Ok I have read reviews on here that have been posted 2 months ago or so. The truth is the employees who work here are not rude and they do not toss your groceries in the bags. I have been coming here for 4 years now and they are nice to me. They do not toss my items in my bag. Sometimes I use the self check out. Yes they do have items that are over priced but some of their stuff is on sale. If you only come here once on a great while you will see their bread on sale or their candy or ice cream sometimes. I understand some customers buy in bulk but if your going to slander the store for high prices I suggest you come back once in awhile and see how they advertise their items in the store.

Disappointing Decline in Quality (1 Star)I've been a customer at Swansons for years, ever since I was a kid. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, which makes this review even harder to write. Unfortunately, the quality of the products has declined significantly in recent times.On multiple occasions, I've purchased food that was past its expiration date. This is concerning and falls far short of the standards I used to expect from Swansons. On top of that, the prices seem to have gone up considerably, making it difficult to justify shopping there anymore.It saddens me to say this, but I won't be shopping at Swansons in the future. While I dislike going to Walmart, it feels like the only option for now.Hopefully, Swansons will address these issues and return to the quality and value it once offered.

Since no one else is gonna say it. I might as well. The food sucks, the groceries are over priced, the food is usually past dare or right before best due date, the produce is always moldy. There are some checkers are either unruly and / or act careless by just tossing groceries in the grocery bags. I went and spent over $200 in groceries and the checker just tossed my groceries in the bags, not only did she break a dozen of eggs which cost $8 but a refill bottle of hand soap went all over my bag of groceries. Mind you. I wasn't the only customer that was not happy. There was another one who lives in humptulips that was very upset because they were only 2 checker with lines going into the aisle and at least 6 employees walking around not doing . She even mentioned how careless the employees are and how she can believe how she can spend so much on food that either rotten or expired .

Its seems really over priced, especially the meat section. I've gotten very expired meat from their "pick 5". I recommend shopping else where. Better quality and better prices elsewhere.

Ridiculously overpriced. Stop in for a good sale price item from time to time. Every item is a corner store price otherwise. For example. They are the closest to me so I tried again today. Just needed a head of lettuce. $3,49!!! I won't pay double to save a 2 mile drive.The last few years of corporate greed inflation haven't helped their prices. That head a lettuce is $5 now. The employees are all amazing, everybody's nice. It's a great small town store for sales. Regular prices are still yeah.

They have this Devonshire dip for fruit that is AMAZING. I have actually become obsessed with it. This, with raspberries and/or strawberries is INCREDIBLE. They do pretty well keeping it in stock nowadays, lol. Im always treated kindly and helped quickly and effectively. Have not had a bad experience at this location. Prices can be a bit high but welcome to the new world; everything's expensive and hardly anyone can afford it. Thank you Swansons of Hoquiam!

Welcome to the most expensive store in the northwest! But best part is you dont live here and have to shop here. Workers are amazing and friendly as I think they earn a high commission off the 8$ stick of butter or the 9$ bleach you can get down the street from the dollar plus a dollar plus a dollar store!!

Great location. Really enjoyed the loud conversation between a employee and a customer of how diarrhea was all over the ladies restroom. Prices were ridiculously high. Self check out is a nightmare. Attending person rude. I left my phone in a cart accidentally and instead of tell me rude attender pushed my cart back to corral with my bright turquoise case shining in the cart. I highly recommend any other establishment to buy $52.54 worth of groceries. Gross!

Went into this grocery store, my son as we were checking out found a dollar on the ground upon picking it up I asked the cashier if her till was off she then looked at the dollar in my sons hand and said no, then grabs the $1 out of my sons hands. My son is 3, non verbal, and autistic. I’m not sure what kind of people work there but if you areMissing a dollar go claim it before the cashier takes it home. It was the end register.

Most staff are nice, some hold grudges if you complain about a wrong priced item. Some of the prices are a little high, and sometimes price labels are wrong. I found some items out of date, but it doesn't stop me from shopping there 3-4 times a week. Just look at the items good that you plan to purchase.

These prices are outrageous! Thus is one of the most overpriced stores I demand a change! For a ten pack of sausage biscuits it's 12.69 only five packs because there are two! Its not fair! A bag of half full bag of fries with half air half fries is 7.99

I shop here a lot and always get friendly service. An advantage of living in a small town, they all know you and are happy to see you. They care about there customers and it shows. I feel that the service is even better with the change of ownership a few years ago. The employees always seem to be stocking, ordering or cleaning but are quick to hit the check stands when there are more then 2 people in line. I love the everyone is family mentality and I can't think of a thing I would change.

This store has an amazing meat and poultry deal 5 packages for 20 bucks i love it. Good hometown feel. They know by face and are always very kind. The Cowboy kitchen is right next door and is a staple on the community.

This store is as old as time, as it was here long before I was. An old family values kinda place like the good old days when they knew your name when u came in and greeted you as such. Great prices, great value and a true test of time. A true value to our community, even with new owners they stand with the same values and commitments that made this store last as long as it has.

Prices are very high. But you can't beat the local feel and the friendly faces. New owners have taken over and some very good changes have been made. Produce is nice and fresh and they have an awesome selection of wines. Parking is easy in and out even for being at the end of a one way street!
