My grandaughter got a kitten there last week! The kitten was already fixed but had to take her to the vet! She has ringworm’s and a respiratory infection! I know they are doing a good thing but 125 dollars later we are having to treat her! The ringworms were already there when she got her! We have no problem giving this precious little kitty treatment! But I know they knew she had issues! Just wanted to give her a good home but the money was a lot! She will be taken care of but when you adopt a dog or cat out just remember that some people can’t afford the vet bills and the poor little animals might suffer!!!

The work they do here is thankless and so needed by the abandoned animals. They take such amazing care of each animal to help it find their furever home. We've adopted 3 cats from them and I can't recommend them more! Wonderful, kind people that deserve everyone's thanks and admiration.

I've been thrift shopping at the PAWS garage sale for decade but this weekend was the first time I looked at the possibility of adopting. Nanette and Cortez were incredibly friendly and helpful. And Nanette, in particular, was remarkably knowledgeable about breeds and dog behavior. I'm still in the early stages of my dog adoption process but I feel so much more well prepared after spending some time at PAWS and getting to know a lovely pup and learning so much. Love this place.

While principals often inspire great works my visit to this facility disturbed me... and still is.While I think it is a tragedy to euthanize a healthy dog (my opinion is still fluid regarding cats-perhaps a bad time for humor) I was wholly unprepared for what I saw at North Beach. When we arrived with our dog we were greeted by a young healthy dog in a holding kennel waiting for his new family to arrive. However, when after waiting well beyond or appointment time, we were introduced to the dogs we came to meet they were still in need of serious convalescing. They'd obviously been through hell and survived though much the worse for wear.I believe the folks there were doing about the best anyone could ask given the mission they've taken on. It appears they were once well equipped. Perhaps the enormity of the problem is overwhelming. Perhaps there are too few facilities like this. I don't know. What I do know is what I saw, and what I smelled turned my stomach, and caused my companion to sob most of our trip home.If you choose to be one of North Beach's thousand of rescue families per year, be aware you may see things that are tragic, and frankly disturbing for the unprepared.

North Beach Paws staff and volunteers always step up when our small rescue is in dire need of help with the overwhelming amount of animals that need our help! We know the dogs will be well cared for, vetted and loved!

Lots of selections to choose from. It was cold in one of the areas though. They had a fan on and it was wet and windy outside

Rescues always put me on edge because of how the dogs are kept in cement kennels with but with the open chain link gates to the kennels, interacting one on one with the animals is convenient and easy. I adopted my big boy, Groot, there a little over a year ago and the cat house brought me my kittens, Darkling and Tally, in June.

First 5 minutes here a dog bit me and caused pretty gnarly swelling to my arm. Destroyed my puffy jacket as well. The lady (Nanette) didn't seem to care. Didn't offer me ice or anything to help the swelling. I am going to get my arm looked at and send the bill to them. It is YOUR responsibility to warn the public about YOUR dangerous dogs. I've reported animal control about the incident. The dog needs to take a forever nap. They offered to pay for my jacket and never sent the check after I called animal control to report them. Shady business, very happy we didn't adopt a puppy from here.

I was cat house host for just shy of 2 years. I've never been prouder of the work I did. The people here literally bleed, sweat and cry over these precious babes. The people, facility and the work done here is nothing short of amazing. Help support this wonderful establishment by visiting the yard sale they have every Saturday between 10-4,(except the weekends of Christmas/new years). #volunteers are always needed. If not here, at a cat or dog shelter/rescue near you.

We love this loving animal shelter! Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable. Visit the thrift shop and you're sure to find a lot of bargains and the sales go to the shelter and animals! A win win for all! The dogs and cats are well taken care of and you're sure to find a new best friend there.

If possible I'd give them zero stars. We just adopted a little dog when he squeezed through our locked gate. Paws volunteers we kind enough to help us look for him but would not return him to us. BEWARE OF THE VERY DISHONEST PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE!

The love that these dedicated volunteers have for animals in need is clear to see in all they do. I got my two kittens here and I’ve been so impressed with the facility and people!

Great place to help cats & dogs that are on hard times. We adopted Poe (male tabby, 1 1/2 years) in February of 2020. He is the best cat ever!!!!! We not only buy from Paws but drive 125 miles each way to donate.

