I went into this store yesterday around 1:00 pm to grab some cleaning items for work. There was only one register open and the line was to the back of the store. I was in line for almost 25 minutes with no one else offering to get on the register to help. I paid with my company card and requested a receipt. I was told it was in the bag. I get to the office and it was in fact not in the bag. I attempted to call the store back multiple times and got no answer. i tried again today to see if I could get the receipt reprinted. the person who answered the phone was very rude and had me "on hold" while she was asking the store manager who in fact they were gossiping about how its not their responsibility to get me a receipt for my expense report. The manager then gets on the phone and said she can only look it up if I can give her the card info, register number, cashier name and exact time I was rang up. I was able to give her everything but the cashiers name because she was not wearing a name tag and told her that it was sometime around 1:15 but could not give an exact time as I was in line for 25 minutes. I was then told that she would not help me and hung up on. The whole staff here needs to be fired and they need to start over.

This dollar tree, is horrible! There is only one cashier working, the first time we went there the line went all the way down one of the isles! The cashier looked bad I seriously thought it was a homeless person that went behind the register to ring people up. The cashier was going super slow and seemed like they were looking at each item they scanned as if it would have a different price on it. There was a second employee a woman who yelled at everyone that she needed a break! That woman went outside and started smoking! She was angry and talking to herself.. the line was wrapped around the isle! She was very rude and very dirty looking as well. This second visit was yesterday. This store is always full of creepy people who stare at you and just look like they are doing something bad.. again one cashier and a huge line so we left and won’t be going back there…

I have shopped here a couple of times before and enjoyed it, but not today. When I was ready to check out, I went to the cash registers, and no one was there. I asked the woman working nearby if someone was available to check me out and she snapped "I'll be there if you wait. We have things to do. We can't just stand around and wait for you." I get that, but I asked her politely and she responded very rudely in turn. She then proceeded to talk bad about me to another employee while i was still around since i was putting back all my stuff before I left. I've worked customer service jobs before and tend to give people grace, but she was so rude in response to my politeness that I just don't want to shop at this particular store anymore.

Usually love this store! The main manager is amazing. Unfortunately, they have been understaffed. Also learned that they only exchange - you’re not allowed to return so be mindful of what you purchase! I have never tried to return items before but they were out of stock on some items. I’m a caregiver and my client asked me to return some items and I was unable to do so.

Very understaffed, the store has been cleaned up a lot since I was in last. They stopped carrying yarn which really sucks since that's the main thing I bought. They have a few really beat up skeins left buried under tons of fake flowers. The employees are very nice though

I have never had to give a bad review on any merchant, however, I had a terrible experience at this store. The cashier the register was very disrespectful and rude. I was having trouble with my card because of the chip and asked if she could suspend the transaction so I can switch funds to another card. Her response “ Are you serious? Do you see the line I got?” She then proceeded to GOSSIP with another customer about me in front of me and my daughter. I am not sure what her name was, but from the reviews this is normal. If you are going to this store pay with cash, the cashiers are rude and impatient.

Usually this dollar tree has been picked over and not much is left to be found. I did manage to find quite a bit of things. So all in all it was a good trip. As for the store there is no rime nor reason as to where your going to find things. So be prepared to go on a scavenger hunt. I found a lot of the shelves to be in disarray. The employees were pleasant.8-15-2022 .

The Lakewood Dollar Tree cashiers ( only 2 of them ) were so nice. There were 2 long lines, but, they handled it with great attitudes. I could hear one customer say, hey, can you call for more help? The cashier simply said, there were just the 2 of them, and said....but, thank you for your patience. My cashier was very thorough, and he had a wonderful attitude. 🎩's off to both of them.....they definitely were working their magic!

The store is generally really clean. There is a few times when it’s obvious someone is shoplifting. The staff is pretty good at confronting other people who have previously shoplifted. I watch them refuse letting someone enter. It’s nice though. A pretty good dollar tree and really big so there’s a lot of stuff that you can buy for a dollar.

If you where a past employee trying to gain access to W-2. The store manger will lie and say she can’t provide that information. Call corporate and other surrounding Dollar trees to ensure the information she gives is true. She was lying to me because they didn’t like the way I left.

