I'm almost always able to find what I'm looking for here. Except for buttermilk this time. They were all sold out. 🙁 the employees are very nice at 5his particular Fred Meyers.

Fred Meyer at Maple-Valley is a decent shopping center for your groceries, electronics, pharmacy, wears, toiletries, sportswear, furniture and travel kits. There are many self checkout counters which is a good thing. I enjoy shopping here.

Don't go to the deli here if you want to get in and out. April will talk to her coworker for a while, finish slicing meat for whomever, put her jacket away, and only acknowledge you by holding up a finger as she walks by. This was all after she was told by another employee to help me. Never have I had to wait sooooo lo g for someone to slice a pound of ham. Terrible terrible terrible experience. And then the had almost no hotdogs buns save for their own brand.

Went to buy a pair of shoes only to discover there was five right handed shoes no left no signs of anykind nothing Monica the Manager came over this was her department. I showed her five shoes all right handed she didn't see any problem and was rude to boot.. After shopping at this store since it was built. This is the worst experience I've had here. Did nothing but waste my time if you can't afford to have somebody in a department. Then close the section and sell more toys.... If I could give a zero I would have. .... Follow-up went to Fred Meyer in Covington. Signs all over saying see sales assistant people were helpful. I've always gone to maple valley but I'll be going to comington from now on.

I love this Fred Meyer of Maple Valley. I am able to find what I need mostly every time. They are all friendly here and helpful. Sometimes I feel like they might have more fish and seafood options, but it's not a problem.

I can get mostly everything I need under one roof. Groceries, sporting goods, automotive and garden goods. They have clothing and furniture along with a pharmacy. Fred Meyers gas station on the side of the store.

I didnt feel the store was very well organized. It was neat & clean, but hard to find things. The employees didnt even know where two things were I was looking for.

The General Manager at this store should be fired. This store is always a complete disaster area. The store is dirty, shelves look as if there was a recent run like during a snow storm or pandemic. Shelves are half empty, the shelves that do have product are messy and disorganized. I am ALWAYS leaving this store without 10 - 20% of the items on my list. Things like vinegar and baking soda to broccoli and numerous frozen items to bird food and COFFEE! How does a grocery store in the Northwest REGULARLY not have ANY whole bean coffee on the shelf? When I shop at FM in Covington or Kent, or I go to SAFEWAY in MV, I find it a completely different experience. The stores are neat and clean, shelves are stocked and neatly arranged and they're not out of 10-20% of the items on my list. I've managed a grocery store when I was younger, it is not rocket science. You set a par for each item and when you find you're ordering your par every time that means you've run out of that product and your par should increase to ensure having that product on the shelf for your customers. Also, don't, for example, have 3 brands of garlic croutons. If you're going to have three brands of croutons how about a variety? A GM's job is to see where the holes are in your coverage each day and then YOU, as a GM, fill that void. Whether that be cashiering, stocking fresh produce (don't start me on moldy and damaged produce in this store) bagging or assisting customers in a myriad of ways. After shopping here for three years I've yet to see a Manager on the floor. I've spoken with other customers in the store and they all have the same complaints about this location. I'm not sure how Kroger is structured but my guess is there is a District or Regional Manager that is just as bad at his/her job in overseeing this location as the GM is at running it. IF someone in Kroger's upper management is reading this, my request is simple, do your job. In today's world there is no good reason for upper management to NOT be reading these reviews and making necessary corrections.

I was at Fred Meyers in Maple Valley yesterday. 1st I want to say I hate grocery shopping, I would rather do anything else. But the checker Jackie and the lady that was helping her bag my groceries were so nice. Happy and singing and just made my whole day better. Normally I would not think to leave a review for my cashier but they were absolutely incredible! I will always try to be in their line.

I was in doing some clothes shopping and this very intimidating large black man with grey 5 o'clock shadow started following me from the moment I walked in at 10:30 am.I tried to brush it off but he had no cart, it didn't seem like he was really shopping and he went as far as looking at some thongs right next to the ones I was looking at. When I asked a female worker to use the dressing room, he appeared behind me again. I was so scared I left all my clothes with the woman and didn't try anything on. I then went to the food section and down every isle I went he was walking by at the end of the isle staring at me. When I would turn to go the other way before I could get to the end of the isle, he would be there as if he was running around the isle. That's when I panicked and left without what few items I had in my cart. As I was getting into my car I looked back and saw the same man standing in the door way of maple valley Fred Meyer, filming me as I drove away. I was so upset my family realized something terrible must have happened. I returned with my family 1 hour later to ask for the security footage. Customer service called something over speaker. Few minutes went by and that same man came walking up. He refused to give us any of the footage. That's when my family and I realized he worked there. Of course he wouldn't want to incriminate himself. Someone told me hes ex police. Don't know if it's true. I still wonder if he may have followed me when I left the first time. He represents Fred Meyer and I will not be contributing to that sort of stalking, sexual harassment ,rude and aggressive behavior. I've noticed that there are a lot of other troubleing posts on here. That are similar. Please beware

