We bring our dog Ozzy in for his visits. He's in to Eastside Veterinary Associates once a month for an allergy shot and we've been able to work with a good cross reference of the front office, techs and vets in our visits. I've love to mention them all by name for the extraordinary service we have but I fear it would be a list of every person we’ve worked with.Scheduling an appointment is fast, smooth and easy when we call, and when we arrive our appointments happen on time. During the visit, we have the full attention of our vet and vet tech when we’re meeting with them. The care and attention Ozzy gets really is great and he’s healthy for it. This may read like a pretty basic thing, but it does stand out from some of places we’ve used in the past.In the cases where Ozzy has needed the attention of a specialist for something we have been given great referrals and the specialist vets we go have spoken highly of Eastside’s team.

I'm a huge fan of Dr. Beckham and the whole team at Eastside Veterinary Associates in Kirkland. My senior dog has been consistently provided with thorough exams and treatments for everything from routine visits to some very complex issues. Their expertise, compassion, and kindness toward my dog and to us are reassuring. Their patience in answering all of my questions and their commitment to providing personalized care truly sets them apart. I am grateful for the exceptional care my dog receives at this clinic, and I highly recommend Dr. Beckham.

The receptionist was really attentive, helpful, thorough and kind. Doctor and technician were just as excellent. They looked at my elderly baby's extensive medical record, which was in another language, and listened to me explain her conditions. They kindly explained to me each item requested to be examined and I was allowed to purchase the medicine prescribed at another place, which was more affordable to me.My baby was feeling better immediately after treatment.Overall really pleased with the care at the Veterinary Association! <3

After going here for 4 or so years, I decided to find another Vet. Overall this place does the bare minimum of what is expected. These are my complaints:1) They rarely explain things in full detail. Such as all the side effects of medication they are prescribing and all pros/cons of things they are going to do and why. Also when they hand you the bill they just want you to sign instead of clearly explaining what each charge is in full detail and give other options.2) They don't communicate preemptive care, but instead wait until things get so bad that a surgery is needed. Instead of saying "hey you should look into A,B, and C to keep your dogs teeth clean", they wait until it gets so bad so they can recommend major dental work that will costs thousands.3) The little things, like when you board your pets (Renton location), they expect an extra payment for an update + photo. Umm I am paying you thousands of dollars you cannot send me a pic so that I can see how they are living/doing? Other places do this for free.I can't help the feeling that they care more about money than taking care of my pet and building a relationship. Maybe I'm naive to expect anything different.

Top notch care. They are Very thorough when they share their findings which I've always appreciated, even if I don't totally understand all the medical knowledge behind it. They've shown me how to give my cats IV fluids and pills unlike other places that simply told me I needed to do that without ever showing me, which caused so much unnecessary pain. They are also very transparent with prices so you're not hit with surprises. The receptionists are always nice, which I also appreciate. It can be very emotional when it comes to dealing with the well-being of our pets (babies), so having staff that are sensitive and kind helps a lot. There's no doubt my cats have lived longer than they otherwise would thanks to the doctors expertise here. I miss Dr. Chartrand, but wish her all the best.

My experiences on 12/1 (meet/greet) and 12/8 (annual):1) Parking - Plenty of on-site and street (Free and legal - BONUS!)2) Reception - Very clean with lots of natural light. The In-floor scale is a really nice touch.3) Exam Room - The bench seat for human companions was comfortable and convenient....so nice to not feel like too much of an afterthought. :)4) Front Desk Staff - Kyle and Audrey are patient, thorough, and thoughtful. They always double-checked the bill, were ready with lab/medication pickups, and scheduled our follow-up right away.5) Veterinary Assistants - Jessie made my dog feel welcome with smiles and snacks, as soon as we walked in the door. Gabriella opened the doors for me, because my dog was passed out snoring on the floor after a sedated exam, and gave me no choice but to carry her to the car.6) Exam Room Team:- Ava always treats my dog with kindness and warmth. She was a big help to Dr. Beckham in the exam room, and graciously addressed all of my questions and concerns after the visit.- Dr. Beckham was up-to-date on the literature about sedation, and provided reasonable suggestions for how I could support my dog's exam day experience. He went the extra mile to make sure all preventive services were completed same day, so that I wouldn't have to subject my dog to additional sedations.7) Leadership:- Sarah is a great mentor to her staff and genuinely advocates for all of the pets and people that enter the hospital.- Dr. Hung was overheard accurately recalling the name of a family's pet that she provided end-of-life care for in 2007. She has probably seen tens of thousands of pets, since then. Listening to, and remembering, important details like these starts at the very top, and is exactly why EVA is such a great practice.Pet ownership is not always easy; often because it is time-consuming and expensive. Peace of mind is also a tremendous privilege, which is why EVA is worth the price. Thanks to everyone at EVA for treating my dog like she was a member of their own family!

