My pups love them so much they howl when they see Chevron on Industrial Way. I can't get them inside fast enough. Always friendly staff. The picture is my boys after a fun day with their friends at the Dog Zone

I dropped my dog off for daycare there on two separate days, my initial thought was how it was odd all the dogs are outside 24/7 when in their care, and how they are all in a concrete lot. The first day was fine he came home very dirty and wet though from being outside/ laying on the dirty wet concrete (since they spray the dog waste off the concrete as well it’s never really dry I noticed from watching the cameras). The second day I dropped him I noticed every time I checked the camera multiple dogs were chasing him and mounting him excessively on multiple occasions and no staff member went out to address this so I can’t tell if they were even watching the dogs. Again when I picked him up he was filthy, soaking wet, and smelled like dog poop when I gave him a bath the night before due to his previous day at their daycare. I’m not a “Karen” and I don’t usually write reviews either, especially bad reviews but I was very disappointed in their daycare services since all they do is put him in a giant kennel with other dogs and take them in and out as dogs are picked up/ dropped off. It’s also worth mentioning that there were at least four staff members in the office when I came to pick up my dog from daycare but none of them were outside watching the dogs in the lot. Just thought I’d share since we’ve been to multiple daycares (due to us moving) and we’ve never had this issue. Their facilities are also not very welcoming for the dogs, other daycares have structures for them to run and play on but the dog zone.

We have our baby boy in daycare here and he loves it after just a week he comes home tired. He is amazing at home and clearly they are working with him and keeping him busy and playing. Can't believe the change we see in our 7 month old puppy. Love it.

My dog stayed with the dogs on for eight days. I was never worried or concerned who’s able to watch on the live feeds. They gave her a bath and her nails and when I picked her up yes she was excited to see me. They took excellent care of her. No worries. Usually when I leave her in boarding, she comes home with a cough or diarrhea. Nothing she’s as healthy as can be. Thank you dog zone, and everyone who cared for her for taking such great care.

We have a 90 lbs mixed breed dog that travels with us in our RV. After a couple of weeks he begins to really smell and it’s amplified in a close space. Finding a place we can bathe him is always one of the first things we look for when we get to a new location. We were very happy to find the Dog Zone offered a wash your own dog service. We really appreciate that since he is good in the bath and with his short fur we don’t need the other services a groomer offers. The bathing facilities in the Dog Zone were nice with elevated tubs and a table for drying with a blow dryer. Our dog really enjoyed the treat options they offer after his bath too.It was a pleasant experience for us and we have been twice since arriving in the area. We only wish they had more facilities along our route.

I have been taking my puppy and my old boy here for daycare for several months. They have been absolutely wonderful taking care of my babies. When my puppy was spayed and I was worried about her being alone while I had to work they were able to house her in a kennel and kept a close eye on her for me. My old boy can’t play all day so they put him out in the yard part of the day and let him rest in a kennel during the rest. Their obedience classes are excellent. I have nothing but praises and deep gratitude for the entire staff. They are welcoming and caring. Your dog will be happy and safe with The Dog Zone.

Doug and his staff are fantastic. I would highly recommend the Dog Zone to anyone looking for good care for their pet. Our German Shepherd struggled to socialize with other dogs at other places and was totally stressed out especially going to a place in Woodland call Lone Pine Kennals. The final straw at Lone Pine was when the owner said she wanted to muzzle our dog so she couldn't bark so much. I couldn't imagine how much more that would stress our dog out so I went looking for a new Kennel and found the Dog Zone. For two years now our German Shepherd has loved going here as now does our Golden Doodle Puppy. We really appreciate Doug and his staff taking care of our dogs.Also...regarding the 1 Star Review by Life Everlasting I actually walked in at the end of this event. Doug was being very polite while this woman was acting totally insane threatening him and threatening to call the cops for who knows what. I did not witness Doug doing anything wrong while this woman raged like a lunatic and then went out to her car parked next to mine. When I left she glared at me like I had done something as well. Honestly I was a bit worried about Doug so I went back in and said he had was waiting for the cops to arrive. I later asked him what came of it and he said nothing since nothing happened other than this lady being a jerk. Obviously her post is complete BS. Doug and his staff are the best but one thing about the good ol Internet anyone can say anything they want especially complete nutjobs like the woman with the user name Life Everlasting. She needs help. If you need further proof just look at her other couple nutty reviews. Of course they are 1 Star as well. Gee...I wonder what the common denominator is with her? Could be her I am thinking.

I love the dog zone. They love my dog nearly as much I do and I know she's safe and happy when we drop her off.

