This Walgreens is in a great location off of Steilacoom Blvd. The store has a Redbox and a great Pharmacy Drive-thru. They also sell Blue Rhino natural gas tanks. There is a Photo counter to help print out your digital pictures. The Pharmacy is clean and doesn't seem to get busy. The store staff are very nice and customer focused. The parking lot has a 0 minute limit for parking so you'll have to be really quick :-) The store is well stocked with lots of snacks and health supplies. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism from the men at this store. I called to ask if a certain product was in stock. It just happened to be a makeup item and the man who answered the phone told me there were no women working and that I should call back later when a woman was working. I asked him, “you can’t look for a product?” He was very reluctant and finally handed the phone to a different man. This man also kept making comments about how he doesn’t know anything about makeup and doesn’t know what he’s doing when it comes to makeup. These statements were not only sexist but make them look extremely lazy. Looking for a makeup product is no different than looking for a hygiene product, food product, etc. I wasn’t asking for makeup advice. I was asking them to look for a specific product. I am extremely disappointed.

Called to make sure my medication was in stock for correct dosage and quantity because it’s on back order. They said yes but due to medication class I need to contact my doctor and then they can fill it. Go through all their steps and waited all day just to be told “your medication is on back order” THEN DONT SAY YOU HAVE IT IN STOCK.

A long time ago when I was standing in the pharmacy with my grandma when COVID-19 was still going a rude Vietnamese guy told me to maintain 6 feet and there was nobody standing around me and that pissed me off 😡. If people don’t have anything nice to say to me then don’t say anything 😡.

Overall my service was relatively fast given how busy they were. But I had an issue with my insurance and I just feel like the pharmacist was aggressively rude about it. I’m sure he’s stressed out and has had a rough few months. But I felt attacked over something that was entirely out of my control. I also felt discriminated against based off of us being a military family and having military insurance. I am still just shocked over the whole experience. I wish I had stopped and asked for a manager to complain. Completely unacceptable. I work in the healthcare field as a provider, and I have never seen any provider treat a patient so poorly.I’ll be finding a new pharmacy. In the meantime, this pharmacist should face discipline if not losing his job.

I'm leaving this review specifically for my experience with Kevin. He did exceptional at helping me today. He had a line full of people, was upfront by himself, greeted me and helped me with my return as well as managing the phone and answering all my questions that held up his line. Thank you Kevin for being such an exceptional employee and handling retail so well! Give this man a promotion!

Every time I got in to get my prescriptions, this Asian dude is always angry. He is short with is comments and throws our prescriptions. May consider other pharmacies if this continues. Update: The staff continues to be rude and interrupts you while you are speaking. Changing to CVS as I have had better experiences with them.

I meant to do 5 stars for MY Walgreens on Hipkins and Steilacoom. I want to do a HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THE ENTIRE STAFF at this store, for showing up every day with a smile, with more patience than anyone should have to have, for trying their best to satisfy the needs of sometimes an unappreciative public, for trying to keep their shelves stocked with product and for tolerating people who do not respect the physical boundaries set up to protect them. PEOPLE, they cannot back up any farther and still reach their terminals, YOU CAN! So let's all give them a thumbs up, a thank you, we appreciate what you do, every day. And just for fun, if you see one of their trash cans overflowing, take a minute and mention it to an employee. I have seen jerks at the end of the parking lot, cleaning out their car and just dumping garbage and clothes, and then there are the nice folks who clean all the garbage off the floor of their vehicle and throw it in the general direction of the trashcan. Nice behavior.Oh, and the shout out includes the Stars in the Pharmacy, kudos to all of you who keep us healthy and moving forward. Bless you all, stay healthy.

Referred to this Walgreens by another Walgreens for a flu shot. Showed up at 9:00, and before asking for anything was told to wait because they are still getting ready for the day. I understand this, but in most jobs one must be ready to go on opening, not sometime thereafter. When they got to me at 5 after 9 and asked for a flu shot, I was told I had to wait at least another 25 minutes because they had just opened, and needed to do some things to get ready for the day. I wonder why they don't start getting ready for opening before opening, rather than after?

Terrible customer service. Extremely angry that at the last minute, we were denied our scheduled covid testing after only being 5 minutes late for 2 of the 3 people in the same car. They allowed us to do 1 test and refused the other two. It defies all logic and means we won't be able to fly to our destination on Saturday. To make things worse, we're all already vaccinated! Thanks Walgreens for ruining our trip for refusing to give us a test that was pre-scheduled and set aside for us. I'm leaving this petty review because it's all I can do and I'm so furious

A nice clean store and not too busy. While it's not a 24 hour location the hours are fine. The store is on a corner and access to the parking lot is a little tricky compared to other locations. You'll be fine as long as you drive safe.Food selection is limited and rather expensive though you'll probably not be going to a Walgreens for that.Prescriptions are fairly slow unless you're looking for the basics.The store in general is well stocked with a surprisingly large candy section.

I like Walgreens in general; however, the Lakewood store is filthy inside and out...especially outside. More than any retail establishment in Lakewood, the parking lot is covered in litter. The trash can looks as though someone vomited on it. Totally disgusting. Went to get a flu shot but turned away seeing the unsanitary conditions.Shape it up and I’ll start shopping there again. Thanks.

I like coming to this Walgreens but so was quite disappointed when I checked my receipt and was charge a bag fee when I didn’t use a bag. That was very careless for the clerk to do that. I literally had one item.
