Got a custom cake ordered for my birthday, and it was perfect! We've been coming here for awhile, but this is the first time I've ever ordered a custom cake. The process was super simple, and I loved that they had a visual guide I could reference when placing the order over the phone. The process was super easy, and I didn't feel rushed at all!The cake itself was delicious and they brought to life the Max & Ruby cake I had always wanted as a kid! This was the best birthday I've ever had, and this was the first time my birthday cake was something I had complete control over. Thank you so much!

Kudos on an outstanding apple fritter. (!) Not oily at all. Moist and bready on the inside, lightly crunchy on the outside. Tasted wonderfully fresh. More than the usual apple flavor too. Really made us take notice. Maple bar was nice too. Even the thermos of self-serve coffee ($2.50 for 12oz cup) was pretty decent on its own (and nicely hot), but it really went well with the apple fritter and maple bar. Would happily return when visiting the area again.

Cute popular bakery and deli in downtown Long Beach. A busy spot, but the line moved quickly. They have a few items that are allergy friendly... dairy free + egg free (vegan). They are listed on the wall behind the cashier. The bacon wasn't crispy, but fresh, thick and had good flavor. I was told the breakfast sandwiches are very flavorful too.Free street parking. They have a couple of tables and stools inside, but most people were picking up food to-go.

I have lived here sense I was a kid until I moved to elsewhere but I still come to visit. I used to love getting pastries from this place, but with recent events I will not be going back. My friend and I were having our birthday party this last weekend and she had ordered the cupcakes she wanted 12 and was quoted $35 (this will be important soon) she specifically asked for 6 to be a vanilla base with pink frosting with white sprinkles. The other 6 where supposed to be Chocolate base with a black and white frosting to resemble a cow print with fondant horns. As I said earlier she was quoted $35, but these people proceeded to charge her $48 almost $50 without telling her if the fondant was extra then she should have been told before being charged!! Well she is told you can only be a few minutes late to pick them up the pickup time was at 3 no exceptions. So we send someone to pick up these cupcakes we were so excited for them, but were highly disappointed when we got cupcakes with all pink frosting no sprinkles and the horns where made with frosting and to be quiet honest they looked like absolute garbage they looked like a kindergartner decided to have a project on cupcakes. The vanilla base ones looked square and looked like they were just tossed around willy nilly ,so we had to redecorate them to even look presentable for our birthday. Our cupcakes looked like they were doing the YMCA with the so called horns like how did y'all do this type of work and think this is acceptable.

Remember when you were a child and you’d get a treat from grandma fresh out of the oven? Yeah, this is that place. So so so many desserts and they are soo big! They also have a deli. We ordered a sandwich and a cup of chowder. The chowder was so chunky and the clams were just ugh! So delicious! The sandwich also didn’t disappoint. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was cute like grandma place. Cookie jars surrounded the top of the walls that wrapped around the store. Takes me back to when we had cute cookie jars for my little ones. For me this place is dangerous! I would be here every day if I lived close. So I will make it a tradition to frequent here any time I’m in the area for sure!

So glad we stopped in at this place while on vacation in the area. Being from a higher elevation at home we don't have bakeries like this one. We had breakfast from here twice and all sandwiches were amazing. The only reason I'm glad I live far away is that their pastries are so good I would put on so much weight from being able to eat them all the time. The service was super friendly and attentive. If you are in the area be sure to stop in.

A great place for a quick breakfast, lunch, or snack if you are in Long Beach. A local family run bakery that has gluten free options available. You can get a classic BEC on homemade gluten free bread. The chocolate chewies and coconut macaroons are a favorite no gluten added snack.

A must visit when in Long Beach! Delicious sandwiches on amazing breads. We especially love the Portuguese herb bread. Then the baked goods are to varied and scrumptious! Plus a great atmosphere in a fun town!

Tried this on our trip up at Long Beach, WA but was unable to post until today. Purchased several donuts and cakes to try - was able to try the Devil Dogs, Tiger Paw and Carrot Cake so far.The donuts are 5 star solid and held well for a day after purchase. The carrot cake was great tasting but was overpowered by the frosting. Otherwise the carrot cake itself was fantastic.Definitely glad that we went to try this bakery and highly recommend it to anyone passing through. Their treats are amazing!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We tried breakfast sandwiches this morning 🌄 the Spanish, French and California. The Spanish was the best by far, followed by the Cali and lastly the French. French needs some sort of sauce, very buttery but no specific flavor. Spanish has peppers in the bread just wonderful 👍 not spicy just tasty. The really need to sort out the ordering flow. Slight rearranging of the cash register to the right side of all the cases would fix many of the traffic problems. Put both registers next to one another.