Eastside Vet Associates provides such phenomenal care! Dr. Grace Allodi is extremely kind and skilled. Her down-to-earth personality makes you and your pets feel right at home. Her assistant, Ava, is also sweet and caring. You can tell Ava really knows her stuff! My senior cat, Teddy, can be quite a grouch at the vet. Dr. Allodi and Ava approach his anxiety with kindness, patience, and a good sense of humor (which is much appreciated)!I am especially impressed by the front office team at EVA. Audrey, Dayna, and Kyle are truly amazing. They are so welcoming, compassionate, and knowledgeable about vet care. Yesterday, I had an urgent concern with my cat and they were ON IT! They swiftly organized a plan together with Dr. Allodi. Communication between this team is always solid and organized. Everyone genuinely makes you and your pet feel comfortable. I highly recommend this vet team!Attached is a photo of my kitten, Moohi, from his first appointment at EVA!

I recently took my two cats to Eastside Veterinary Associates -Kirkland for their annual checkup and vaccinations. However, my experience with this clinic was far from satisfactory. After the vaccine, one of my cats stopped eating wet food, and drinking water and even lost interest in playing. I contacted the clinic's doctor, who advised me to bring my cat in for an examination. The doctor charged me $150 for testing and injecting fluids into my cat's body but did not provide any clear diagnosis. My cat's condition did not improve and continued to refuse food or water. On the third day, I noticed that the smell of my cat's urine was stronger than usual, and he had soiled himself to the point where I had to clean him. When I was drying him, my hand accidentally hit his urinary tract, and my cat screamed, which was the first time I noticed such a reaction from him. I immediately contacted the doctor, who advised me to bring my cat in for another examination. The doctor charged me another $300, but he could not provide a clear diagnosis or solution to my cat's problem. As my cat's condition continued to worsen, I took him to Animal Hospital, where the doctor identified that he had a urinary tract issue. The doctor administered immediate treatment, which helped my cat's condition improve significantly. Although the clinic eventually identified the problem, I was disappointed with the lack of care and attention my cat received initially. The total cost of my cat's treatment from this clinic was $450, but the care was subpar, and my cat's condition continued to worsen under their watch. I would not recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone, and I suggest that pet owners consider other options before choosing this clinic.

The team here is exceptional, from the front desk to the techs and the DVMs. I have to give a BIG shout out to Dr. Grace Allodi. Her exam of Marty, my beloved senior rescue was phenomenal. She found issues that no one else had pointed out. From a barely visible cyst in his eye, to lumps on his body that I had missed. Thank you Dr. Allodi for taking such amazing and thorough care of Marty.

My puppy’s first and only veterinary I will take him! With being a puppy mom with new challenges they’ve been nothing but helpful with answering all my questions and giving Scout the best care. It’s easy to say that he LOVES going to the vet! 🐾 see how happy he is afterwards!

Very friendly and so gentle with my dog. The vet and techs all had great communication skills and helped me understand some things I hadn't learned about dogs before. They went over all treatment options and cost estimates and let me decide how to proceed without pressuring me. I appreciated that a lot. We will be back for sure!