My elderly dog (blind, deaf and hairless) loves this place. They treat the old man like a king. He’s a bit too old for the big dog yard, but the little dogs treat him like their old grandpa. I always joke that the dogzone and I have shared custody of my weredog.

My dog was attacked by another dog while being board here for a Week. After not contacting me for 3 days his wounds were finally so infected and out of control they had no choice but to notify me. After needing surgery and drain tubes be placed he was returned to the Dog Zone because we were still out of town. My Dog was then neglected to be cared for and his wounds cleaned properly for the next 4 days. I had the humane society pick him up and evaluate him before he was taken home. They said that his wounds were so dirty and uncared for they couldn't believe it. The Dog Zone agreed to take care of his $450 initial vet bill but wouldn't verbally agree to any other further care he needed. When I talked to the Owner about the situation and explained how grateful I was they were paying the Vet Bill, knowing legally they didn't have to. He responded "oh I know I didn't have to. I don't want to say I can get away with anything here but I can." Then chuckled. They wouldn't show me any footage of what happened or how he was cared for after the attack either. The place has more Cameras than a Bank but couldnt see what happened to my Dog? Please do yourself a favor and think twice before bringing your Babies here.

I boarded my dog, Cyrus, over the weekend and he had a great time! I was hesitant because he has social anxiety and never leaves my side but he had a wonderful time. The staff there were so helpful and patient with all the dogs. Cyrus lost his name tag and the staff found it and are mailing it to me. I'm so thankful to the staff for helping us over the weekend! Hopefully we can come back soon!

My dogs adore this place. They try to jump out of the window when we pull into the parking lot. The employees are always pleasant and super flexible with my requests. The one and only concern I have is if my dogs are getting enough water during their short time at day play. They always come out panting and drink for a good 5 minutes when we get home, and then they pass out from all the socializing (which is great!). We don’t go very often because we live 40 minutes away, but everything’s been super easy and I don’t have any complaints. I pay about $5/yr for an app subscription for their cameras so I can check in on my dogs and see how they’re doing during the day. We’ve had bad luck with a local center who would lock my dogs up for being hyper, occasionally barking, and basically being a dog, or leave them out in the cold and rain while other dogs got to be in the warm, dry area so I appreciate being able to monitor them here. I’m very happy to have found a place where they work with my dogs and let them have fun.

Great people! I did have one problem there, but the owner was quick to own it, and made it right. No excuses, he earned my trust. I continue to go there for services.

Only one star because we could not select negative zero. This business staff demonstrated their incompetence and neglect of animal care by killing our 6 month old healthy puppy. One week after getting a clean bill of health from the veterinarian, we boarded our 6 month old puppy for 10 days. The Dog Zone manager Jen called us for the first time on day number 9 of our trip, to tell us that our puppy had not been eating for several days and was vomiting. Still confused on why no phone call was made to us on day one of our puppy not eating or on day one of vomiting!Jen was more concerned about someone coming to pick up our sick puppy to get her out of there, but gave absolutely no concern for our puppy hanging on to her life. I am assuming if she can get the puppy out of the building, then she cannot be held responsible for animal neglect. We were out of the country and insisted that our puppy be taken to a veterinarian immediately, rather than someone picking her up. I will say Jen did finally take our puppy half dead, to a veterinarian, which should have been done the first day of her showing signs of being sick. The veterinarian stated she was barely responsive , had pale gums, low white blood count and low body temperature when she arrived. She was put on oxygen immediately due to her inability to breathe on her own!!The Dog Zone Manager Jen only told us our puppy was not eating and had vomited. Jen said she did not even think that our puppy would need any overnight care at the veterinarian. We had our puppy transferred to an emergency veterinarian and authorized aggressive treatment to save her life. She was diagnosed with pneumonia, from likely aspirating on her own vomit. The veterinarian believed the pneumonia happened over sometime and not the same day the manager notified us. Even after aggressive treatment our puppy could not be saved and we could not even say goodbye to her because we were in another country. If we had been notified the first day our puppy was not eating we would have insisted she be taken to a veterinarian immediately. But, Jen is not the only individual at the business that was aware of my puppy barely hanging on to her life because our puppy had been in this severe medical condition for days!!!!!Where is the humanity and compassion for our furry family members OR are all of the employees at this company just wanting to get the "problem pet" out of the building, so they don't have to be held responsible for their pure malice. This boarding/ daycare may seem trustworthy but do that make the mistake we did by trusting them with your furry loved ones. Now our puppy will never see her first Christmas.

