WOW! What an amazing, unexpected little gem. At the end of a residential street, you turn your back on the little town and step into a private oasis. The grounds are attractive. The plethora of loungers, oversized chairs, and assorted tables provide many comfortable options. The large covered deck event space is great for a party of up to 50. The hosts are attentive and work hard to ensure your experience is a memorable one. The main house is cozy with a fireplace in the main room. Sleeps 6. The 4 mini suites are surprisingly very complete, with an actual kitchen. Clean and magazine photo shoot ready.... for every guest. Two blocks away are eating and grocery options. The Klickitat Museum will open upon request for you. The Klickitat Trail, 31 miles long for hiking and biking, is a great way to explore the surrounding scenic beauty. The Wild & Scenic Klickitat River has Salmon runs up it. Native fishing activities can be viewed from Fisher Bridge. Rafting the higher portion above Klickitat and past the Inn is another great way to play during your stay!Nearby activities: Two blocks away are several eating and grocery options. Huntington's Steak House has had a following for decades. Sage Bakery has lovely cinnamon rolls and more. The Klickitat Museum will open upon request for you. The Klickitat Trail, 31 miles long for hiking and biking, is a great way to explore the surrounding scenic beauty. It has a train caboose next to it as the trail goes through town. The Wild & Scenic Klickitat River has Salmon runs up it. Native American cultural fishing activities can be viewed from Fisher Bridge. Bird hunting is a popular sport in the canyons upriver. Rafting the higher portion above Klickitat and past the Inn is another great way to play during your stay!

i stayed for two night with a large group of 12 poeple. We had the main house and 3 of the 4 suites next door. great parking and pet friendly! private river access with incredible views of the sunset hitting the canyon walls. I couldnt of hoped for a better weekend. There was great wifi, and multiple Grills for BBQ. I cant wait to come back later this summer. You can fish right off the deck. this place could easily handle 20 person parties.Rooms: didnt exempt a 4 star hotel room... really it's a small apartment!Walkability: not allot to do in town but the river is great to float, its alittle fast so be careful, but the gorge is only 15 mins out of the canyon and tons of hikes nearby.Food & drinks: the kitchen and grills were superb

My boyfriend wanted to go fishing during our Thanksgiving holiday and I have to admit I wasn’t all that excited. But, he did his homework and found us this awesome River front cabin/suite. It was perfect, the place was well kept, cozy, clean, comfortable with beautiful outdoor deck seating and gas fire places- so nice to kick back and enjoy the River. Guy, our host is one of a kind! Super hospitable and very knowledgeable about the area. Cute cafe and steakhouse within 2 minute walk. I can’t say enough about the place!

Since my husband’s recent diagnosis of metastatic colon cancer, getting out of the house for a break has been difficult to plan. We booked a one-night stay 24 hours in advance, and Guy provided us with an amazing stay full of memories. This location is beautifully located right on the river. Our host was accommodating to all our requests - including starting a fire for us in the outdoor fireplace - checking frequently to ensure we had all we needed while we were there. Klickitat is a small little town on the Klickitat River and the Klickitat River Inn is a great little hidden gem. It’s a great stepping-off point for all kinds of water, hiking, and biking activities – or no activities at all. What an amazing location; we will definitely come back when we can!

The Klickitat River Inn is awesome. It was the perfect place for us to stay. It’s right on the river, super comfortable and has plenty of amenities. There’s a store and great steakhouse/bar within walking distance. Guy was super responsive and a great host. He helped with anything we needed. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to spend time on this beautiful river.

Ugly town very dirty, overpriced, nothing to do as far as tourism. The guy who ran the place was over the top and very fake, I could tell he hated his life. The deck was nice but that’s the only thing good out of the whole trip. Left with bites of some sort all over my body so I think they may have bed mites. Cleaning lady should probably do a better job! Worst vacation I have ever been on!

Where to start. We stayed in the main house which had all the comforts of home & then some. Although the house was very compfortable we spent most of the time on the patio next to the rock fireplace barbecung & watching the river go by. Making freinds with our host Guy who made sure our every needs were met. I know I'll be back to do a bit of fishing & turkey hunting.Guy is a true artist, you can tell by the way he takes care of the place & puts his decorative touch.Rooms: After walking in the hills looking for turkeys a meal & sleep sounded good. Had to have a little bbq on the patio & a adult beverage or 2, we had Guy join us & found him to be great company.Walkability: couple blocks to the market & a couple more to the bar & steak house. Short drive to hicking trails & some of the most spectacular views you'll ever see.Noteworthy details: The setting was spectacular. My son took me there for my birthday & turkey hunt. Guy was kind enough to give me a nice Klickitat River Inn t-shirt for my birthday. If your lookking for quiet & seclusion or freindly conversation, this is the place for you.

Overall it was a nice stay. Room was clean and comfy, had lots of toiletries that I was not expecting in the bathroom. Beds were comfy and so were the pillows. The young lady that cleans the rooms was super sweet and nice, very helpful when we asked her where a good spot was to go and sit by the water. The back deck was super comfy and lots of seating options to pick from. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars is the room air freshener they had plugged in the wall had such a terrible smell, couldn't figure out where the smell was coming from for a bit. Once we unplugged that and hid it in the back of the cabinet and the smell was gone. Definitely a must stay at again.

