This store location is closing ~9/24/23. All the surrounding retail stores have pretty much closed as well (likely new retail/residential development).Store has ongoing liquidation sale happening. Most food products are only 10% off at the time of this review (9/12/23). Other items range from 10-50% off for the most part. Store is fairly empty already.

The cashier girl seems like she was having a bad day. It was an akward experience as we tried to smile at her since she didn't greet us when we walked up to cashier. We asked about pricing we saw online compared to prices in store, and she seemed upset, gave us the online price, with an attitude. I almost walked out but my pets need their food. I am no longer going here, I get better prices at Walmart and better service at petsmart.

Clean, smells fresh, and the remodel that was done makes the place look great! I esp love the self-service pet wash area. I didn't have a dog to wash, but watching the cute dogs get all sudsy brought a smile to my face đ

I bought a parakeet here who turned out to have respiratory issues. I brought him back within a week after calling and being told what to do. I got there the next day and was treated very rudely by someone named Scott (who shockingly is a manager), who basically accused me of trying to abandon a sick bird at their store because I didn't have my receipt with me. ( I explained I had called and talk to somebody who said it would be no problem to bring it back, and that it would be seen by their vet, and I would be contacted when they knew more, and after he was cleared by the vet.) Scott was going to have me drive all the way back to North Bothell to get my receipt with the bird, until I threatened to leave a detailed review about the horrible customer service he was providing... so he backed down, took the bird in, and said they wouldn't be doing anything with it until I came back there with the receipt. (Which I did within the hour) I let the horrible interaction with Scott go, because I was more concerned about the bird at that point. They had him for over a week, they did not call me EVEN ONCE to tell me how things were going, I had to call several times. Then 3 days ago I call again asking what is going on and they tell me his treatment was already finished... they didn't even call me to tell me he was ready to be picked up. So I go down there yesterday morning, and despite the fact that the snow conditions were better than they had been all week, the store had a sign saying they were closed for the day in the window. They didn't even call me to tell me they would be closed, and didn't mention it the day before when I had spoken to someone. I can't speak for other Petcos but this is absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with this type of thing, and I told them to keep the bird and went and got my cage back this morning. At least I know it is healthy now, and it was only with me for a few days so I'm sure it hadn't bonded to me. I just couldn't bring myself to patronize a business with such absolutely horrible customer service. Now I still don't have a companion bird for my little buddy, and we'll have to keep looking. :(

Tried ordering the dog food that was supposed to be available for either in store pickup or same day delivery. I could not do to following all the directions so I called support who was not able to do it either. I did do one thing and that was to wast a lot of my time.

This location seems to have fallen on hard times. Grooming doesn't seem to be open. The pet clinic is only open for a few hours on Sunday. The adoption center hasn't had animals for a while now. Aisles are routinely packed with pallets waiting to be worked. I'm a little concerned about the in-store animal welfare since there are only three employees in the store who are clearly over stretched.I understand this location will be closing once the new building is built but it might take a couple years.

I called earlier and talked to Chris who was very helpful making sure the product I needed was there. This petco isn't convenient to my house so finding and purchasing this dog food was great

Was excited to check out this Petco. It looks like a clearance center. Bags of food on the floor, dogs toys on the ground, sad employees. It looks like the day after Black Friday. It felt like theyâre going out of business. Wonât be back.

Such great service from pet lovers! The day before I picked up my new kitten, I ran into Aiden (long hair, beanie, glasses?) and he was sooooo helpful in helping me pick out some products for my baby kitty and was again helpful when that same kitten refused to eat some of the food types (which Josh also went above and beyond to help me with the exchange process). Alex was also a huge help as I was signing up for a VetCo appointment and talked me into signing up for Vital Care (not pushy, I was asking a bunch of questions) which actually sounds like a solid dea! Overall just a really amazing crew and while the store appears to be in disarray and sold out of most products, the service was fantastic and will keep me coming back for dependable kitty help! Great job guys :)

The store is stocked well, but could use proper aisle markers to cater better to people who regularly visit with a dog tugging on the leash.Yesterday, I had quite a bad visit to the Kirkland Petco location. Specifically, good customer experience (to the lady beside me) and bad customer experience (mainly for me).The woman at the counter attempted to take my pals rewards phone number thrice, before exclaiming "why! I am not able to hear you". I tried giving her my phone number again and then gave up, cancelled whatever the pals reward program does.Next I had a billing question which the woman pretended to not hear twice and blindly said "no", while staring into blank space. Customers usually come in contact with store workers only during billing. Even that seemed quite incompetent. Maybe then she should've been able to let me go without paying right?On the contrary, there was another woman next at the adjacent counter. Hearing worked spectacularly, looked like.Worst customer service!!!