Highly recommend this vet office! Dr Hung and Dr Chartrand are so knowledgeable and caring, and are very proactive about my 2 dogs health. When one of my dogs has had an issue, they make sure they are seen the same day. The office staff is super friendly and do an exceptional job! During Covid I never have to worry since I can't be with my animals, that they are being well taken care of when they are there, and they always keep me posted every step of the way by phone. Though I know they are a busy office, it never cuts down on the time they spend with me by phone. I am very grateful of the care they provide my animals. You really couldn't do any better for a vet office!

Love this Vet. We've been going here for years. We used to live in Kirkland. We live in Lake Stevens now and we still keep come here for anything. All the doctor and technicians are good and very friendly. My dog always seeing doctor Hung. I love to keep coming here even though it's far from our house. The front office are nice, specially with my son. Even though they are pretty busy they try to talk with my son, give him stickers, and also answer my son questions about all the animals over there. I have so many questions about my dog and the doctors try to answer and explain all my concerns.

This is a great Vet clinic. The staff is very responsive, appointments easy to schedule, including the urgent ones. They always discuss the care plan with you in detail, and are available for any questions/concerns. We are very satisfied with the level of attention and care our fur-baby receives, whenever we take him here.

I was told about Eastside from my boss. She said her vet actually took her dog in her own car to urgent care in every attempt to save her life.I went to Eastside with an senior dog and a dog with a leaky heart valve. They talked me into removing all the teeth of my senior, and I am glad I did. His appetite and mood improved. He is happier and more comfortable. Now all of this happened before the second time COVID hit my family. I am a single mom with a 4 and a 6 year old. If they are sick, I miss work. I ran out of paid time off after 6 months and started seeing deductions in pay. Care Credit canceled my account due to failed autopay.Luckily, the vet had told me they can work out a special payment plan on the side. The officer manager assured me communication is #1. Well, my friend who helps with the bills can not help this month. The office and I have spoken about our communication and I have listened and confessed details about my finances I wish I hadn't.Today, they refused to continue a vaccination series because I didn't have the $40 to pay. It is the first time I've ever been expected to pay for a 2nd shot. I wasn't warned of paying when I spoke to staff about my outstanding debt for the surgery earlier this week (not that I blame them, now that I embrace my own poverty, I understand how inconsequential $40 is to most people in this area). They know I am working GrubHub at night to pay, and can do it increments or as a lump sum. After all, communication is what's important here.Well, I was turned away. My friend called to give them permission to use his credit card at any time. However, at this point, I feel as though someone who simply doesn't fit in at this vet clinic. They are for people who have duel income or make well above $80k a year. I am warning you because people who are well off may recommend them, and their services are great- but if you are just working class, or a single mother or don't have ample income, this isn't the place for you. After today, I have decided I can't afford Healthcare for myself or my animals. My kids are covered by the state. I am just a teacher with two side hustles. I am not worth the respect.

Absolutely love Eastside Vet. Dr Hung is so thorough and detailed. Our puppy had a fracture at 10 weeks, the emergency vet found nothing, but Eastside vet identified the problem and helped us get through it. Dr Hung and all the lovely staff were like our partners in this time. They made sure puppy was as comfortable as possible and that we understood exactly how to take care of him. Dr Hung gave us so much time on the phone with our anxious questions and is always so responsive on email. Highly recommend both Kirkland and Newcastle clinics!

I wish I could give Dr. Hung and her team ten stars. They truly love their furry patients. They have given my dogs miraculous care over the past twenty years. Recently, during the pandemic when emergency vets were understaffed or without room, Dr. Hung phoned all over town for hours to find a hospital that could take my dog, borrowed a portable oxygen tank from another hospital, and traveled from Kirkland to Redmond and back and then from Kirkland again to Tacoma with my Yorkie on her lap. Long after hours, her team went with her, driving her car, handling the oxygen tank and sedatives so that she could keep my dog breathing. She truly takes your furry friends under a loving wing. Routine care at Eastside Vet is always efficient and professional; however, it is the empathy and affection the team shows that sets them on a permanent pedestal for us. The years have shown us that we can place solid faith in both their competence and caring. Dr. Hung has been so intuitive when it comes to diagnoses well in advance of any serious symptoms appearing that we trust her advice and procedures without question. She and Eastside have literally been a blessing in the lives of our dearly loved dogs.

