Finally went here on our a recent vacation down to Long Beach. Yes the line was ling but moved along at a fairy fast pace. My wife got 1 scoop of Marion Berry Pie and I got 2 scoops of the Strawberry Cheesecake, both on waffle cones. Both were some of the best flavors we've ever tested, definitely give this place a try if you're patient and really want good ice cream.

Wow 32 yummy flavors of homemade ice cream! I started licking my ice cream cone, so there were no pictures. My choice was a delicious White Chocolate Raspberry Yum, and yes, it was! My daughter ordered a hot fudge sundae with the flavors of Chocolate Chip Mint and Spumoni. She loved it! Plus how convenient, you can do some grocery shopping too!

I haven't ever bought ice cream here, but I have enjoyed their fudge. It has been my normal stop for rocky road fudge since 2018. Rocky road fudge needs mini marshmallows and they have been rapidly disappearing over the past couple of years. I don't usually do a review unless I have mentioned an issue to the establishment, which I have done for the past two years. [I mentioned the lack of marshmallows to the manager and the woman who makes their fudge.] I don't know about the other flavors, but the quality has been decreasing and the prices going up.I know this is the case everywhere, but when you get used to a certain quality you expect it, especially when the price increases. It is now $18.99 per pound.Sadly, I had to look for a new place. If you want fudge go to Anna Lena's.

We stopped here while driving through and was so impressed by all the varieties of ice cream and other confectionaries that we now plan our trips around going here when we travel around the area. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of attractions in the area as well as being close to beach. This is where adults can be transformed literally into "a kid in a candy store" as there is a wide variety of candy to choose from, some great fudge and taffy on top of everything else that is available. Definitely worth stopping by as you won't be disappointed. Prices are great too.

Awesome selection of ice cream, everything our family tried was fantastic. It is a bit spendy, but the portions are huge. They also have a good sized selection of candies and fudge, as well as gifts- though some areas of the store looked like it was either closed off or being redone. There's a convenience store as well. Worth noting: the ice cream line is pretty long usually, and takes a while to get through. It took our family 40 minutes, plus side: we all knew what we wanted by the time ordering came around (you pay first). There are lines on the floor for social distancing, but some customers didn't care to observe them.

I rarely leave any reviews, but miraculously, I have time to do so since I'm on a mini vacation. This was my first time experiencing Scoopers. My friends and I decided to go in and get some ice-cream a little after 5:45pm. The place was busy, but it wasn't super packed. After waiting in line for almost 2 hours. I paid $7, and even tipped extra for an double scoop on an regular cone. Only to be very disappointed with what I recieved. My ice-cream scoops were little portions compared to what other people had.

I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews but this really ticked me off. Hubby and I went to Long Beach for the day, first time ever being there and decide to grab some ice cream when leaving. 3 or 4 kids working and still stood in line forever. Everyone in front of me was only getting ice cream. How long does it take to scoop ice cream?!? Apparently over an hour. One of the girls with strawberry blonde hair was more concerned with chatting with the other girl working then she was with scooping ice cream. Asked me 3 times what kind of ice cream for the 2nd one I ordered. Their set up is completely inefficient beyond belief. I'm all for giving kids job's but imo they can socialize on break or after work. Ice cream itself was great but that was it. Will never get ice cream there again. Probably why their tip jar had barely anything in it and I wasn't going to leave a tip. Owner's apparently don't read these reviews bc they haven't changed nothing.

I was hesitant to stop in because this place only has three stars, but I did it anyway out of boredom.I got a shake made with the mocha almond fudge ice cream. Tasty - just as you’d expect out of a shake. Lots of ice cream flavors. Nice ladies working and a ton of selections. Just look in the pics I’m attaching! This is huge or a c store.

they have GREAT flavors n love it. but its too big portion n expensive for the icecream. my husband had to ask if they have the scooper for KIDS SIZE(appropriate size) n make it way smaller for my kid with small cone.

We go to Scoopers once a year as a stop during our family camping trip. Our three kids now have it as a tradition every August to get some ice cream after a fun day at the beach. We love the selection of flavors as there are so many to choose from (I still don’t know why anyone would get black licorice ice cream 😅).Yes, there tends to be a long line and a wait times range from 15 mins to 30 mins (we go during the week before 4pm), but we don’t mind. It’s a once a year visit for us and we enjoy it.The staff is generally solid as they are younger adults trying to help a ton of people get through the line.It would be cool if they had a restroom inside, but again, a porta-potty will do for this stop during our camping trip. We’ll be back again next year!

We have been in here many times. The line has always been long for ice cream but the selection is second to none. The market is junk food heaven and just what one may need for a beach visit.

This is a great place to get ice cream while at the beach. They have over 64 flavors, including my favorite Black Licorice. Yes it is jet black. They are on the expensive side and a little busy on the weekends.First timers: you need to decide how much ice cream you want first. You then decide on the flavor.

Deliciously creamy ice cream. This is a Pistachio Almond junior cone. Be prepared to wait in line but totally worth it!