I went in to cash my check and do some grocery shopping at the Maple Valley Fred Meyer. As uncomfortable as it was throughout I finished my grocery shopping and made my way to the customer service area to cash my check. While getting called up a loss prevention guy rudely came up and stepped in front of my cart, I sad excuse me to him and he stood there looking at me, so I went around him. At the counter trying to cash my check he was hovering over me making me and the worker uncomfortable, I turned and said to him "you're not very good at you're job are you?" He replied back to me "I don't have to be" while reaching for his phone and calling the police, proceeding to give my description to the police and stating he was having me trespassed. The worker who was trying to help me was amazing and kept her cool as she was just as confused as I was, before I could say anything she spoke up saying "what did he do wrong? He's cashing his check and paying for his groceries...". He of course ignored her so I myself asked him "why are you having me trespassed? I'm here cashing my work check and trying to buy groceries, I haven't done anything, you can search me I have nothing to hide, I'm being polite and just asking you what did I do and why are you doing this?" He totally ignored me and just kept telling the dispatcher to hurry and send the police.I apologized to the woman that was trying to help me and I grabbed my check, stuck my middle finger in the guys face, told him to F' off and I left. It's total BS that people can't even go grocery shopping without being profiled or made to feel uncomfortable while shopping.

I was checking out today and had some issues with the self check, and the individual that helped me out had a formidable odor. The rest of the store was as clean as you might expect but this experience literally had me taking a step back. I hope there are policies in place that can address this. I don't like the idea that they're touching things that could touch food.

I love this Fred Meyer store! Employers are kind and there are always great deals. Gaining fuel points every time I shop has made gas prices not as overwhelming, and has helped out our family immensely. Download the app to clip digital coupons, gain fuel points and other rewards!

This is for the Bakery. I had went into the store on 12/27 to order a cake for my sons birthday, which was the next day. Looking through the cake catalog, I found a couple different prints that had to do with planes. They said that they would be able to do it, they print off the image on edible paper and place it on the cake. Great!! The next day, which is my sons birthday, I got a call from The Bakery that they were not able to do either of the photos as they were removed because they were copyrighted. I asked if they had anything that had to do with planes. She said let me look, without any issues or frustrations, she said they didn't have anything. It was disappointing, but I knew it wasn't their fault. So I said to have them just put Happy Birthday on the cake. When I went to pick up the cake, I was going to get a toy plane, clean it well and place it on the cake. When I got to the bakery, no one was there. Went to the Deli, and the gentleman that helped me, wasn't sure but walked over to look for someone. When I told him I was there to pick up the cake, he said that he was not sure where they stored them, but looked anyways. He did actually find the cake and when I saw it, to my surprise they took one of the planes (same type I was going to get) and had put it on the cake. Without any additional charges or anything. They went above and beyond and my son loved his cake. Thank you so much for the extra steps that you all took. Thank you for the Deli guy ( sorry can not remember his name- I think it was Cody) for helping in a department that you do not work in. You made my sons day!!

This store may have its nice displays but the amount of discrimination, and unnecessary behavior when it comes to people of color is absolutely ridiculous. As a young person of color who has lived in the area, I have seen and experienced staff following people of color when they and myself are completely minding our own business, especially when we are already checked out and are trying to leave the store. The Covington stores for both Fred Meyer and Safeway are a lot better because they focus on character and not appearance. I’m sooooo done with this amount of childish and racist behavior from this store.

