Such an awesome location along the 101 to stop for incredible oysters! The roasted oysters are my favorite, they had bourbon butter the weekend I was there. We came on a Sunday afternoon with no reservation and only waited about 20 minutes before getting a table. The A frame tables are so cute and the view of the water is gorgeous. You literally get to eat looking out at where the oysters are from, so cool! The little farm store has food to go as well as other items for purchase as well. Highly recommended!

We stumbled upon the Hama Hama Oyster Saloon last Friday without a reservation and were lucky enough to snag a table. For anyone planning a visit, especially during the busy summer months or on a sunny day or holiday, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation in advance, as the place fills up quickly on the weekends! Our meal was nothing short of fantastic. We indulged in the tomato soup and the seafood chowder, both of which were rich in flavor and comforting on a chilly day. Of course, we couldn't pass up a dozen of their fresh oysters, which were the real highlight — so fresh and perfectly shucked! The drive to Hama Hama was an experience in itself, scenic and utterly enjoyable. It set a wonderful tone for what was a delightful dining experience. Echoing other reviewers, the setting is not only beautiful but also relaxing, making our meal even more enjoyable. We absolutely plan to return to the Hama Hama Oyster Saloon. The food, the atmosphere, and the drive all make for a perfect getaway. Don't miss out on this gem if you're in the area or looking for a worthy culinary adventure!

Celebrated my birthday with a hike to the Staircase Rapids followed by a late lunch at the Hama Hama Oyster Saloon. Had a dozen raw and a dozen smoked oysters that were absolutely delicious and fresh. The pickled vegetables were sublime and clams were so well seasoned and cooked. Went to farm store after to bring home some crab cakes. The location is picturesque, food was amazing, and service was great. What a place!

Must visit. Both fresh and baked oysters were delicious. We didn't make a reservation in time, and they were booked out around a week in advance for a Saturday. And this is in February. We were lucky to get a table, but not an A-frame.Nice views of the Hood canal and they have literal mountains of oyster shells.

When we arrived there was no wait. We got a table number when we checked in with the host and we were supposed to tell the cashier what are table is for them to deliver it. While we passed the host, there were bins for blankets which was a nice touch. After ordering our food we sat at our table and started our heater that was at the table. Luckily there was someone who helped us start it.The server delivered our food and explained to us that the bucket has the u-shuck oysters that we ordered under the ice. Honestly, if he didn’t tell us, I wouldn’t have known. The instructions on how to shuck them was straight to the point. It was a great hands on experience. Enjoyed the flavors of everything and just the environment. Didn’t feel rushed and we took our time to just enjoy the food and atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back.

Always a great atmosphere and fun place to stop to and from recreation in the Olympics. Ate the chipotle bourbon roasted oysters, savory clams, and clam chowder this time, which were all excellent. Ordered a hot spiced cider to stay warm while waiting for food. Took a long time to get food from after ordering (~40 minutes) but could tell all the staff there were hustling to keep up with the number of customers. Closes early so go for lunch or an early bird dinner.

We will be back on a day the full menu is open and truly can’t wait to try EVERYTHING. We will be making this a normal visit and will be back many more times to come! Thank you for an amazing time and some amazing oysters!!!Food: 10/10Ambiance: 10/10Staff: 10/10Parking: LOTS!Kid friendly 10/10Remember although it says “closed” Monday- Thursday the farm store is open and they do have a limited menu and plenty of seats :) so go check them out!

Our first time won't be our last! They were coming out of a power outage and the staff remained helpful, good natured, and attentive. We had chowder while we waited for an available table, then enjoyed oysters grilled, and on the half shell. We also had Manila clams. It was all incredible! Get extra bread, because you won't want to waste a drop of broth.

Had a really good time here with the family. My two young kids loved the shell beds that you can actually walk on and check out. We usually try to keep the kids quiet to not annoy the staff and patrons at restaurants but this place seems to embrace the idea of a family friendly establishment. The beer and wine selections were great and the food was fresh and delicious. There’s also knowledgeable scientists staff there to talk about how awesome the shellfish are for the environment. I highly recommend talking with them. We will def be back.Kid-friendliness: The kids loved running about. And the staff didn’t seem to mind at all. They were super friendly

Delicious food, awesome environment and really great service! Walked and and got a table, all seating is outdoor but they have heaters at each table and blankets that you can bring with you. Order food and drinks at the counter and they’ll bring you your food. Right on the water with awesome views of Hood Canal and the food was SO GOOD. I ordered clams and chowder and my mom got the grilled cheese with chowder and it was amazing. Not one complaint! 5 stars for both of us!

Great little spot to grab the freshest oysters plucked from the sea/river right next to the restaurant. All the seafood options was delicious however the highlight is their fresh oyster option. That was far and away the best value dish as you can't get it anywhere else. Shucking your own oysters was kind of fun and surprisingly not that difficult. Dessert was quite delicious as well to cap off an amazing meal. Was able to explore the farm and see live oysters and clams during low-tide.

Always a pleasure visiting this place whenever I’m in WA. Food is amazing, surrounding views are beautiful, staff is always friendly, service always on point.Yes, without a reservation we waited for up to 45min for a table, but for us that was absolutely not a problem to enjoy a beer outside by a fire pit while waiting. The farm store is also pretty awesome with a great selection of products to purchase. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone that enjoys good food and fresh air, and doesn’t mind waiting for a table. The wait is worth it though.

The seafood is amazing! We ordered 12 raw oysters, the purple steamer clams, and the crab cake, all of which were very tasty. We love outdoor dining and the outdoor seating here is awesome. We only waited about 6 minutes for a table for two on a Friday afternoon. Our food came very quickly, and our waiter and host were both awesome. They bartenders unfortunately game my girlfriend a pretty hard time about her ID and assumed it was fake because she “looks young” regardless of the fact that she’s almost 23. I understand that they have to question your age and verify that the ID is real, but saying that someone “looks super young, and her outfit makes her look like she could be in high school” and then calling other employees over to laugh at how young she looks is pretty unprofessional and rude, and could have been handled much more professionally and kindly.

Had the Oysters on the half shell. They were fresh and the perfect amount of briney. The house made mignonette was perfect with a tiny dab of hot sauce. We also got the Purple Savory Clams. I wish I’d had room for another loaf of bread to dip into that yummy sauce….in hindsight I should have asked for a to-go bowl….would definitely return. Best seafood I’ve had so far. Eating area is very cool…Loved the picnic tables with plenty of room for kids to run. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. Perfect place by the water. Highly, highly recommend.

Eating DELICIOUS fresh oysters on the beach, what's not to like!? We reserved a table for $75 that includes two dozen oysters, and got a quaint little A-Frame structure with a table and a heater. They provide blankets too! We ordered the chowder (YUM) and pickled veggie platter, as well as an abundance of wine and beer, everything was fantastic. They had a fire going that we enjoyed sitting next to very much. Everyone was super friendly. Go try it out!!
