This place and the people and the cats that goes in to all they do is top notch!We love it so much that we rented the whole place for our wedding and the owners worked with us to make a hyper local dinner that our guests still talk about. It may have ruined me for other people's salmon for the rest of my life. So so good!

I alway try a restaurant several times.. And this one has been surprising me more often than not.11/25 visit. I have never had a birthday party, but I always treat myself to a restaurant that I know will make me purr. So of course I came here again.Had the Lummi Island Seafood Chowder which was brimming with smoked salmon & with Cod.. Added in were all the rest of the fresh ingredients making a great start to the meal. It was accompanied by herb butter and Gluten free French bread..The pasta special had fennel in it, and again I trusted his culinary skills (I generally dislike fennel) and it was Perfect . . Just the right flavor balance, and portion size. So I was a very happy man with a clean plate. Finishing off with Desert that is, as always, excellent. So I had the meal and great time there I desired!9/17 visit. I don't like fennel, but I trust the Chef totally so I ordered the daily special Pasta dish which included fennel sausage.. And it was wonderful. He has an excellent balance to his dishes, and this one was as well. I actually had planned to take half of it home, but oops it was all gone. Couldn't stop eating it, as it's so rare that I enjoy a dish with fennel. Bravo.4th visit:I really love their Arugula and Citrus Salad and now get it with each meal (when it is available).For the main I ordered one of the specials, Pan Seared New York Strip Steak with Asparagus, Haystack Potatoes (not my favorite type, but well executed), Bearnaise Sauce on the steak and Jus. on the Asparagus. Steak was perfect medium rare, Asparagus perfect and large portion.I then wanted the local Hillcrest farms Rhubarb & Strawberry's as a Crisp, but it was already sold out (good sign).. So I considered my other options and With Hesitation ordered the Flourless Mint Chocolate Torte w/whipped cream and a Candied Mint Leaf. For decades, every Flourless torte I have had was a disaster.HOWEVER, this one was spot on texture, good size and very good flavor.. Not overly minty, just a hint. It was so good that I ordered a 2nd to go. My compliments to the chef.3rd visit:Arugula and Citrus Salad, with the Lamb and Pasta special. I don't often run into places that have a Lamb special, so will alway try it. This was very well prepared and I was purring.2nd visit:The burgers looked good, so I ordered one with "greens" instead of the fries. The "greens" and dressing were excellent and the burger was delicious, blue cheese on it was very good and all the rest of the fixings were as well. It had a nice grill flavor and was served piping hot.They also had a special that I would have gotten, but I saw no signage for it (I'll look / ask next time). So ask immediately so you can get it. It was a steak and looked great.There was also a very nice little group of musicians playing that evening.1st visit:The cod (fish&chips) was good and moist. Portions of fish were good sized. Way too many fries (especially since they were limp).The place is popular though, and has a great view. Service was flawless and friendly.

Lucky to have this gem, we love the Beach Store Cafe. Their pizza is thick crust deliciousness (I rarely like thick crust. Anytime they have local heirloom tomatoes, I order them, todays salad did not disappoint.Desserts (parfait and blueberry buckle with a hint of sage) were tasty.We’ve eaten here at least 6 times since the new owners took over and we will continue to do so.Bonus was the Thursday night live music!

I must share! We’re visiting from northern Ca, and this place was such a great experience!!We had a group of 8 on a Sunday night with 4 kids.Beer on tap was cold and delicious!!The specials on the menu were Shepherds pie and a yummy pasta, both were excellent!! (And made to order from the open kitchen setup)The deep dish pizza was tasty, and HOT!!Server was super pleasant and accommodating to our large group!I highly recommend supporting this local restaurant when you’re in town!!

There are two restaurants on Lummi Island: the famous one, with its exorbitant prices and the staff that can’t keep its hands off the local girls, and this one. But what the Beach Store Cafe lacks in reputation it more than makes up for in quality and value. I picked up a delectable plate of fish and chips and a fascinating, locally-brewed soda for under $20. This is basic fare, to be sure, but it’s basic fare done right. Even the cole slaw dressing tasted delicious and I rarely think that. Maybe I enjoyed my meal so much because it came as such a pleasant surprise but I feel like I can’t recommend this place enough.

What a great place for a family dinner! We took our two kids there for dinner while on let me island for a vacation and it was fantastic. My husband had the salmon and ships and I had one of their pizzas. The pizza was probably one of the best pizzas I've ever had! The atmosphere is a family friendly and warm. Everyone was very friendly. We would definitely come here again.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.

Loved the Atmosphere & waiting for a table, I got to see the food being cooked & plated. I was ordering a different pizza, but I was so happy the young lady suggested the Donair, it was Absolutely the best💚 you Guys Defo have it going, just a pity I'm not there next weekend as it's Halloween party but we had no where to stay! But we'll be back to Your Fab wee place💚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇨🇦🇺🇸

That was worth it. The service and the flavors were brilliant. The layout super fun. Table for 2 on the water view front porch, or inside standard, or funky fun backyard picnic tables like we picked for the Little’s to run a round a bit.North west pizza and mussels didn’t disappoint. Everything we had was fantastic. A Lummi restaurant win!