We had breakfast sandwiches and latte coffee here plus a pastry. One of the best bakeries in the USA from my experience. Not for French style croissant but American style from scratch pastries. Very good products and service.

If you decide to come in after 12 pm, there isn't a huge line. They still have a wonderful celebration of pastries. I went with a lemon turnover and a Bavarian cream bar. My daughter chose a gluten-free opition, Chocolate chewy cookie. My husband decided on a Apple fritter and Cream filled horn. Their sizes are gigantic. They are the best donuts we have ever enjoyed. What a delicious treat! Plus we purchased a fresh loaf of delicious cinnamon swirl bread. Great for cinnamon french toast, cream cheese, or butter. Yum -Yum!

So many goodies in one place. It was hard to choose from. Very delicious! We really appreciated that they were open on Sunday morning. Thank you for serving us breakfast.

If there's only one place you get to eat at in Long Beach, make it this one. You can get excellent coffee, baked goods, and sandwiches all in one place. They open early and serve their entire menu all day. Easily the best food we've had during our stay.

We went here both mornings we were in Long Beach. We tasted the pastries, donuts and the California egg sandwich. Everything was delicious. My fave was the apple fritter. Coffee was not very good though.

I'm a Penisula resident and have patronized this donut shop for a couple of years now. The last time I was there, I finally got fed up with the lack of caring that goes into their products and service. I spent my last twenty dollars that I had budgeted for eating out this week and what I got back was absolutely day old donuts in place of fresh and also the employee got my order wrong. I've had it and I will not go to this restaurant anymore. Too bad they don't have any competition because they certainly need to know that they would lose customers to them. Don't go there thinking you'll come out happy. They are extremely overpriced also.

Holy "fill in the blank"! Maple dog. Get the maple dog if you want to celebrate anything(literally any excuse to come here) or if you want to melt away your troubles in one bite. And to top it off, everyone who works there has been very pleasant, which is impressive because I'm sure they're busy all day everyday dealing with all sorts of people.Keep it up! You guys are wonderful!

Awesome! One of the best bakeries we've ever been in. Large variety of all kinds of Bakery Goods, bread, donuts, cookies, pastry, pies, cakes, and you name it :-) chili and clam chowder, sandwiches, and a deli meat section as well. Also a nice variety of jams and much much more. We also love the very large, probably the largest we've ever seen cookie jar collection! So when you go inside the bakery look up in a long the edge of the ceiling you will see them! Don't miss this wonderful place, staff is great and you will have a great time!

The Spanish sandwich was fantastic, as were the biscuits and gravy that my wife chose after asking for a taste of the gravy, which they kindly provided. The bakery was busy when we were there, which wasn't surprising given the quality of food on offer, but the service was nevertheless quick, efficient and thoughtful. Highly recommended.

One of the best bakeries I've been to (I like to check out bakeries everywhere I go)! Biggest variety of offerings; cookies, pies, pastries, donuts, bread, rolls, cakes. I didn't have enough appetite to try them all, so I'll have to go back sometime. Cheese bread disappeared in one meal at our vacation home. I didn't share my peanut butter frosted brownie. Donuts and cookie tried were also excellent. Not as expensive as some bakeries either.

Got some Fruit Cake this holiday season not really knowing what to expect. It was delicious. Exactly like my grandmothers. I drive from Astoria to Long Beach probably once a month just to buy a pie or donuts for my staff and family. Thank you for being so good!

Dylan's is my go-to place in Long Beach. My family loves everything we've tried. I've driven three and half hours just for their baked goods. Dylan's literally bakes love into everything they make. How can that be beaten? ❤️

I visited this bakery often back in 2010-2011, when it was called Long Beach Bakery. I always ordered the Texas donut, it was my favorite. This donut is expensive but well worth the price, it’s so delicious. I could literally eat these all day long. Try it for yourself and tell me it’s not the best tasting donut you have ever eaten. Thank you.