Have you ever heard, "1st impressions are everything"? It's true! I just left North Beach Paws. There were about 3 suggestions of folks needing donations, 1 was the senior center, for which I have taken several loads, and they've always been welcoming, and genuinely grateful. I have specifically put aside all animal related items, and decided to drive them out to Paws. I have looked forward to going to the facility since I moved to the area from out of state. I'm a huge animal advocate, financial supporter, and volunteer. I have been helping a local woman downsize, and she's had some amazing items she's parting with. I've wanted to share these items with those in need locally.I just left Paws, the only reason I'm not giving them 1 star, is because I have read, and heard they are reputable where animal rescue is concerned. Clearly, given this experience, they have no business wasting peoples time asking for donations, along with definitely needing to work on their welcome mat to customers, who by the way could have been significant future donors, of which I will definitely not be ever again, financial, or other at this point please beleive.I drove all the way out there when I could have taken this load to the senior center before they closed. When I pulled in, there were many cars parked in the facility, but I walked around the kennels, and all around the buildings figuring there would be someone outside I could ask where I should take the items, instead I saw no movement anywhere. Not a soul to greet me, or be able to ask a question of. Finally, I hear a guy say can I help you in an annoyed tone come from a building by the kennels. I guess a couple people could see me from from a window,  but I could not see them. It only gets worse from here. He seemed to be eating something, and I asked where I should bring donations, and again he seeming annoyed, said what is it, still at the door not bothering to walk out, and I tried to generally tell him what I had, and he yells into someone, who also seems uninterested. Then he left for awhile. It was all so damn weird, and then he walks out and he says he's going to go over to the cat people to see if they need whatever it is I have brought to donate. Never once interested to even look. I was getting really annoyed at that point, because I felt like I had gone to the trouble of getting this load together especially for them, because I was told they were in need, when I could have brought it to the senior center which is literally right around the corner from me, where they would have been thrilled to get this load. Instead I'm driving all the way out there today, only to be greeted in such a disturbing way. Or really NOT AT ALL GREETED for crying out loud. One annoyed guy finally walking out, not even saying hello, I couldn't even get him to take a second to walk over to the bed, much less the cab of the truck just to see what I had. I said listen if you don't need/want it, just tell me, and he said "you can keep it"!! Lol Yeah the entire experience was  rediculously not ok.I had a huge hardly used extremely nice cat condo enclosed pen with all parts, with like 3 stories, with all kinds of stuff for the inside of it, like ladders, and scratching post, toys, I had a sliding glass doggy door insert, I had a greenworks mower which was nearly new, I had automatic feeders, and waterers, dog and cat bowls, and toys, some kind of electric machine for litter, a brand new never used hp printer, and so much more. To add insult to injury, my gas, and time wasted at paws meant the senior center had closed, so I had to drive this load back home, and will now take it to them tomorrow.Yes, it may be awhile, if ever, before I think of paws in a decent light. I know many folks in the community think highly of them, and the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1. However, I have heard some negative feedback about them as well, and is the faction I now fall under.

This is such a fantastic organization!! I had my kitten neutered here. They gave him a flea treatment, first shots and even trimmed his nails. The facility is clean, well organized, and the people working there are the most wonderful folks! They truly care about the animals. I was so impressed with the cat-io! An enclosed patio for cats. Beautiful surroundings. If you need help or would like to adopt a forever friend this is the place t do it. The adoption fees are not cheap, but for everything they do, it's a warranted fee. This is a" no kill" shelter. Kind, loving and caring volunteers. The paws in Aberdeen has so many precious babies that need great homes. Very, very, wonderful group of folks

What an Awesome shelter for God's precious creatures. I'm so blessed to have the opportunity to volunteer here. Many of the dogs and cats wound up here due to abandonment, but are in loving hands now. This is a great place to find a companion. They'll love you for the rest of their life, but they need your love as much. Both of our dogs were previously abused, but are now family. North Beach Paws also has a yard sale every Saturday. Show your support however you're able.