My experience staying with the Klickitat River Inn was so wonderful and great from the beginning!! Lindsay and Linda were a pleasure to work with, and provided all the information needed.I stayed in Suite #4 and was very happy with my choice for the one night stay. The suite itself had all the amenities listed on their website, on top of a beautiful view overlooking the river.Once I got settled in, it was nice to be able to go outside and enjoy the tranquility. There are plenty of areas to relax in: on the deck over the river, on the lawn, chairs near each of the patios (first floor). If I had the opportunity, I would've gone swimming in the river, but also did not want to scare any fish for the fisherman close by.The inn was also centrally located in the town: along the river, a block from the general store (with a decent assortment of items), and a few blocks (but nice little walk) from Huntington's Steakhouse (great food!).I definitely plan to visit the Klickitat River Inn again, and hopefully for a long stay renting the main house (got a peak inside and it looks amazing!).Thank you Lindsay and Linda for your hospitality!!

Wow! Exceptional views, vibes and a variety of things to see and do! I have stayed at the Klickitat River Inn for the past few summers and every time I am blown away with how wonderful it is. Not to mention, the constant work being put into it to make it even nicer than the year prior. Definitely recommend to all travelers looking for a serene and tranquil place to stay.

From the moment we stepped foot onto the property we were already talking about when we could schedule another visit here. Located right along the river with lush lawns and an amazing assortment of cozy outdoor seating areas it really did feel like a little slice of paradise. The view and tranquil sounds of the river are magical.Four generations of my family came here to vacation right near where my grandma used to live. Linda even had the idea and took the initiative to reach out to the people living in my Grandma’s old home so she could see it. This meant so much to her!The deck and lawn were situated perfectly for the grandparents to get a great view of the grandkids swimming and jumping off the rocks into the river. We also really enjoyed floating in inner tubes down the river as well as riding in a drift boat. I wish we would have brought our paddle board as I enviously watched others paddle board and kayak in the river. Next time! The river wasn’t clear enough to fish when we were there but people LOVE to fish on this river too.We stayed in the house and one of the apartments and they were both nicely furnished, comfortable, and stocked with all the amenities we could need. Plenty of kitchen items and serving bowls when family and friends joined us for a bbq.We bought some take-and-bake pizza from The Canyon Market just up the street that was affordable and delicious! We visited the Klickitat Historical Museum which was a wonderful walk down memory lane and would also be fun for people new to the area to see the vibrant history of the town.We had so much fun but wished we would have stayed longer. We rode bikes around town but would have liked to ride or walk along the Klickitat Trail too.Already looking forward to next time!

I stayed at the Klickitat River in September, and the experience was much more than I had hoped it would be.The hillsides, valleys, trees, and river views were beautiful, and I loved to sit out on the luxurious, comfortable, and well apportioned covered decking, sip my coffee, and drink all of nature in. I spent hours out there and wished I could’ve spent more.My room at the inn was decorated well, with flourishes you’d expect to find in a much more expensive hotel, but also included thoughtful touches that made you feel at home. I loved that there was a small goodie in the freezer waiting for me. It so made me smile! The Wi-Fi was good as well. The bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I’ve slept in away from home, and I was very impressed.Linda went the extra mile to make sure I felt welcome and we had a lovely group barbecue down on the deck. She was personable, professional, and a great wealth of information about the area. The town of Klickitat itself is quaint, the locals down to earth and friendly, and I enjoyed hiking and exploring all around. The little store has wonderful specials, and everyone will tell you not to miss their fish on Fridays. I did not eat at the town steakhouse during my stay, but have heard good reviews. In short, I was able to really rest and recharge my spirit while on my little vacation there, and the Klickitat River Inn and the people there were the reason. Thank you, Klickitat River Inn!Cory Reilly

This was great for a true birthday weekend getaway. No cell service allows you to relax but there is great internet connection. The main house is large and stocked, just bring your groceries and you are set. The owners left us a sweet gift & note for our birthdays and made us feel special. The backyard is relaxing with the river only steps away. Highly recommend!!!!

What an incredible place! Absolutely love the location and being ON THE WATER! the host was very kind and willing to show what true hospitality is about! Will definitely recommend this place to anyone. Place was clean, and bed was amazing to sleep in. Warm water, and warm heater made for perfect stay during this fall. I’ll definitely be coming back when I’m around again. 10/10! Definitely thought I was at a Hilton.

This is a very clean and comfortable place. It's not a luxury hotel. We are interested in the natural beauty and love the riverside area. Also, Guy was super-helpful.Food & drinks: The food at Huntington's was quite good!Noteworthy details: We brought our dog and while there is a pet fee, it went very well.

Great location and neat setup. The only negatives are that there is no cell phone service in the canyon and the day that I visited, the weather was quite bad. I would love to be here early in October when the weather is perfect, and the fish are thick.

We spent 4 nights at the Inn and enjoyed every minute! The house had everything you might need and then a bit more. The deck, BBQ etc. was delightful and we ate breakfast and dinner outside. It was so peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable to be right on the river. Hiking, fishing, rafting, wineries and other tourists activities are nearby if you want to explore the area.

Absolutely loved our time at this quaint River Inn! We were one of two groups of guests and we enjoyed our time playing corn hole and sitting out with our toes in the sand watching the boys across the river cliff jump. Such a special spot! Linda and Lindsay have something really magical here! Can't recommend enough.

This is a quaint little Inn that sits on the river and is just gorgeous, peaceful and quiet. Fully stocked kitchens, pet friendly. Very clean and friendly place. Great for hiking, biking, fishing, just relaxing. Only 30 min to Goldendale or The Dalles or Hood River if you want more to do. Would highly recommend this place.
