We have tried this locations grooming center 3x and will not be going back to this location. Had a good experience the first time. Second time our dog was kept well past the 4 hour mark and when we called to check on her, they hadn't started yet. Once we brought our golden home you could tell the cut had been rushed and our golden had been cut to short.The most recent time was the worst, the groomer who I will not name was not friendly. No smile or friendly chat. Although timely, the cut did not look like it was done by a professional. Specifically her paws looked very bad, uneven and some parts shaved too far down while other parts were not cut at all.My sister goes to the location off of union near target and has always had a great experience. Will be trying that location out.

Best place to bring your babies. I trust them 100% to both handle my poodles and deal with me popping in and out of their salon even when they’re busy. I’m admittedly quite chatty. Don’t forget to tip your groomer!

Had to go through the whole ordeal of booking the appointment at 1700 for my bull terrier for a Bath and Brush and have to wait till 1900 to pick her up! Will definitely think twice before taking her here again!

I think her name was Becca! She was really kind and kept asking if I needed help I said yes she showed me where I can get a few items since I was on a budget. She answered a few questions I had. I have anxiety and just having someone that asks if I needed help is Awesome!

The store is great! This is about the grooming! DO NOT take your pets here! My poor dog came out, shaking and whimpering the other day. When the groomer, Ashley, walked my dog out of behind the counter I could tell doming was not right. When I ask her if everything was fine. Ashley said rudely why wouldn’t it be? I replied because my dog doesn’t whimper and act this way. The way home I had a huge gut feeling to check him over. he’s nail was split in half. This is not the first time I had to deal with Ashley. But I can tell you it is my last. Now off to the vet. I will tell everyone never take their pets to the PetSmart groomers at Lakewood.

I signed up for all 3 training classes at PetSmart with Zee for my dog Taco 🌮 after a customer of mine was telling me about how wonderful she was and I am so happy I did she was right! Zee is AMAZING! She is great with the dogs and takes her time with any questions or concerns the pet parents have. She goes above and beyond. We are almost finished with our intermediate class and Taco is doing so good! Honestly I’ve never had a small dog before and at first didn’t realize they could be trained because I’ve never seen one that was lol. Since starting her class I’ve had customers at work tell me how good and well behaved my dogs is, before he wouldn’t listen at all and just do whatever he wanted. I am so grateful for Zee and how much she has helped us. I tell everyone I know with a dog to go and sign up for Zee’s classes.

Had everything I needed. Purchased two tanks and tons of accessories here. Great prices and awesome selection on aquarium needs. Excited to get my tanks up and running to eventually get some fish in em. Highly recommend. :) Even just coming in to look is a lot of fun.

Kirby has been attending classes at PetSmart in Lakewood with Zee and recently graduated from the Advanced class (we took the Intermediate one with Zee as well). I can't type enough praise I have for her. She's such a talented pet trainer and is really in tune with every animal's body language and cues and will teach you to be just as in tune with your pet. She splits her time between every pet in the class perfectly, spending time on those who need extra help and giving extra work to those who's pets have got it down and can handle the extra challenge. We've been able to build on what we've learned in class at home and Kirby can now even turn off light switches and close doors on command! My only regret is not moving to Washington sooner so he could've had class with Zee for his puppy/beginner course.We just took in another dog (Sal) and immediately signed him up for Zee's next available beginner class to work on some behavioral concerns. Although we are in a group class, Zee had personalized homework for us to work on for his specific needs. Just from the first class, we've seen such an improvement in his confidence and obedience at home. The value of these group classes (I think $140 for 6 weeks of 1 hour classes) is unbeatable with such a great trainer.

Visited this location with a dog who totally enjoyed the experience. I've been to many petsmarts and this one was pretty decent from a shopping perspective. Good selection of toys and healthy treats. The staff was mostly friendly but hard to find when I was looking for something specific. We found what we were looking for though, and more!

My fiancé and I have taken our pet here a couple times to get groomed and we never really had any problems, but this last experience will be our last. We always try to book our grooming appointment with the express service so that one person is working with our pet the entire time and they give more attention and care while grooming, I love this because our pet is a rescue and she can be very scared at times. This last appointment we couldn’t do express because they were booked full which was fine but the lack of attention to detail I feel is upsetting. I don’t know if Madison is new to grooming pets but how choppy this cut is just leaves me really upset.

My son and I were in the area to see a movie and were super early. We drove by this place and decided to go check out the animals. The associates were all super friendly and attentive. My son and I had a great time peeking in on all of the little critters in the store. It was clean and well kept and didnt smell atrocious like some pet stores can smell lol. All in all a great experience and we will be back for a fish or hamster someday really soon!

The man with the beard is the coolest PetSmart employee I've ever met in the Lakewood store. He should run for president! Gina is super nice. The new manager, Ms. Piggy, is walking on the edge. Racism is rampant in Pierce county. If you are of color your pet is not exempt from this hatred.

The groomers are rude and do not care if you have an appointment. They do not check you in by the order of arrival but however they choose. They left everyone waiting for over 15 minutes as they closed for lunch before 11:30am then proceeded to help all others before even acknowledging me. The manager Mark was just as unhelpful. Never again will I go there. I would give zero stars if I could. What an awful experience

If you want to leave your dog in good hands, please choose elsewhere. They will keep your dog for 5+ hours with no update of what they are doing. It is honestly scary and sick how much they lack communication and respect for the owners. It’s hard enough to leave and trust your dog with random people. I will not be returning or giving any business to PetSmart moving forward and you shouldn’t either. Some of the employees in the groomer are very rude and lack social skills so they should not be around animals, either. If I could give 0 stars I’d be the first to do so!

We've been taking our Corgis (Kraken & Pepper) here for grooming for years. They both love all the staff that work there. The staff are very nice and very skilled. The boys leave every time looking great!

My golden retriever / Chow mix is now over 15 years old he's got lumps and bumps but still has his puppy face. He can melt your heart and he obviously melted Naomi's she calls him her sweet old man.

Never have I had any issues with PetSmart. Everyone has always been friendly and helpful.I have been using them for many many years for my families managerie of animals. They were there when it came time to needing travel homes for our zoo when we moved from Texas to Washington.The groomers have all been a pleasure to work with. My dog has always been happy to see them. They do such a great job with him.

I’ve been preparing my pet for a long flight to Guam, and it has been stressful for me trying to figure out what crate and essentials i will need for the flight. Very rude staff! I wouldn’t let them do anything to my pet or anyone else’s for that matter! They don’t send reminder texts they give out false info pertaining to your pet! The groomers are nasty, lazy and unprofessional! Stay away by all means necessary