I got my beautiful Blackberry kitty from the Ocean Shores Paws. I love her to pieces and she is just as they described. I have two other cats and she is blending in amazingly well. They're already in a kitty pile for naps. I'm very grateful and Blackberry ,kinda long so I changed to Barbie is a wonderful blessing to my happy home. I call my cats honey, baby, beautiful, etc. I don't think there's any trauma there. Lol. Thank you ever so MUCH!

We put in an application for a dog sometime last week. We were told that the application status will be given to us in about a week. We weren’t really given the process except for the fact that we need to wait for a phone call. The application was literally a page long—front and back. We called today to find out that the dog had been adopted. There was no phone call or email letting us know. We had our hopes up for nothing. The customer service is definitely not ideal. I’m disappointed in the lack of communication on their end.

North Beach Paws is a wonderful shelter. Smart, compassionate, thoughtful volunteers. They were so helpful with figuring out good matches for us. We've gotten two great cats, the first in Sept 2019 and the second August 2020. We'd never had cats before and the staff were really informative. It's a really nice well-run facility - clean, healthy, and really nice people running it.

They've done it again stealing cats and adopting them out after the owner of the cats have reached out asking if they had seen them. First with Dreamer an orange tabby lost last December and now with 2 face a half black half calico cat. Both owners reached out with photos and were told they didn't have the cats then posted photos with new adopted parents. A case is being put together and hopefully this place will be closed down for good. Nothing but theives here!

Love north beach paws I have been so blessed to have adopted a very sweet dog from here that came in from a hoarding situation. I also have been blessed to volunteer here and see the hardwork it takes to run a rescue. It’s sad seeing bad reviews based off people not getting the animal they want threatening to take away donations. Just because you didn’t get the animal you wanted doesn’t mean that animal didn’t get a great home. Sometimes rescues get multiple applications and have multiple great choices they can only choose one home! I’ve been rejected for the animal I wanted and I would never write a bad review on that rescues page because all rescues true rescues like north beach paws do great jobs!!! Anyways I’ve had a great experience and I do wish people didn’t write bad reviews on rescues because it makes no sense to complain about an organization that is a non profit volunteer based type of situation!! If it was a company that made billions I’d get it but it’s a place that saves lives everyday. The dog I adopted wouldn’t of survived if she didn’t get to north beach paws. People that get those on the whim puppies without calculating the cost wouldn’t be able to safely give them up if it wasn’t for north beach paws. We’d have more stray cats everywhere on the streets if it wasn’t for north beach paws. Sasha one of the cats at the rescue that can’t be adopted because she doesn’t trust people wouldn’t have a forever home if it wasn’t for north beach paws. Anyways north beach paws does amazing things so to anyone that wants to say negative things grow up and quit being picky because animal rescues are imperfect but they save lives. Some of the dogs in the hoarding situation my dog came from didn’t survive because of the neglect to spay and neuter and getting so badly inbred they had no quality of life but the ones that survived are doing amazing because of paws.

Couldn’t take care of two cats any longer and had to give them up.They asked some important questions to get to know them and what they needed. And I gave a donation to help cover the cats meals and medicine. They are all volunteers that work together and do a wonderful job. Made me very comfortable being there as well assuring me the kitties were going to be well taken care of during their stay.I was very thankful. If anyone is looking for a good kitty to adopt they have some very cute/kind ones needing loving homes.

Worst place ever! I have a stray kitten with a missing eye (not mine) & all they do is euthanize them! There's no point in having a PAWS! They are wortless!

This is a very special shelter. The team here takes their time to show you around, tell you stories about the animals, and gives you time to get to know your new fluffy friend(s) prior to adoption. I highly recommend coming here for your next pet.

The volunteers here are 5 stars! Imagine trying to organize rooms full of treasures, from cutlery to shoes in two large spaces. From floor to ceiling. Furniture too. Not for the faint of heart and delicate sensibilities. My favorite finds to date are a pair of Americana coffee mugs, two collections of summer reading (25 cents for paperbacks), milk glass bowls for my cats, bathroom rug that I use at the beach for wiping my feet, and an All Clad saucepan. Did I mention they have clothes and jewelry and shoes and bags and, well you get the idea. All the while, lonely, anxious dogs bark for attention in the background. You might find yourself going home with more than "stuff." Open Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm.