It seems like all the dogs are put together (I think according to size) and are left to bark all day. Other places we have gone spread the dogs further apart. Maybe this is normal.

Only place in Cowlitz county I’d take my dogs. They play with and cuddle dogs. Unlike another place in town that uses shock collars to keep dogs quiet and inactive. Dog Zone loves the dogs as much as the owners

Absolutely love this place! I've been taking my puppy, Skye, here for the past month and she loves going here to play with the other dogs. She still doesn't like leaving me when I drop her off, but when I pick her up and take her home she's pretty calm. That tells me that she had fun there. She gets so energetic that she'll start chasing my cats (only 1 out of 3 likes to play with her), so daycare has been very good for her.I also love the staff. I knew from the first moment that I met them that they love dogs and they sure show it! They are always very nice and will update me on how Skye's doing when I pick her up and will address any concerns I have. When it comes to new dogs, they slowly introduce a new dog to the pack, which I also really like because Skye gets skittish around other people and dogs.It really puts me at ease knowing that there are very caring people watching over my baby when I'm away at work or somewhere else. I'd never take her anywhere else.* This picture was after picking her up at daycare on day during her first week. She was pretty calm that night.

They are open at their new place and thank goodness for that! We love taking our dog to the self wash. Friendly staff, all the tools you need, fantastic & powerful dog dryer... they even saved my dog shampoo when I forgot it; I asked if they had it a month later and they did! So glad they are open!

My pup Lucy loves coming here! We have had her boarded, groomed, in doggy daycare, and took training classes here. Not only is their staff AMAZING (looking at you *CHRIS AND TIM*) but they truly care for my pup and that makes me happy. Plus the treats/toys/ pet supplies they sell are great. If you want your dog actually taken care of, this place is a must.

I gave this place one star is only because zero wasn't an option. We had to come home from our out of country vacation because our dog got hurt there and they wouldn't take her to the vet or give her pain pills. Upon bringing our dog to the dog ER the ER doctor said they would call dogs on themselves because of the negligence witnessed. Our dog is traumatized and since this incident I've heard a lot more stories of this happening in dog zone. They should be shut down.

The Dog Zone is amazing! Doug and Tim and the rest of the staff are always so pleasant and professional. They know Annie by name and are always happy to see her. We have taken an excellent puppy training class with Tim, taken her to Daycare, and boarded her for short and extended periods. She is always happy, healthy, well-loved and cared for, and always happy to see us when we pick her up. They are truly the best!

I brought my dog here over the weekend. I was told he had a great time and got along well with the other dogs, which I was excited about because he has had issues in the past.I was initially excited that he came home so exhausted. When I went to give him dinner he was extremely hesitant and was almost seemingly afraid of the whole situation...this is a very food motivated dog who is usually at my heels waiting for dinner.I at first thought he was just too tired to eat but day two he was still very hesitant and did not want to eat at all. I tried again this morning he is now gagging at food and still very lethargic.I don't know what happened while at the boarding facility but I'm a little saddened by this outcome as I had really high hopes this would be his outlet to play with other dogs and have a place to stay when im unable to take with me, but now I'm really unsure.I brought my own dog food in so I don't believe this is just in relation to having a new diet, as he shouldn't have had anything new added to diet.

This place is great! I was super nervous about leaving my old girl with strangers for the first time ever in her 11.5 years of life; but they assured me that she would be fine and eased my fears. She left her first visit happy & tired from all the play. I took her in today for her second visit & she started getting excited as soon as she could see the building. I just picked her up and she got her nails clipped (for free!!) and she’s been all smiles all evening. Super reasonable prices, extremely friendly & educated staff! I just can’t praise The Dog Zone enough! If you’re having worries about leaving your fur baby, just call them or stop in. They’ll ease your mind & make you and your pup feel accepted. Take it from a crazy dog mom 😉

I adopted a dog from a shelter. Part of the reason the people left her there is because they didn't have a firm enough hand. Should have paid more attenton. LOL! We started taking kismet to The Dog Zone and it was the best decision we could of made. She listens better, she has better social skills, she is actually tired. We have used there overnight service too and that went well. The people that work there are nice and eager to help out.

The staff and owner are all really nice and both of my dogs are always happy to go. They've been to many daycare facilities over the years and I often find that one or the other seems happy about a particular place, but they both seem to like it here. I also love that they do free nail trims with the daycare. It's helpful to me and helps to keep the dogs safe. I've talked to some friends who have said the asphalt play area is why they haven't tried them out. It is actually why it took me a while to try them out, but I'm very glad I did! I highly recommend The Dog Zone!