Our pup has been going to Eastside vets since he was a puppy, he is now 10 years old and I wouldn’t take him anywhere else. They are always kind and thorough and transparent. Always recommend them. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our pup. ❤️

After working in vet medicine for 5 years- I was so nervous to find a new vet when the one I worked for retired! I am sooooooo thankful for Dr Judy Hung and her staff! They got my Havanese Lucy in for an emergency dental surgery and helped her through her lymphoma diagnosis. Dr. Hung has several times gone above and beyond for my Havanese Bagheera, my old lady Bailey and my newest baby Ellie! My Siamese cat Lady actually likes going to the vet! Dr. Hung is unbelievably thorough in everything she does for my fur babies! She gives amazing advice and truly cares for all the critters!

Words can’t describe how much I love the staff and veterinarians here. I’ve been taking my dog(who is in congestive heart failure) here for almost 8 years and I think if it wasn’t for them, my dog would probably have passed by now. He got diagnosed at 7 yrs old and he had his 13 th birthday recently. I genuinely think it’s because of their care, kindness and knowledge that has kept him in our lives for this long. We love you all at Eastside veterinary and can’t thank you enough for the love and care you have done for our fur babies!

Very caring staff. Veterinary doctors are very helpful and really care about the pets they are treating. They constantly check in with the owners to make sure all is going well. Deciding to switch from my previous vet to these guys (for both of my animals) was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I must warn you not to seek care for our pet at Eastside Vet Associates-Kirkland.I took my cat to Kirkland to this location as our regular vet clinic was closed that day. Eastside Vet provided shabby and unprofessional care. A nurse took the history intake in parking lot-we never went inside! Discharge was done n the Parking lot.Venepuncture hurt my cat as it was bleeding as I noticed when we got home. No U/A was done even though UTI was suspected. I was charged $ 989.00. There is no justification for charging me like this. She says X-rays were taken but I do not see it and have not been given on demand. Total body X-rays RADIATIONs poses harm to my cat and were not justified. There was no history of trauma. She said my cat has "murmurs" -dangling a burgundy colored Littmann stethoscope. I asked her which of the four valve is transmitting murmurs-she stared at me and and evaded by saying they are all over! Today, my regular vet denies my cat has murmurs. A possible "Dehydration" was suspected. I asked if water was given per orally at least-she said NO! No urine was collected!I do not feel satisfied visiting this location ; on the contrary I am angry as the WA state has no oversight and the WA residents are billed as if we all are Bill Gates. I will not advise any of my friends to visit this location.

My pets are my family, and there is literally no other veterinary practice I would recommend more than Eastside Veterinary Associates! From the front line staff, to the veterinary technicians, to the vets themselves, EVERY SINGLE PERSON in this practice is fantastic. The consistently outstanding quality of care we've received for the past 8 years has helped us through the many challenges of new additions and the loss of beloved companions. They catch problems early, and I'm confident their care has given me more years with my fur kids. They get us in quickly every time, and they are thorough in their care, their follow ups, and their desire to make sure I not only understand what they're doing but why as well. They are not the cheapest vet I've seen, but you 100% get what you pay for, and then some!

We take both our dog, Emma, and cat, Cali here. They are so attentive with them both and knowledgeable. I always get all my questions answered and they always go above and beyond to make sure our two furry girls are taken care of and loved. Dr. Chartrand is also the sweetest with our oldest girl, Cali, and gives her handmade catnip toys when we visit! Highly recommend!

Dr. Hung and her staff truly cares about their pet patients and owners. They take the time to listen and diagnose. Follow up is great. Plus their facility is clean and welcoming. Highly recommended. I know my puppy is in good hands for the rest of her life.
