The owner himself works there, he is professional, knows exactly where all your choices of music are, very friendly and funny, prices are great, he asks you if you want what your looking for new or used instead of just pushing you to buy new.

Great variety of both new and used movies and music. Even has a pretty good selection books too. The owner runs the store and is very helpful and friendly. If he doesn't have what you are looking for, he can order it for you without jacking up the price. Great store to shop.

Best record shop in town. Having just moved to town I was very happy to find a place with such a great selection and great prices. The dude that runs it seems real cool and good for a chat. Also a great spot for all forms of music as well as reading if that's your thing😉 And a solid selection of new and used movies on various formats. He will I'm sure get sick of seeing me as I will be in there often👍

The owner of the store is super helpful and kind. I dropped off stuff that we wanted to get rid of and you have the choice of either getting cash or store credit. The store has a large selection of books for adults and children DVDs movies and other trinkets. Overall the store is organized and has a friendly atmosphere for every age group

Really like the new location. Came primarily for records and found a good variety. Prices are fair although some new records I felt were a bit overpriced but to support local in a small town sometimes you pay a premium. Used prices were very reasonable. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

If Jeff does not have what you w as not on the shelf he can get it for you through his warehouse. He's very cordial and knowledgeable. Amazingly awesome record shop! This place has both new and used movies, books, cds, and vinyl records. I picked up some newer vinyl for my kids to listen to and they just love the vast array of cool music and books. Love the selection of artists and genres that are available. Literally there is something for everyone. The owner is super nice, and always a good discussion about music. And Im here to support the local record shop! I was able to find a CD of interest to me, classical at that. Selection is quite limited at this time, will likely vary especially for used pieces. Not nearly the selection of someplace like Everyday Music in Portland, but also not the drive and having to brave their riots and violent protests. I noticed this time there are also some books that I have not seen before. May be a great place to discover a CD/DVD you had forgotten you wanted or missed.

I love hanging out and browsing here. It's old-school -- with music and books in haphazard stacks, with hidden gems just waiting for you to unearth. There's the smell of books, too -- that dusty, papery, inky smell that's unique to used bookstores and old libraries that I just adore. Prices are reasonable, and the owner(s)(?) are great curators.

It was excellent but there could have been coffee for some of us old people. We will be back you are the only place we can find movie that we like, like Queen Long. And who else could get me out of bed at 5am on the 31st year of meeting my husband. So call this special as we never do Black Friday's. Together 31years, Married 29 years next month. I have always enjoyed visiting this store. If they didnt have what i was looking for...they could always get it...quickly. For years my wife and I have sort of played this game where its good luck to buy a new C.D. before any road trip. We have always been safe so we just continuew to do it. So I really like being able to have easy access to a great selection of music and no editing like walmart does. Anyway this summer i stopped by their store ot was closed. I looked online and found a story about how sad it was the Longview store had finally had to close its doors.. i was bummed. I just found out the story referred to a Longview Texas, not Longview Wash. So i felt compelled to write how happy i am to find my favorite go-to store for music has just moved location and is still OPEN!!! Wooohoooo...thats all i have , they are awesome , always down for a good conversation , doesnt matter who is behind the counter.Thanks square Dog for toughing out the digital age where most people just dl their music.

They got a funky way of doing things. Bought in some DVDs for sale only to be told they have to run them through a machine for prices or something. Even verified that they take the DVDs i had, they werent scratched or anything. Should be specific and clear on their buying policies.

When going to Square Dog it's hard to leave without something. I recently got a turn table and came in here to buy my first record.From what I saw in my first visit, the stock is a mix of old and new. I found some VHS box sets that made me wish I still had a VCR.I'll definitely be back.
