My mother left her wallet at the register with $100 inside of it. The cashier put the wallet inside of the safe. When my mother went to pick up the wallet the next day there was a slip for her to pick up $25 in her wallet and they didn't even inform her it was in there. When she spoke with the manager about the missing money she asked to see the cameras because it had only been in their employees hands and the manager said she would not watch the video footage because the cashier " is reliable and would never steal money". Don't shop here, they are thieves. Hope you sleep well at night after stealing money from a disabled elderly woman on a fixed income, shame on you.

The grocery part of this store is pretty darn good. Great produce, good deli selection. Look for the deals and they can be had. For everyday shopping I don't go here because the prices are high. The staff are usually pretty good. There is even a free fruit bin for kids to have a healthy snack while you shop. The bananas they had were still green so that was a bit disappointing but the gesture was nice. We found one mostly yellow banana and a Cutie. Thanks Freddy. Their cheese and wine selection is fantastic.

Always nice and clean with friendly, helpful employees. Beautiful produce with a nice selection. Good meat department. I was shocked to see the restrooms locked, requiring a code. Unfortunately I was told that they have had too many overdoses in the restrooms. I don't hold this against them, it seems to be happening everywhere.

Excellent store with broad selection. The staff are extremely pleasant. I bring my adult deaf/autistic son there to shop because the staff are extremely helpful and pleasant to him. When they see me signing to him almost all checkers immediately switch to polite signals directly to him instead of expecting me to interpret. Most even know how to sign “thank you” at the end. My son always has such a big smile after shopping there.

I shop a lot at once and bulk of same things. I had put all items nicely organized into 4 boxes stacked up in the cart. Ruben who claimed to be a store front manager tells me I have to pull every single item from the box and put them on to the belt. So I took a box and dumped it on to the belt, because I knew the clerk was not going to put back into the box as nicely organized, and I was going to waste more time putting everything out and pulling it back. Then Ruben tells me I cant be throwing items onto belt and tells me he will kick me out.It is so much easier to count in the box and I shopped it like that for at least 3 years in the same fred meyer location. Your employees can check with other clerks who have dealt with me throughout past 3 years. I refuse to go back to this location until Ruben is not working here anymore.

Great big selection, very attentive staff. They saw me looking at stock in a locked cabinet, and opened it for me before I asked. The cashier was really good at packing the bags to protect the fragiles. I don't have this chain near home, I'll remember Fred Meyers when on road trips.

Can't even use the bathroom here. Rude staff. High prices. Security and police in store. So nice to feel like a criminal while shopping. Or be worried of what they are there to stop. Seriously a terrible store. You get harased walking in by homeless.

The self checkout worker at 9pm last night argued with me that my milk was leaky. She insisted it wasn't when I saw the milk on the outside of the container & would not watch my items while I exchanged it. Fast forward to this morning, that milk definitely leaked all over my fridge & has destroyed a lot of my refrigerated food. The way she handled it was disrespectful & she was wrong. Now I gotta deep clean my whole fridge for $3 mistake.

Used to love shopping here but now you can never find anyone to give you the code to the bathroom. I’m pregnant and asked a worker for the code and they disappeared. I get the need to stop people from using drugs in the bathroom but there needs to be a better solution. The carts all are broken down and lines are long too. Avoid.

Worst fred meyer I have ever shopped , to include South Atlanta, Georgia . Took forever to shop, because the prices on the shelves, ads and items are WRONG.! Had to have nearly everything corrected. Self check cashiers won't honor, or go with you to verify the marked/ true prices. Thanks Lola. Digital deals are from last week,, so they scan full price, sign clearly still on item ..Pringles family sized chips prices were bait and switch, complete display had one size, mis-marked,, they blamed "corporate" for wrong info..price is for small sized on a different aisle altogether, wouldn't honor the marked price, thanks Sean, they put the sign on wrong tub display. Produce is not ripe , even the expensive , cut, ready to eat, is hard, un-ripe. Bathrooms need a code ?!??!?, "Cust service" center is outside of the shopping area, unmanned. Even the kroger crackers are marked 1.99, scan 1.99, but advertised at 1.89 .(Inflated by over 60cents from last year) .dime you to death...Deli pulled chicken .., same/ like items , pkgs were varied in prices from 8.99lb to 14.99 lb.identical description, identical appearance. Identical price, They just look at you like a deer in the headlights..no solution offered. Just had to walk away without. Grandma Sycamore bread,,hard to find, then, NO PRICE, ANYWHERE, it was on sale.. I could go on and on,,but i knew I would never come back and wanted to let Google Maps users know the whole deal ..check every ad and item price carefully,re-check your receipt .P.S. VIVIAN in the cheese dept was Great. Knew her cheese , and provided GREAT SERVICE.. THE ONLY GOOD part of my shopping experience .. take a couple extra minutes ..go to Tumwater store ..my usual store. You will see a huge difference ..AND , OPEN RESTROOMS, NO CODE REQUIRED. ,I still had to stop at Tumwater store to get some items Lacey was out of, or forgot to re-order ..SHAMEFUL .! Mgr should be fired. If there even IS ONE .!? WOW ! SPANAWAY is even better. (Less bad) Is this the NEW NORMAL ? Are we supposed to just "GET USED TO IT ". Less than 1 star.

