My grandmother shopped there recently and was treated poorly by a woman named Josephine. She mocked her for being on food stamps, and had a disgusting attitude. What a great way to treat a elderly woman. A man there named Daniel was also awful to her, it’s good to know based on other reviews that I’m not the only one to think so.

Annoyed because I don’t do the self check out and I will leave my full cart particularly when it’s not busy and no one wants to go to the register. You’re welcome for me leaving those groceries in the cart so you can continue to have a job. As far as Safeways ridiculous forcing of self check out…NOT DOING IT! I’m doing someone else’s job and I’m not getting any discount! I Will go to a competitor every time this occurs. If you waste my time when I’m filling the cart, then you can empty it and return all the items! At least it’s job security for your employees. You are welcome.UPDATE: Fred Meyer got my $$$ and their prices were much better and I received customer service checking me out! NO SELF CHECK OUT FORCING!!!! Guess who is going to get more of my business from hence forth!

I don't know why some people in the neighborhood group keep saying they have problems at this Safeway. I've shopped there hundreds of times and have had maybe 2 issues (Comparing to Fred Meyer where I run into issues 70% of the time). Overall, the store is clean and well maintained, staff is mostly nice this year. They also honor their coupons/advertised prices/app prices when there are discrepancies.

Good options but so dirty! Went to use the restroom and both of them were awful! The one I chose not to use had blood on the seat and was so unclean. The one I had to use because my bladder left me no choice was just as dirty except no blood on the seat. This is awful! I cannot believe the store manager or any manager finds this acceptable! Do they not use this bathroom?

Last time I was there, they were short staffed so everyone had to use the self checkout. Over half the people there had large carts but didn't know this until we we're herded to the self checkout. BUT the one person who was working was awesome, polite and very positive for having a lot of crabby customers.

Love this Safeway! The staff are wonderful, products are almost always in stock. The store is very clean and the store manager always makes it a point to welcome everyone.

I love that this Safeway is close to me but man everytime I go here it’s an uncomfortable experience, I’m injured so it’s hard commuting to the Safeway in the Highlands. But, literally there’s no need to stare people of color down everytime we’re in self checkout and you also have other customers. The lady in the self checkout literally stopped what she was doing watched me the entire time to where I made eye contact with her then I walked to guest services because one of the items I purchase was opened so I was going to ask if it’s okay to go grab a replacement and out the corner of my eye I see her all red in the face going the direction I walked then when I made eye contact again she turned around and went back to self checkout. I don’t know if she thought I was stealing which I wasn’t but I’m pretty sure if someone is stealing she’s not security and for the record I am Black and have no reason to have to STEAL and that would have been a huge lawsuit if she did come after me for no reason. So, maybe Safeway should talk to their employees and also stop making minorities feel uncomfortable because we look suspicious. I have on leggings, beanie, and my slippers because I just left the hospital and I was originally here picking up my medicine!

Clean store. Good options. Got all the things you need. Also if you got a sweet tooth. Cannot go wrong with getting the Gig Harbor Candy Company's toffee! Sold at this Safeway. The Dark Chocolate English Toffee is sooo good. Pricey but worth trying

Even though the clerk attending the self check out called me a “sir” twice, I’m rating this store a 5 because it was an honest mistake (I was bundled up and masked), and because they weren’t out of anything, it is super clean, and all of the workers I encountered were actually really nice. The guy with the push broom might want to wait for less busy times, but it’s hard to fault a kid who wants to clean something.

Check out service needs to improve. I was there for a last minute Thanksgiving shopping, when I gave the cashier my own grocery bag, he did not think about to help me at all, everyone behinds me were watching me putting stuffs into the bag and the cashier was just staring at me, definitely delayed the whole line, not sure if it is the policy to not helping customer during the pandemic or they just don't care?! Not saying I needed help, it is just basic customer service and if you see there are more customers in the line, you should want to get everyone service as soon as possible, isn't it?

Very nice and clean at all times. Pretty decent produce. Always good deals on wine. My only gripe is how long I have to wait most times when I need an employee to get liquor out of the cabinet for me.

I've never had any issues at this store, since the employees are typically very aware of their surroundings, especially if I look lost. Their deli food is mediocre at best, but the employees at the deli are so willing to hook you up and let you try different things before you order. It is always a pleasant experience.There is one slight thing that bothers me sometimes - the employees tend to smoke at the entrance, but it's typically vapes and not cigarettes.

This is a gorgeous, well stocked store with fresh, lively produce; an excellent variety of meats and seafood, and a pretty decent wine selection. The staff are kind, friendly, and helpful. Aisles are easy to navigate, and check out is usually pretty quick, even during peak shopping times.

Great Place to Shop! But I am the Founder of Safeway.--Please be kind to my Public Bathrooms--I want to add Public Restrooms 🚻 outside of the Grocery Stores for the general public while retaining the in-store restrooms for the Elderly, Disabled, and the very young, who might have an unexpected bathroom need and may have to visit the outside facility.I need to check various ordinances before building the outside Restrooms.Some people stalk me and deliberately Funk up my Restrooms. Large and well stocked store. It's fairly rare for me to not be able to find what I may need for meals. The bakery is great as is the butcher/seafood area. My only complaint, which is rare, could be the lack of friendliness, etc of the person who monitors the self-checkout. It's hard to explain, he just comes off very unfriendly.

I just when to the store today at 8:50pm and I will like to use the restrooms but was locked my wife and I asking to the manager in turn his name is Dan if he can unlock them for us he tells us he closed the restrooms at 8pm because many homeless going to the store just to used and he not open for us he recommend to go to target or gas station if I want to use the restrooms is very embarrassing to have one employee like that I have to hold my pee for my shopping at least 30 minutes I can not believe safeway has employee like that.

Their pharmacy gives out conflicting information. Their dial-in number says they do walk in vaccinations. Speaking with the pharmacist they say you have to schedule online. When walking in they say they have appointments available, but online doesn't show any availability. It would be nice if they would follow the procedures established by their own company.When I asked to speak with a manager, the checker huffed, called for a manger, then huffed again and walked off. No manger ever showed up. It was the most bizarre encounter with Safeway staff I have had.The store itself looks great and seems to be well stocked, I'm just not sure what is going on with the employees.

Prices are as high as California's Safeway. Do like the layout much better, still need to find a more reasonable food prices and pharmacy is higher also!

They are ok, but last time the person couldn’t tell me how the tax broke down on my receipt for 2 packs of Tumwater. The price for 2 was 23.98. But the tax was 10.72.Looking down on the recipe t, it breaks it down. But it it doesn’t explain the $10.72 cents for 23.98 of liquor. Should a liter tax be charged for cans? Or is this just Safeway doing this? I went to the store and they said ‘it’s all calculated’.
