Great small-town grocery store and market! If you need a nice wine or smooth coffee, their selections are decent. They have a market if you need a hot snack. It has a pretty good selection of groceries and other household needs if you're staying in or around La Conner for an extended stay.

Basically the only grocery store in La Conner. They already have everything you need, including basic construction tools, vehicle maintain stuff, stationary and of course, food. Every Friday noon during summer, you would have outdoor grill burgers and hot dogs. The price is pretty good with the meal, a can of soda and a small bag of chips. The staff are friendly. If you want to have someone cheap and convenient bite or anything you need on your trip, this is a good stop.

Both of the cashiers are incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. Poor costumer service and attention to the customer as we are paying. Although it is understandable that you try to train your staff, it is unacceptable that the staff speak to the customer in a disrespectful manner.

I was in the line the other day behind a gentleman and the cashier female older short red hair was begging him to donate to the house fire fund for her parents... VERY UNPROFESSIONAL..the flyer is there. if we choose to donate that should be our choice... NOT BEGGED or pressured to donate or made to wait long times in line while she talks and begs people for donations...NOT OK!!update: went in to give the store another shot.. was not pleased.. the lady I spoke about before I learned her name is cornelia.. still very rude to people I saw waiting in line.. her tone needs adjusting.. she's very condescending and it's nor nice.. especially if you are providing customer service .. and this short haired chick .. I kept my cool.. but she really needs to learn boundaries. touching or hugging my boyfriend/husband is not acceptable.. it made him very uncomfortable and I dont see us trying this store again.. 2 strikes and you're out.. think we'll go to anacortes from now on.. a little further... but better service... good luck in the future pioneer....

I give them 4.5 stars. For a small independent grocery, it has an impressive selection and usually what I need. The prices are higher of course, they can't compete with the big boys. But I'm saving $5-6 on gas and and 40 minutes of driving, so I'm usually money ahead and love the convenience.

Main store in LaConner. Friendly family type business atmosphere. More expensive than going to a large chain grocery store but very convenient.

We had a three night stay in La Connor, and this market had everything we wanted. The customer service is excellent. The selection is what you would expect for a small town grocer.

The items in the market ar every unorganized and it took us a while to find what we wanted. The owner of the shop suspiciously check on us twice when we were in the back side checking the frozen section for vegetarian stuff. I will never step in here and would go to Safeway or The Market in Anacortes if your aren’t a local white fellow and dont have extra “white” shades in your skin tone.

I purchased a bottle of Gorrilla Super glue for $7.99 and it was dried up. I attempted to return and the clerk said I needed my receipt which I did not have. She was ok with me exchanging it but all of the remaining 8 bottles were dried up, so I exchanged for another product. Under the circumstances I thought she would approve a refund but nope!

Gal at the front was very rude. If I had someone running my store like that she'd be finding a new job.

Pioneer had everything I needed for my dinner. They almost always do (unless I'm doing a gourmet dinner). It is easy to shop because it is small, but the prices can seem a little high to some. It is a small boutique grocers so the prices are actually what I expect them to be. Decent staples selection, meats and cheeses are satisfactory, and a large beverage selection (for kids and adults) as well as a large and tasty dessert selection. All in all, this is the best small town store I've ever been to.

Small town grocery store that lacks anything special. Meat dept is exceptionally high! Not much in customer services such as money orders, etc. Even though they're expensive, they're necessary for the community.

I had an issue with scratch tickets I was turning in and The Manager of pioneer market Bob, was very friendly, understanding and resolved the issue without hesitation and hands down the quickest I had ever seen in my life. I thought to myself, if there were more mangers like Bob then there would be a lot more business excelling in this country, especially during these ridiculous covid times we are having to experience.

This place has everything a boater or RVer could ask for. Food, sundries, household tools, and even water toys. Small, but good selection of meat and fresh produce. Nice deli selection. Prices are comparable to larger stores.

If you HAVE to have something it's nice to have the option to go there. It would never be my full time grocery store.

This is our only grocery store in La Conner, so it is very busy and socially active among the locals. I think the aisles are a bit small, fits one person with a cart, if youcan get a cart and you do pay 10 cents for your bag, so bring your own. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is very convenient!

Pioneer Market is it amazing grocery store that carry some things that I cannot find in regular grocery stores. I had been to three or four Fred Meyers up and down I-5 and what I needed I found in my own Hometown grocery store. Great little market and it suits on my needs and it's where I shop.

Great place, friendly staff. Only place around that sells Lochmead brand Ice Cream, plus the deli offers Skippers as an option as well as tasty deli food selections. Fresh french bread and produce items as well as a huge variety of random items you wind up needing at some point. Great place to have around

Looks small on the outside and you go in they have reasonably priced food of what you would find at any grocery store. However we got a sandwich from the deli and it was delicious just from a package. Plus employees are sweet as well so it's another bonus. If you're in the area definitely stop in for snacks.

Unfortunately, my recent experience at Pioneer Market was underwhelming. The store had a limited selection and higher prices, making it less than ideal for my shopping needs.

Great small town grocery. Many organic items, good micro brew selection. Many local products as well. I find I can get most of what I need here. I like that, then I don't have to go into the city. If I could change anything, I'd like a little bigger meat selection. But otherwise great folks here. So thankful to have it in town.

Cute market with all of the essentials. Prices a bit high for some products, but reasonable considering how far out it is. Deli and pre-made food is good if looking for a picnic supply store. We bought fruits and veg from stands off the road but stocked up here for everything else.

Great little small-town grocery & hardware store. All the basics & essentials, plus more. Good produce, nice Deli, & many other amenities. We enjoy shopping here while staying in the area.

The staff seem eager to know more about customers than said customers may be privy to share, but I encourage supporting small business and they have a great selection.