I've always enjoyed Fred Meyer but taking out cashiers and replacing them with multiple self checkout lanes is bad enough but using them while being scowled at by some huge mean looking security guard makes me feel like I'm in some dystopian nightmare. We will be at Winco from now on.

Grocery pick up has really gone down the drain and it's a bummer. Walmarts customer service for this department far exceeds Fred Meyers (in Lacey). Thats a new low when you've sunk below Walmart. That department isn't very well ran. I do pick up orders every 1-2 weeks for the past 4 years from there and every single order has been messed up. Often things I'm charged for are missing, they will ignore deals causing your cost to rise, I once had a staff member pressure me to help him load the groceries (I do pick up for a reason), and often don't bother with really obvious substitutes that they could do.I imagine this is a hard working department who tries their best, I think it has more to do with how it's being ran and how the workers are treated. Typically a happy worker does their job well. There isn't much of an excuse for this and I do put the blame on those who run these operations.I keep going back because it's the best option available for me, but wow, as soon as there is another I'm out!!!

For three years our Lacey store pickup order every ten days had had just one minor problem involving one item over all that time. But, in the past two months we've been charged $211.80 for salmon we didn't get, $40-some dollars for beer we didn't get, and now $20-some dollars for coffee we didn't get plus were charged for two family size bags of chips but we only got two little bags. The store fixed the first two problems; they're about to hear about the new one. Why is this suddenly happening, and who else is getting charged for items not received? Better check your receipts.Update: During the two most recent pickups, in December 2023 and January 2024, I ordered two cases of beer, got one each time, was charged for two each time. Same exact mistake two orders in a row. The store manager said we are one of just a few having problems. He said his metrics are up. He suggested our large orders are to blame — 80 items, usually. He said we should order more frequently, I guess so his pickers won’t be stressed by having to pick two items in the same aisle. We spent $9,700 at his location in 2023. I will definitely sharply reduce his burden in 2024 — you don’t blame customers who are doing the right thing for your problems. The problem is the management.

Good location. Near I-5 freeway off & on ramps. Good selection from food to housewares to clothing to seasonal; at reasonable prices. I switched to Fred Meyers for the daily baked sourdough bread. FM has a self-service bread slicer at the Lacey store. On site free parking and a Fred Meyer gas station. One stop shop. Worth the visit.

One usable ladies toilet in the whole build ? This is insane ! 4 stalls - 1 has no walls or door. 1 has no door, 1 is out of service ! Come on Fred Meyer. Remember who does most of the family's shopping !

I keep shopping here even though I get frustrated. The shelves are too high. It's hard to find help if you can't reach things. They move items, and then you don't know if they are out of stock or somewhere else.I included a picture of the olives I wanted. I stood on my tippy toes and held the camera up just to see if the olives I wanted were in the back, and they were. I went to house wares and got tongs to reach them and failed. Never saw an employee to ask for help until I got to the register. By then, I didn't care.

They rearranged the U-Scan’s and it’s such a better layout! Sadly yes theft has caused them to have installed gates at entrance but this store is always clean and has great pricing. Also don’t forget to use the Fred Myer app for extra discounts like coupons to use on your purchase.

Just dont go. Associates are on their personal phone on a call, bathrooms have pinpads after remodeling but there's no toilet paper in half the stalls, and the other half instead of having a door have translucent showers curtains ridiculous.

It seems like this particular location has suffered more from the pandemic than other locations. I much prefer going to Tumwater. Pre-pandemic there were always lots of checkers, employees were helpful, it was a much more civilized atmosphere. Now it's tense, you can never be sure of finding things, I've seen rotten produce, and the wait for a cashier check out can sometimes be as long as 30 minutes. When they redesigned the store it really messed things up. The organization isn't logical. The aisles are narrow and then they make it worse by putting cardboard displays out. For somebody who isn't tall, a lot of things aren't accessible, the shelves are very high. I still go, mostly because of the pharmacy. There are long waits, but the pharmacy staff is friendly and over and over they have gone out of their way to find the best prices for me. Since my insurance is **** I appreciate that a lot. Over the years I've saved a tremendous amount of money by using their pharmacy. And with gas almost $5 per gallon, the gas rewards are important and FM is more generous with the points than Safeway. I wish I was closer to the Tumwater location though. Lacey has really suffered badly.