wish 0 stars was possible.the animals are taken bad care of and workers are pushy and unhelpful.i hate chain pet stores but was really wanting a certain shrimp that they had. so i reluctantly entered the store to buy some. when we get there i go right to the reptiles as i own a crested gecko and he needed a new hide. i notice quickly that they are in tiny cages together with nothing to climb. the only hige is this awful tiny thing PUSHED AGAINST THE GLASS SO YOU CAN SEE THEM! and they all looked super unhealthy. the crickets are in a bucket! almost all of the fish are "under inspection" or dead. the worker kept swearing and asking if we really wanted them a bunch so we left without the shrimp. she didnt even know what they ate and had to google it. then the same worker actually tried to pressure us into buying premieum because her "boss would yell at her!" dont go here the animals are unhealthy and its a bad enviroment. they barely have anything

This is mainly a review of petco online because I donât know where else to leave them a review. Forget about the ârepeat deliveryâ service. After several months of delayed orders, bogus misleading shipping charges, and ignorant customer service, Iâve decided to take my business elsewhere. When I asked about getting a refund on a shipping charge that they did not clarify ahead of time, I was told there âis no optionâ to refund it. And then when I told them to cancel my order they said it is not possible. Excuse me? That is 100% BS. If you had tried a little harder, Petco, you would not be losing my business. Of course when we tried to get it done at the store they throw their hands up and say they canât do anything with online orders.

We regularly get our two dogs groomed at this store. We've had a great experience! The staff have been gentle with our dogs and really helped them feel calmer during the experience (yes, I came in early and observed them with my dogs). Customer help in the store has been great for us as well! One sales assistant carried out the huge carrier I had just bought and helped me try to fit it into my car. When it didn't fit he helped me figure out the biggest size that would fit and returned everything for me. Another time the store manager graciously allowed me to return a dog house I had purchased on-line (I had a very old sales receipt) which was also too small for our dogs! Great customer service in every way!

I encountered 3 different associates at petco in kirkland and they could not have been more helpful. With a new puppy and seeing so many choices for dog food one of the female associates who had a new puppy as well led me to some brands she was confident in. My pup is allergic to chicken and she even pointed out that some bags of food while they may have another source of protein other than chicken may still have chicken by products in them. Finnegan loves his new food!!

The staff here is always willing to help and is free to admit when they don't know something, but they don't just stop at that, they seek out the answer for you. The store is clean and laid out well (even more so after the recent remodel). We were also super happy with the puppy training classes we did with our black lab.

They were very helpful at the adoption center. And they were very polite and kind. I also would like to know do they groom cats as well? Other than that they do have my business. And I'm looking forward to getting a nice little kitty when the gal brings him or her up from the shelter.

I have a problem finding all your products for cats. They seem to be in a less dominant area than dog products and not as consolidated. Also the offerings are much smaller for cats than dogs. Also, the clerk was not very helpful and didn't really want to be bothered to help me at the register. I was the only person at the register, but he didn't want to help me update my profile information. I'd say he was disinterested and lazy.

The store is mostly as expected and the workers provide good customer service.But, I was a little dismayed while waiting in line. I saw a product with a cute bunny graphic on it. I was surprised that Petco would have rabbit supplies so close to the cashier since usually they don't. But I looked closer and it was actually dog treats that had rabbit meat in it đI wish Petco wouldn't sell products with rabbit meat in a pet store. Failing that, they should at least be in the dog section so rabbit owners aren't forced to confront it while buying toys for their rabbit. Just seems needlessly tactless.

They only store in my area that has JustFoodForDogs, which has been a miracle food for my two toy poodles. Highly recommend if your dog has a sensitive stomach and/or food allergy. Of course I strongly recommend you talk to you vet before switching up your pets diet. So happy this store carries this brand! Also their fish department is excellent and well maintained. We recently purchased a beautiful galaxy koi beta along with everything needed for a 5gallon tank. Our new fish buddy is very healthy and happy đ

I've been coming here for two years and really like this Petco. They've got a solid aquatics section with a beautiful plants tank and a large selection of different foods, etc. The refillable Sophresh litter is convenient and low-waste, plus it's substantially cheaper than any other litter option I've found. The staff have always been friendly whenever I stop by.

A wonderful place with a staff that is passionate about what they do, and they truly care about your pet! I adopted a kitten from their adoption center, and the entire experience was such a joy. Everyone I interacted with had so much knowledge and took the time to answer my questions, recommend products and make sure that I had everything I needed for my new little ball of floof. Can't wait to bring her back very soon and stock up on some new toys and treats!
