Hands down my fave grocery store in the area. Always new things to discover, but the main reason I love shopping here is how great all the employees are! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and ready with a smile. Shout-out especially to Mariam and Alejandro this afternoon.

I’ve never had anything to complain about at Met Market, but I also haven’t had anything to praise. However, today Barbra at self checkout and she absolutely made my day. She was sweet and professional as she helped me with a finicky barcode. Best experience I’ve had since moving to Kirkland and I thought I should share!

To everyone complaining about rude staff: they're rude because they're under so much stress from the horrible leadership. You don't know when you go in to work there whether you will suddenly be suspended or fired, because the store director twists words and enforces policies inequitably. He fired someone for being friends with a coworker outside of work (by trying baselessly to claim they were in a romantic relationship), and suspended a single dad for a whole month suspiciously soon after he rejected the advances of a store admin. But allows the same store admin to be in a relationship with someone IN THE CORPORATE OFFICE because she's his favorite. Assumedly in collaboration with him, she created a handwritten list of employee names labeled “To-Watch.” Some of the most unproblematic people were on it, and all of the Black team members at the time were also on it. When it was found, they tried to claim it was for tracking employees’ time accuracy. But no one believes them because if you're trying to correct people's behavior you don't put them on a list that says “To Watch” and then wait 11 months to tell them they're on it.That's the tip of the drama iceberg. The store director is two-faced and loves lying. The union does nothing and HR protects all of his double standards. But there's more than just drama! Multiple workers, including store admins who frequently "help" in Bakery and Prepared Foods, have expired food handler certifications (this is illegal and disgusting). A rat was found in the produce department and two team members had to step on it to kill it. Prep Foods has so few team members compared to the scale of the department that food in storage areas spoils and no one notices. Bakery cakes get dry and stale because no one knows how old they are because no one marks them with a date when they're delivered.Absolutely toxic cesspool. So yeah, no wonder workers here are "rude." They can't wait to get out of there, themselves.

My favorite supermarket in Kirkland. Yes you pay more for everything...but in return you get a more diverse selection of high quality products. The fruits and vegetables are fantastic and the butcher can do nearly any kind of cut with almost any kind of meat. The also have a great selection of local salmon, halibut and crab as well as other fish. My favorite part of the store is the prepared food section. They have soups, sandwiches, and entrees. They also have an impressive salad bar and poke bar and much more. It is a very impressive store.

This is our “home” market and we love it. The good things: they stock quality products, they have a great deli, it’s always clean and the people are friendly. The bad: it is more expensive

Was shopping and a man lobbed racial epithets at me and my wife. I was not having it after having to put up with this constantly recently. I spoke to the store team lead and he said "racism has no place in the store." He resolved the issue nicely, removed the offending party, and we felt safe to get our groceries and go home. They stand for justice.

Great place, awesome people, amazing food (relatively very expensive but super high quality), amazing hot bar, best COOKIE (trust me, ask for it) …. Worth the trip, especially if your making something special or cooking for someone special/ special occasion.Actually, it’s worth it period. Just go and enjoy.

Easily one of my favorite market places overall - i'm glad theres one close by to my work place as I used to live by the Sammamish location and miss going there since my move.MM is definitely an 'upper echelon' type market. fresh fruits, veggies, high quality produce and foods are offered. But one of there best kept secrets is the quality of their bakery and hot foods/deli area. Always phenomenal soups, sandwiches, salad bar and (some locations even have poke, and ethinic eats. The pricing here is indeed higher than your standard neighborhood grocery store but it's all reflected in the quality of the items offered. Everyone that i've encountered there, shoppers and employees alike are all very nice and helpful. The store is always clean and it rarely if ever feels hectic. My only gripe if i had to pick one is the lot is pretty tight and can get hectic on busy days. But that's just a personal problem because i drive a giant truck lol

High-end grocery store that is similar to Whole Foods. Super friendly staff, and high quality foods. A huge cheese section as well as an indoor bakery.Pricey

High-end market with friendly staff and an awesome bakery! I recommend the toffee, the giant cookie (grab a bottle of milk from the grocery store to go with it), and the strawberry croissant. There is a seating area where you can enjoy your spoils

There are many things to love about Metropolitan Market. They have a great variety of quality food products. It is the best place to buy organic milk. They also have great meat and produce. The deli and bakery are where they truly shine. When we go to Metropolitan Market, our main purpose is to have lunch there. If you enjoy eating more than cooking, bring home one of their soups or entrees.

Prime rib 18.99 or 22.00 for the big cut. It is definitely not like nasty bar prime rib but a good steak house quality. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! Save yourself 20-30 bones.I’d also recommend getting double mashed potatoes for the side. The carrots and Brussels are a bit mushy. No photos. I scarfed it all.