Living while colored in 2022 is already extremely difficult and scary within itself. Imagine moving to a city where there are little to no colored people and literally being followed through a store while shopping for necessities! Not only am I followed every single time I go in the store but I buy every single thing in my cart each and every time! Non colored people have full carts and are able to cash out with absolutely no problem! I have to drive to Covington in order to feel safe and not judged based off the color of my skin. I was tailed to the point where I made it a game and sent the staff in circles before stopping to write this review. I will never ever return

I used to love this Fred Meyer. It used to be clean and well stocked. I know it’s a busy store but it is incredible how empty their shelves can look at times. There is always trash outside the building. This used to be a nice store. Edit...their reset has been a disaster! I’ll never shop at this store again. Edit...This stores management has done a POOR job regulating the mask mandate. I will never shop at this store again. Shame on them

Awesome store. But they messed up my shopping experience by putting this nasty flag next to jewelry department 🤢... Like wow... Why the natzi flag in store?? Manager probably neo-natzi piece of trash. Should be fired!!!. Won't go shopping here anymore and will call corporate to complaint!!!

Last year, I noted that it's a huge, clean store & has nice, helpful employees. And now in Oct 2021, I just went and saw what looked like feces on the floor. There were several pieces, and some unfortunate person had clearly stepped in one. The pieces went down an aisle, and there was more in the back aisle near the milk/freezers.And now I tried going back in Dec 2021. Looked clean this time. But they don't enforce masks now, which is ironic when unmasked people (sometimes in groups) pass you talking and/or coughing, and the recording on the speakers is going on about how masks are required for everyone indoors.

I've never been treated as poorly by any grocery story as I was by this Fred Meyer location. The management are crass and hateful, openly being disrespectful to their LGBTQ staff while touting their inclusiveness. We were lied to repeatedly when we tried to alert them to an apparently obvious (obvious by their blatant shifty behavior) shoplifter. They told me multiple, conflicting lies about the shoplifter, including that Loss Prevention was surveilling the guy as a suspected part of an organized crime ring, before finally admitting the person was IN Loss Prevention AFTER I was made to look like a racist because the person was dark-skinned. The furtive, shoplifter-style behavior and the stories I was told by management were why I kept reporting on the guy, if they'd been at all honest I'd have dropped it. I've never felt so betrayed by a business I was trying to help. That was just the climax of the poor treatment we got here. Poor treatment at the deli where the managers seem to think one sauce per pound of potato wedges is too much; that when I'm trying to buy small, affordable amounts of meat and cheese they should take advantage of me and give me a $10 portion of cheese when I asked for a $2 amount; repeatedly trying to charge us for a soda when we wanted ice water and Fred Meyer policy (confirmed repeatedly) is to not charge for ice water. Staff were hostile and rude on all fronts. Products were stocked poorly and often expired or rotten on the shelf. Bathrooms were cleaned poorly and rarely.Pros: If you are extremely careful, it is possible to find a small number of acceptable products.Cons: Overall quality, staff attitudes, management culture and behavior, store maintenance, product safety, prices, stock rotation, product variety and availability.

I'm not sure why the difference, but the staff here are WAY less friendly and attentive than Covington. They won't give you a second glance and when you ask a question you are clearly interrupting them. You are either in their way or, at best, just another thing to take care of.We also recently had some photos printed there for Christmas cards. They looked like I'd printed them on a home printer from 10 years ago. Not the best quality, but not enough time for a second attempt. The store also isn't organized in a way that's very intuitive. Very difficult to find what you need. But that's true of the Covington store as well. It works in a pinch, but it's far from my first choice.

Not sure what type of Wi-Fi blockers Fred Meyer has going but when I can’t access my Fred Meyer app to add coupons for what I’m buying that’s a bit ridiculous.

Very nice spacious store with a variety of items. Wonderful helpful employees available to customers. Kyle in the gourmet cheese and deli department is knowledgeable and always ready with great recommendations. I love that the deli carries Boars head meats a nd cheeses! The Fred Meyer app is one of the best for creating a list, finding coupons and sales, and item locations in the store. It also gives you a rough estimate of the money you will spend allowing you to stay on budget.

We moved into Ten Trails about a year ago, and we found the staff both at Fred Meyer & Safeway to be rude & elite. After several encounters like this over several months we started to shop at the Covington Fred Meyer & Safeway, AND with a Costco also in Covington and all these at a single ROUNDABOUT we stopped shopping in Maple Valley all together.

Very good store. Almost always has what you need and has a large selection of meats and has a section of fresh seafood. Pretty good bakery section, the clothes there are ok, but this isn’t really the place to go if you’re looking for a fresh fit. Overall, if I need anything I usually go here to get it.

This is the only grocery store I shop at! Excellent selection of fresh healthy food not found in other Fred Meyers. Great customer service, lovely displays in the plant section, nice store layout. The only issue I've had is the fruit fly breakout over the extra hot summer. We had to stop buying fruit! The pineapples were particularly infested. Other than that I would definitely recommend this Fred Meyer
