My grandmother takes her dogs here every month and they look great after. The price seems to be reasonable and the staff is friendly and uses shampoo that is great for the dogs sensitive skin. Top-dog is always busy.

The new owner is fabulous! We brought in two winter-matted poodles and a Yorkie puppy and Katie was wonderful with them all. One of our poodles is hard to shave, because he has skin tags all over his body. Not one cut this time!! Incredible. Our Yorkie pup had a "getting to know the groomer" appointment, where he was bathed, brushed, and had some toenail trimming. None of them were traumatized like they have been in the past. Her prices were reasonable, especially for the condition I brought them in. I'm going back this week to see if we can get a haircut on the Yorkie. Love Katie, love this place. ♥ If you're in La Center, don't be afraid to try it again. So much better than before!

Very rude and lacked customer service. Got Covid and was sent to the Hospital for 5 days. During a very scary time, I had to miss my appointment, and they made me pay in full while getting no service. They showed no compassion. They didn't care, I would never do that as a business owner. I still gave them another chance however they still act the same way. I hope they change in the future but we won't be back. I want to support people who are kind and do a good job.

When I had initially moved to the area I called several places closer to home, and either didn't get a call back, or eventually got a call back (as in almost a week later) by a flustered employee (well after I had already found this place one town over).Top-Dog Grooming called back promptly and were so sweet providing appt days and times available. My dog gets matted easily, she left her appt so soft and tangle free, rocking her new hair cut. I know she appreciated her mop being taken down a notch.These guys are professional, kind, reasonable, and great with your fur baby. Even though I live a town over, I take my dog here.

Update: We unfortunately had to switch to a new groomer our dog became very fearful of even going inside and then twice in a row he was cut. The last time was very bad the wound was the size of a half dollar. Our dog seems very happy at the new place and is always happy to go inside.We love Top Dog but most importantly so does our dog! 🐕❤️

Bad experience lasttime we went. The girl complained both dogs tried to bite. These two have been going to groomers for many years,with never a negitive comment.She said we needed to groom more in bettween visits.We wonder why they would try to bite when neither are aggressive in any way,for one. She was pretty insulting on top of it, so we wont return.Too bad ,they were quite good previously.I believe the groomer was the owner.

We have been customers here for over 10 years. Our last two experiences have been less than pleasant, the lady at the front counter is very rude and unprofessional, she makes you feel as if you are an inconvenience to her. We will be finding a new groomer, such a shame to lose someone local.

My dog is gently treated here and they do a great job. He was so matted last time I brought him I was worried, but nope, they got the mat's out and his hair cut without traumatizing him. I would not go anywhere else.

it takes me over a hour to drive to top dog. But it's worth it. Katie has been grooming my pets for some time now. Never been let down. She even cuts my cats hair on special appointments.

I love taking all of pets here, Kattie is awesome. I have a 70lb Boxer, 45lb golden mix, a 9 lb Maltese mix, and a 10 lb cat, they see Kattie twice a month and they always come home looking and feeling wonderful. Kattie is an excellent groomer and my pets love her.

Katie and Mysti are amazing. I truly can't say enough good things about the two of them. Walking into Top Dog you just know that your pet will be cared for and loved. Top Dog is our one and only place to get our pup groomed.

We take our dogs here for nail trims. My older dog hates having anybody near his feet, but they are always really patient and kind with him. I definitely recommend them.

LaCenter Dog Grooming is the only place I will NEVER take my dogs to again. I was told by owner and 30 min late this morning my fault after working all night and falling asleep that they were sorry but they schedule every 30 minutes for every dog appointment and their next appointment was already dropped off. I had two dogs that had appointments so it then should stand to reason I should have been allotted an hour. If this new policy I asked if they could at least take one dog and was again told sorry. Their is no policy posted about dropping your dog 1/2 hour before scheduled appointment or they would be refused. Further I have used this groomer at least twice before and my dogs were scheduled to be picked up three hours later after drop. Something does not collate. I left very angry after having worked all night and having made the attempt after trying to stay a awake just to get up and to get them back down to groomer👎😡

Super sweet staff. Excellent work such a gentle touch. My kids (pups) love it there. Stopped by and they trim nails anytime. Thanks from the kids it's been ruff getting it done in the covid has been hard. God bless them 🙏🙏👍😂🤗

I’m going to give 2 stars today only because my experience yesterday was not what I was expecting. Our appointment was for 9am, I missed it and called to see if they could still do it (I was thinking they wouldn’t) and surprisingly they did! So I let my dog use the bathroom before we left but apparently he wasn’t done. We get there and the woman mentions I’m late, (I already called, so there was no need to point that out, again) my dog gets excited and pees. The woman seemed upset and opened the door, (not sure if she wanted the smell out or what) tells me to pull him away from the other dogs caged because they were getting scared, (ok, so put them by the bath area and put a dog(s) that isn’t) then slightly raises her voice at me and says not on the carpet it’s hard to get out, and just the whole energy from the women there was just not vibing with me. He’s a super high energy Retreiver, so he was pulling the groomer, she looped a different leash on him but it wasn’t even at the top of the neck so she didn’t have control. I had a super hectic morning that day with my children, so this was just the cherry on top. The look on one woman was just a disgusted look. I felt very uncomfortable leaving my dog there. We’ve seen them once before and were so so happy, this place was highly recommended from an fb group. Obviously it’s my fault for missing the appointment but they could’ve said no and reschedule. I think once an awkward/uncomfortable experience such as this one happens, it’s hard to recover from it.

Top Dog Grooming is by far the best groomer I have taken my Australian Labradoodles to for ALAA correct grooming. They don't do the standard teddy bear head for this breed like most trim all doodles the same. They did a fantastic job with my girls. Our girls were super chill after and not wired for a day like they have been in the past after going to other groomers.

Always amazing. My corgis always look like show dogs when I pick them up. Katie is wonderful and she understands the double coat on my pups and makes sure they are trimmed for farm life.
