Honestly, it's the RUDE sign that strikes a nerve every time I see it. "Visitors must register (And YOU are a visitor)"WOW! Really!? Not the warmest welcome by any means.Perhaps try "Welcome Deer Lake Resort Guests! Please register at..." You know, something that makes people want to take a picture next to it, or at least feel like they're getting a little hospitality for their money.

So many options to choose from- There are cabins, Condos and lots of great RV spots, there is even a few covered wagons to rent for sleeping. Nice beach with sun or shade depending on your preference and a large grassy. Cabins have AC, shower, running toilet, cooking area with fridge and a lovely big porch to sit on to visit and enjoy the beauty. Nice store on the property in case you forgot something. Jammie is great to work with.

We like Ike alot out there. Country store has not everything but it has just enough to keep the kids happy. Ice cream, hot coffee for my wife. We love how close it is to the water. And the park is dog friendly and plenty of space for them to be walked on leash. Play ground area for the kids. Has a bit of everything. Travel trailer 30 and 50amp service full hooks up.Nearby activities: Swimming. Golf.

Just a big FYI: there are no day passes for the public. This is not clear on their website, and they will not answer their phone to let you know this information, so don't waste your drive here. If you don't have something booked for an overnight stay, you will not be able to access the lake shore. The Resort's website tells you there are day passes available, but there should he a huge note next to it that says that it is only for the guests of people who have booked an overnight stay there. Again: THERE IS NO SHORE ACCESS HERE UNLESS YOU BOOK AN OVERNIGHT STAY. I would hate for others to waste their gas money and time as my family and I did when we tried to come for a day pass.

I don't normally take the time to post reviews, however I felt this one needed put on here. Deer Lake Resort just lost 7 different families that normally come once a year together. The disrespect from the girl owner is just ridiculous. We all reserved spots together over a year ago. She decided to move us and change it all up. Instead of being together as promised, she spread us all out throughout the park. When asked if she could move us back to where we reserved, she offered us a refund to just leave. Worst camp owner I've experienced and we will never be back. The only pros I see is that there is a nice playground area, putt putt area, and swimming spot for the kids.

Absolutely gorgeous views and clean quiet beach. Beyond Excellent service by staff. Really enjoyed our stay in condo. Our service dogs were allowed inside--which normally condos do not allow pets--especially 2. However owner kindly allowed my disabled Marine Veteran friend visiting from Texas to have his service dog and then my older senior service seizure dog -- Lilly -- I advised this would be her last week. At 16yrs I wanted to give my Lilly a good run n swim before I had to put her down for breast/lymph node cancer. You see Lillly in pic #5 I think enjoying sunshine on her blanket after good swim. It was a beautiful couple days. I thank owner n mgrs for extreme kindness and gratitude for special allowance for my Lilly. Definitely booking more days next year.

Although they say yes to dogs, they really mean yes we will take your money but don’t expect to enjoy your stay because they have no where to play, they can’t go to the beach and you can’t leave them in the RV. Not dog friendly at all.The sites a very small, thank goodness we only have a class C and nothing bigger! It was tight to say the least. The staff were nice but not very helpful, the lady working the store acted like she wanted to be anywhere but there. I get that people have bad days but every time I went in was the same. I truly hope this weekend is better for her.The park is clean, the lake is nice but unfortunately we could enjoy any of it because dog areas are nonexistent.

Found this little Gem hidden less than an hour north of home. This place at first had me a little leery thinking spots were too close, but the quality of ownership n residents totally changed my perception within hours. Cannot say enough good things about the ownership, they were on top of everything, even opening up the store after hours for a last minute forgotten item. We will definitely be back!

Went for the 4th of July and I tell you what, that was the most American night of my life. Between everyone being drunk, at least one fight breaking out, whole child support checks spent on fireworks, and waking up the next morning to see American flag overalls being worn by three individuals riding lawn mowers with small American flags attached.. 🇺🇲

Deer Lake Resort (DLR) let me use a credit I had for a cabin for Labor Day Weekend. We had an event planned earlier in the summer; however, one of the main hosts of the event had a COVID scare.I called on a whim wondering if they had any late minute cancellations and they did! Some resorts might have told me that they did not have an opening due to it would have been easy to get another customer for the cabin and just keep my money. They are not the type of resort that would even think of that! They gave me the cabin based on the credit - no questions asked.I showed up, game them my name. They gave me the key and escorted me to the cabin. The cabin was clean and had all the necessary amenities. It was small, but they are known to be small and that was not problematic. There was a spacious enough bathroom, kitchen and bedroom area. The bottom line is that there was no fuss or muss. It is a straight forward, family ran business that strives on providing excellent customer service and a quality area to camp or stay in a cabin. Thanks to the staff for making my stay GREAT! Decent stay. Sort of a loud campground. Spaces are fairly small with sewer connections way too close. Many RVs could barely get their awnings out. Dog owners lack courtesy in regards to their animals and restroom breaks as they are often within feet of your RV. Store is quaint and cool.

Great people, wonderful clean parks, bathrooms, beach etc. Very attentive to the campers needs. My son got hit with an unknown bees nest and the maintenance was out killing the hive before I was even done doctoring my son! 5/5 definitely going again.

Jamie and Dave take immaculate care of their resort and clientele. Jamie even stocked the kind of beer my husband likes at our request!Double thumbs up for Deer Lake Resort in our book!

Park is quite tidy and clean. Management was accommodating when I had questions. It was quiet there with a beautiful beach across from the campground. Friendly vibe from other campers.Only issue was the the spaces are close together.

We were having a wonderful trip despite very high prices for camping and store. Until the owner came crashing through several camp sites completely wasted. Ran over our neighbors tent and ran his golf cart into 2 of our parties cars. Belligerently telling us all he was the owner, cussing around our kids and ending up in a fistfight! Unreal behavior from a business owner. Will never go there again

It is an absolutely gorgeous area and the owners are wonderful people they treated my friends and I as if we were friends of their own. I didn't stay the night unfortunately but I certainly would like too. Only thing that bugged me while I was there was the number of people taking up the road walking. I think it would be a good investment for them to make designated walking paths so people would stay off the road.