Wow! My first time since the new owners took over! What a lovely evening. We enjoyed the shaved zucchini salad, which was crisp, unusual and delightfully flavorful. He had a delicious locally grown chicken dinner and I truly enjoyed my deep dish pizza. They graciously accommodated my request for a red sauce, vegetarian pizza and outdid themselves on execution. Happy ambiance with locals chatting between tables.

Excellent food and service!We stopped here on a spur of the moment as I was craving coffee and a quiet spot. An amazing view with wonderful coffee plus crab cakes and heirloom tomatoes exceeded all expectations.Kid friendly as the pizza and kid food is tasty and fast. Board games, changing area and outdoor tables are available.Loved the service as they were attentive, kind, and thoughtful.

French Fries were so yummy. Perfect crunch, perfect saltiness and lots of em, soooo good. We had a beyond burger and the fish and chips and each a drink. Both were very delicious. They had this very cute Hawaiian vibe, backyard beer garden/tea garden set up for all seating. No inside seating at the time we went. Dogs are allowed outside, so we brought our pup. This place is just a 3 minute walk from the ferry dock, so very convenient place to go to for an afternoon outing to Lummi Island.

Friendly staff, great food, good company. We tend to split the fish and chips and a salad, and have plenty left over.Note that this is really the only good restaurant choice for locals, supporting a small island population. So sometimes you do have to wait a bit and the hours vary seasonally.Some locals think the food is too up-and-coming for their budgets. But it really is a good value for what you get.

Waited 30 minutes for a table. Sat at the table for 40 minutes without being asked for our order. We got up and left without ever getting any food. Servers seemed to be overwhelmed and unable to take care of customers. Seemed they were more concerned and interested in take care of to go pizza business

We stopped in for a quick bite off-season here (meaning they're open from 4-6PM). The crab cakes had great flavor and tasted like they came fresh from the ocean. I had a raspberry Italian soda with cream to drink, which was my first Italian soda. Very delicious! Finally, we split the (gluten free) fish and chips. They had no issue accommodating the split meal, and the GF part seems to be by default rather than special ordered. The fish were like the crab cakes in that they also tasted fresh, however the fries tasted a little off. They looked like sweet potato fries, but didn't taste like it... Perhaps they were burnt? We didn't complain though, and between the other stellar food and excellent service throughout the meal, I can't knock a star off for it.The special gas oven they had looked like it could cook some mean pizzas, which is definitely what I'll be trying the next time I go back.

Food to please every palette and fit every budget! From killer wood-fire pizzas to delicately braised short ribs to hearty chicken caesar salad to gourmet pastas to spectacular desserts, this restaurant NEVER disappoints. All the locals go here because they know its worth. Owners are wonderful, amazing waitstaff, also great wine and beer selection. You can even do pizzas for takeout - just call from the ferry line on the mainland and it will be ready for you to pick up as you drive past on the Island-side! Try Sunday brunch if you are there on the weekend - wow!

Love the BSC! It has a long history on the island. Great views of Hale Passage, the ferry, and the mainland. On a nice summer day, sitting out on the front porch is a treat. Food is excellent and portions are appropriate. Venue is not large, so expect to wait, especially if live music is playing. Picnic tables available in a grassy area behind the restaurant if you prefer a more quiet setting. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Check on open hours as they change depending on the season.

This place has it all. Consistently great food, ranging from their gluten free fish and chips and burgers, to amazing wood-stone pizza, to excellent pork ragu and roast chicken. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. You don't need to drive across, the Beach Store Cafe is a minute walk from the landing. It's worth it to drive on and cruise around this gem of an island.

This was a nice quick experience. Was pretty busy, we could see why. The food was amazing and the service was on point and quick. The potatoes had a few different seasonings and the way they were cooked that made them better than anywhere local. In and out in 30 mins. Great view made it feel like a vacation. Seeing the cooks in front of you is always a good thing. Thanks again see you again!

GET THE WAFFLE AND EGG WITH ORANGE BUTTER!!! Probably the best waffles I've ever had; super crunchy and tasty, a perfect mix of flavors. Adorable interior and nice view of the water. Really awesome service and waitstaff, would definitely go there again.

As my girlfriend lives on the island, I have dined at the Beach Store Cafe many times. The food offerings are varied, and excellent. The staff are all very pleasant, efficient, and knowledgeable. Because it is pretty much the only show on the island, other than the famous Willows Inn, there is often a full house of happy people - so a little patience may be in order. Settle into the island vibe.

Smaller breakfast menu than many places, but there's no reason to have 7000 different things when the 6 or 7 things on the menu are just what anyone would want! The veggie omlet was super delicious with pesto. Really friendly waitstaff too, which is always nice.

This is a charming cafe'. There was live music and the food was prepared in view of the bar seats we had. The menu had a great mix of options. Drink list and desserts menu were great also. Our food was well made and tasted excellent. The wait staff were timely even though they were busy with a 15 minute wait at the door allowing us to order drinks ad we visited while waiting for seating.