This place is absolutely disrespectful. God forbid you ask for none double bagging! If your lucky a rude cashier will aim the scanner for your retina. Then have a temper tantrum by storming off if you feel uncomfortable with her behavior. This overpriced snakepit will gladly take your hard earned money and treat you like garbage while they do it. If I had a temper tantrum every time a Kirkland customer complained about her latte temperature there would be no business. I'm disgusted by this store! I'm embarrassed that they're even in my community. Discrimination is foul and this place is at the top of that list of places that needs to make headlines. We shall see soon enough

I'm mostly reviewing the cafe at this Met which I always grab a caffeinated beverage at before heading down the street to see theatre at the Rep. They always have one staff member working hard but create solid fancy drinks and of course they have their famous THE COOKIE. I don't like sweets but they make those cookies fresh daily and they look so dang delicious displayed in the window that even I have been tempted a time or two 😂.

Visited at the suggestion of a friend as it's advertised as a 24 hour grocery store. Unfortunately, both times I've tried to visit (roughly around 1:00 AM) they've been closed for an "unforeseen staffing incident." I was willing to make the trek out twice but don't think I'll bother again in the near future. Being closed without warning once in a while is fine, obviously, but more than once in such a short time means problems.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE-got some Rainier cherries and the box was less than half full- the box has a high bottom and there were cherries only on the top. I think the presentation is intentionally misleading because at first glance you get the impression that the box is full.PRETTY DISAPPOINTING.I gave a 2 stars review only because the quality of the food in the supermarket seems good.

I eat at Met Market quite often for lunch since they usually have lots of great options at a reasonable price. Today was a serious letdown. I work early and usually eat lunch at 11 am which hasn’t been a problem before as this is usually when they put out their hot food. Today there were no options, the meat counter that has hot meals had absolutely nothing out, the self serve food bar was empty, even the selection of cold pre made sandwiches was extremely limited. When I asked when the hot food would be ready I was told “a half hour or so”. There were multiple other people browsing for lunch options (or the lack there of) as well so I know I’m not the only one. I will think twice before heading here for lunch again.

Great grocery selections, clean and fresh warm foods. Beats many restaurants for a quick lunch bite for cleanliness, food quality, and price.

So cleaned and organized. Love their cheese section. They have the best fresh bake chocolate chip cookies. It’s a good place to go for birthday cake too.

Met Market has become my standard for quality products and groceries. The selection is limited but it has almost everything you need. I was a Whole Food shopper however I have shifted to Met Market for its focus on local and quality goods.

I love your store, but you guys need to keep your deli open for longer and have more prime rib available. It's never available in one of my favorite items! !

Always amazing. The beet salad is delicious. We love their broccoli cheddar soup and seem to not ever get a big enough container. Ahi Poke is fresh and the have quite the selection of products that are organic and fairly priced!

I am a fan of Metropolitan Market, PCCs, & World Markets (most locations) all over Western WA.Yes, they are overtly pretentious, but a business that caters to their customers is a successful one.As an Instacart shopper, by the end of the day, I imagine I'm looking a tad worn & tattered from the often taxing orders endured. Having been introduced to this upscale grocery establishment through the app-based employer, I must say the time of day, location, and working staff can be hit or miss whether I will be helped with a genuine courtesy or with a burning slice of Seattle freeze.I acknowledge I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth or an icicle lodged up the opposite side, but I can say I've bore witness to those who were. And yes, many frequent the uniquely-stocked aisles of these stores.Jake is the manager of the deli department of this location. I visited with an empty stomach, only EBT to spend, and a clean slate of shade from this Kirkland gem. I was informed at the checkout stand they removed the public microwave from the deli dining area for health-related concerns including stains left by various users in the device and even an incident of a vagrant attempting to dry his soiled clothing in one! So I was expecting a negative response from the deli, which was in the process of cleaning up, if the bakery's microwave could be utilized to warm up my lasagna. Jay was the man I spoke to. He immediately made me feel welcome, accommodated my requests with dispatch, was considerate enough to switch the food into a sturdier container, and he even served me the food. I never once felt judged nor even realized the gentleman was management. His kindness and effort to help a lower-income app worker have a hot meal is why he is my hero and why this location is deserving of a 5-star rating. Thank you, Jake!

I don’t frequent Metropolitan market much because I am closer to other options but have always loved coming in for the salad bar, hot foods, & superb customer service! Great neighborhood market to stop in for lunch or dinner & dine in if you wish. The tomato soup is delicious on a chilly night!

I love Metro! They always have what I need and if they don’t they have ordered it for me. The people who work at the Kirkland store are always so friendly and helpful. It’s pricier than most grocery stores but the service makes up for the cost.