There were two employees working the ice cream counter. We went during Oregon Spring break time. The line was long and you could tell employees were tired of the line. The girl was dishing out the ice cream while the boy was ringing everyone up. Then they stopped ringing people up right when they got to us and he helped her catch up on ice cream orders. He helped her catch up on about ten customers, then came back to take our order. My two young kids were getting super antsy and waiting for 30 minutes for a banana split and ice cream cone was dumb of us, but we had already waited a long time so we just waited it out. Prices are going up on everything everywhere but $9 for a banana split was the first for us. The place is full of all kinds of delicious foods, sweets (chocolate and candy) and more. There are so many ice cream flavors to choose from. I wanted to get a bunch of flavors but if you get one scoop of ice cream- you get one flavor. $3.75 for a junior size small cone. My son chose the play dough flavor. I chose banana split so we could get three different flavors and toppings $9. Banana split was delicious. I had coconut cream ice cream, lemon pie flavor and a cookies and cream ice cream with hot fudge and crumbled Oreo cookies for topping.

We visit Long Beach often and unfortunately this is the only ice cream shop with more than like 5 flavors. I’ve had several bad experiences but this one’s the cherry on top. Absolutely no rush amongst the staff even if there’s 50+ people in line. We waited for an hour for 3 cones, and 2 out of the three were broken. I’ve witnessed staff in the past roll they’re eyes at customers, and yell at customers when they ask a simple question. The system they have cannot be any less efficient (pay before you get the ice cream). I would say take your service elsewhere but this is the only place in Long Beach, but if you’re willing there’s a cute little ice cream shop on the beach at ocean park (15 min drive from Long Beach)

They need a better process of how they service. Everyone has their orders ready. But right after they place their order. They have to wait another 30-40 minutes to complete the order. The young lady that works there barely does any work. Takes forever to take an order and doesn’t communicate well. She takes an order then leaves to some where else. Leaving her partner alone to complete all the orders. They need more people to help scoop orders. I know they have to have more people looking for a part time job during the busy season. We spent a total of 1hr and 8 minutes for 3 ice creams. Roughly 43 minutes in line to place the order and we were 2nd in line. Then another 25 minutes for them to scoop the ice cream. 1 single cup, 1 double cup, 1 single cone. They should change their name from “Scoopers” to “Waiters” because that’s what they make you do. Wait instead of scooping.

This place is A LOT larger than it looks. My kids wandered around looking at everything there for like 30 minutes. They have taffy, a cafe, grocery section, toys, Scoopers merc, and more. The star of the show for my kids was, surprisingly not the ice cream, but the (toy) wooden rubber-band guns. The ice cream portions were VERY large. A “single” was like 2-3 scoops - they literally fill the entire bowl up.Cons: The line was VERY long and a little chaotic. There were too many people wandering after paying it was a bit hard to see all the flavors without feeling pressured.

As the largest ice cream shop in town they certainly didn't seem to need to put much effort in. It was not particularly busy but we certainly felt crowded and rushed. The process started with the till attendant rattling off the 15 or so flavors which were not in stock, and then pushing you down the line. the staff behind the counter was about as unenthusiastic as you can get, which is fine, its a summer job, but the lack of leadership or coordination in the shop took me back a bit. Just seemed to be a mess and you almost felt depressed for the people working the counter. mind of took all the fun out of getting an ice cream cone.

Ice cream was ok. They have a large selection of chocolates, ice cream, and candies. Service was a little slow but they were incredibly busy.

This is one scoop 🍦 just so you know in advance. I’m honestly surprised about some of the reviews not being so good. My visit was great. Only a few people in line. Look at the scoops they give out you can’t be mad about choosing to wait for that 😀. Good selection of salt water taffy.

So, i agree w the comments about the long lines and the discombobulated service. The process could be a lot better.BUT….the bang for the Buck as far as how much ice cream you get for the price you pay - booyah. The ice cream was also better, quality wise. The line wasn’t fun, no doubt, and if you have young kids keep that in mind (or if you don’t and you have young kids around you, you may want to have a glass of patience beforehand).Cool spot though and definitely a time capsule.

The ice cream line was pretty long, but didn’t budge in the ten minutes I waited. So I grabbed something else and waited to checkout and saw the informational sign in the attached photo. Blatantly disregarding reality, as well as a danger to the health of their employees and community. Interesting that this wasn’t posted on the door, so those not interested could simply turn around and leave.

every single item on their shelves is expired, from cleaning products from 2007, and peanuts from a year ago in 2022, the peanuts are right next to the long daily line of ice cream, how hard is it to order new things each time something is expired, the candy on the shelves from 3 years ago that children are attracted to… this is gross

My family and I have been coming here since I was like 8 years old at least! Its our favorite place. Always has delicious ice cream and the gift shop is super fun. A family favorite!! Its tradition, every time we go to Long Beach we *always* go to Scoopers. There's no way around it!

Waited 45 minutes for ice cream! I’ve never seen slower employees in my life! They also spend a great deal of time socializing with each other when the line is out the door. By the time we ordered most of the flavors advertised were gone so we asked for our money back for one of our orders. The ice cream we did get was good and a large portion. Not sure I would return considering the very slow paced service.