I would give a zero if possible. I came to get a couple things and it was crowded. I expected that, so I didn’t mind waiting in the long line. The lines stretched nearly to the back of the isles. Luckily my children were cooperating for the most part. When there was finally only two people in front of me, the cashier Jasiana tells the person directly before me that she would be the last person she’d help because it was her break time. I was told another line had opened up so she could close down. However, this line had already significantly grown as well and myself and the other customers behind me were told we’d have to go find another line to get back into. I was in such disbelief. Any other store I have ever been to, customers are wanted ahead of time and the next person in line is moved to the new register to handle it appropriately. Instead, I was made to go to the back of yet another long line. And to be told it was because she wasn’t going to get written up for a violation just a poor excuse. It should have been handled in a much better way. Customers should not have to pay for the result of employees not managing their breaks correctly. She was completely rude and had a terrible attitude towards the customers she was “helping”. Won’t return to this location.

To the young gentleman cashier. You engaged with all the other customers when ringing them up. When it was time to ring up the items I was purchasing you did not acknowledge me. Not even letting me know the total of my purchase. I pushed yes on the key pad for a reciept just to see if you’d acknowledge me and you didn’t. Out of respect for you, I looked at you and said thank you so much I hope you have a wonderful night, politely. You didn’t acknowledge what I said however started talking to the gal next in line. I walked out in disbelief of how disrespectful you were to someone who you showed you compassion and respect..

The lady shoved extra items in my bag and charged me without me noticing. If I weren't in a hurry I would had checked. Please train your employee the work ethic. Not to allow them to be lazy from needing to re-shelf items.

Compared to other establishments of it's kind, you'll find little different. The shelves are stocked with the same types off stuff. Can't judge it by it's product, since the people who shop here know what they are getting. The staff here, however, are very nice and friendly.

I sent my husband to buy Easter baskets because we didn’t have any to collect eggs with. The cashier said she couldn’t sale them because they weren’t ringing up correctly. She then proceeded to take them behind the register and step on them so they could be completely destroyed. We never really go to the dollar store and it’s because dollar store hires the bare minimum for management and associates. For someone who also works in retail management I’m really not satisfied with how the situation was handled.

This place never has enough employees to help customers. There hasn't been 1 time that I have gone here and there is more than 1 cashier no matter how many people in line. There have been lines halfway down aisles and still just 1 person. And it never seems to fail that if they bring out another cashier there is no method. People from the end of the line can now be 1st, they do not take the next person in line. This place just sucks.

It’s very concerning to hear that 3 young boys were racially profiled at your store.Furthermore, when the mother brought this treatment to the attention of the store management she was told by the manager “I don't have time for this”. This is unacceptable, this must be addressed and corrected, and until it is I will not be patronizing this dollar tree. I suggest you don’t either. Lakewood is a loving and inclusive community that has no space For racial discrimination and profiling.

Not one of my more favorable places to shop. I realize everything is just a dollar and you get what you pay for but the quality is pretty bad in my opinion.I've never really found anything great going in there to shop myself.But I have a friend that swears by them practically and shops there on a regular basis. So I guess it just depends on what you're looking for. Check them out for yourself and make your own decision on them.

The cashier was very rude. He said a cuss word in German when me and my pregnant daughter got up to the register. Well I know German. I love the dollar store, but with that kind of service, I will not be going back to that one.

It was very nice. I liked how the cashier greet everyone that comes in "Welcome to Dollar Tree". I found an item in the store that I have been looking for all over Tacoma. The "Farmer John" pork link sausages. Thanks.

This store is always a mess. They need to hire more staff or hire someone that knows how to stock shelfs. I understand there are people that grab something and then decide later they dont want it and just put it back in a random spot but that is not the problem. The good thing is everything there is cheap. Pay attention to expiration dates on the snacks, candy, and food. I have bought snacks for my kids here and realized it's a couple months past the expiration date

I am a visiting person and your clerk made a comment about cash back availability. 1. Did not know you had cash back. 2. Said it should only be after 10 am. 3. No sign stating above. 4.will not return!

Don't expect the manager here to be very helpful(at least I'm assuming she was the manager) . She Decided that going outside to spend time with family was more important then helping the line of customers that went all the way to the back of the store. The only reason I give it one star is because of the sweet lady at the register.

I am in a wheelchair and went shopping with my caregiver. After spending an hour browsing and shopping we checked out. Between the two of us we spent $30. The shuttle came for us and the driver loaded me while my caregiver checked out. As she tried to leave their plain clothes security put his hands on her and accused her of stealing a $1.00 pair of socks. She explained that she was helping her client in a wheelchair and she was working and absolutely didn't steal any socks. The guy told her that I was probably her accomplice and wasn't even needing to be in a wheelchair. After checking her purse we were on our way, offended, disrespected and totally irate. DON'T SHOP AT THAT STORE!!! Find another dollar tree. Unbelievable!
