They also have some merchandise and a surprisingly large selection of nature books

Smaller national park with tons of designated wilderness. Lake Diablo was especially beautiful as well as all the cascading streams and waterfalls.

Shout out to the rangers at the WIC. I was really impressed with how quickly and efficiently you helped me plan a quick loop backpack trip, reserve my camp sites, and print out my permit. That video screen on the desk is a brilliant use of technology to help visitors quickly understand and select options for route and campsite selection. Knowledgeable ranger who knew the sites I was going to visit. Thanks for the help - I had a great trip.

Always a long line and it's hit or miss if the ranger knows anything about current conditions. Wish they allowed more permits online reservable, esp for locals who frequent the park often and know the rules. The park itself is truly amazing though. 5 stars on that.

A small visitor & information center. This is not the main visitor center. No fee to visit and you can grab a free map here.

This area is incredibly beautiful. I spent a week taking my boy scout troop to canoe on Ross Lake. All the rangers we interacted with were friendly and helped to ensure we had an enjoyable trip. I could spend so much time there just relaxing in the outdoors but life calls for me to do other things.

Extremely helpful staff! This is the spot to go to for backcountry permit information. They also sell some necessities in case you forgot something (e.g. MREs, water purification tablets) and books/park souvenirs.

Great ranger station. Staffed by awesome rangers, this is a great place to pick up Wilderness permits, or learn about the park. If you are looking to get permits for a popular area, you'll want to show up around a half-hour before the station opens to get in line for permits, but this is a great station for one of America's most beautiful parks.

Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great place to stop in before your adventures and get information on weather, trail conditions. If you are going into back country with your permit, they even provide free bear canister, which is fantastic (deposit fee of course).

Very helpful park rangers who were a wealth of knowledge on the area and the beautiful spots to check out in the Cascades. This is most certainly an underrated national Park and is well worth a visit to backpack, climb, or enjoy watersports on Diablo Lake. Most entrances don't require a fee to enter the park! Highly recommend visiting NCNP

Nothing better than the North Cascades. Buffalo Inn at Marblemount is very close to the ranger station. Because the park service is not taking reservations as of July 2021, it's wise to check in at the station the day before your hike. for better chances of reserving scarce campsites along your route.

Very helpful ranger working the day we went. All the campspots we had picked for our hiking weekend were full, and he helped us find one in the area that was still open.

The woman who helped me with getting a permit was extremely rude. She treated me like an idiot because I don't know my license plate by heart. She got even more irritated and confused when I told her I was driving my work car and couldn't just walk outside and get it. By the time we were finished, she was throwing stuff across the counter at me. She couldn't be bothered with being polite or handing the pen and paperwork to me.By far the worst experience I've ever had with this agency.

If you want to get a backcountry permit to popular destinations like Sahale Glacier Camp, try to get here one day before your trip at 7am. There's usually a line before it opens.

If you are going for a hike in any national park DO stop by the local ranger station they know the ins and outs of their parks and where to go what to carry what's worth watching and what you must see and where the crowds are and where you could go for a little privacy and a also about the safety from animal and just ourselves being stupid, they also know where the body was found of the one person doing the dangerous sellfy and fail to it's dead . Well just stop by and talk to them they are you best resource for anything also the passes that you might need

On my first trip here I was like a kid at Disney Land! It was my first encounter with a temperate rainforest and honestly I didn't even know such places existed. "SPECTACULAR" comes to mind!!
