Even though the pricing for food is expensive, I overall had a more than great experience with this store. The Canal itself has its charms to add to the ambience of the store. Awesome staff, and I mean everyone. They do offer shoppers rewards and holiday special pricing. Take advantage of sales as much as you can.

My boyfriend and I are interested in buying a cabin in the area, so came in to see if this grocery store would be sufficient for our needs if we lived here most of the time. Grocery is super clean, well-stocked, has good-looking produce and meat. It doesn't have a dusty, barren post-apocalyptic feel, nor is it a convenience store pretending to be much more than junk food and fly swatters. Besides the typical grocery items, also has wine, firewood, and a deli. Everyone was really nice there, and prices aren't too bad either. Great place.

It's a good Place to stop, I drive the Hood Canal once a month, up and down. I always stop here, they keep the outhouses really clean, then I go in the store for a snack and a soda. The people are very nice and helpful.

Great fresh produce and decent meat market! Good liquor and wine shop if a bit pricey. Doesn't have a huge selection of asian or Latin foods but has some nice basics!

The vegetables and fresh fruits are not cheap,but I see a advertised for fresh dungeness crab only 6.99/lb on July 28/29.Amazing price!

Clean and friendly! Pretty pricey, as is often the case in a place where there are many tourists, so nothing unexpected. However, the woman who checked out our groceries was so friendly and made great suggestions for sites in the area. Will absolutely shop there again when we return.

Amazing place. But you can’t wash your hands here? By WA State law I’m pretty sure any establishment that serves food must have a restroom or hand washing station to wash your hands. Hand sanitizer doesn’t cut it.Hey, working hard? Got dirty hands from changing a tire? Come to our clean and professional establishment and after a nasty port a potty experience, slosh that filth off with some instant hand sanitizer and then eat your chicken tenders.And yes, this is WA State law decades before Covid.Will change to 5 stars when I can wash my hands here.

A nice grocery store located in Hoodsport, WA.They have a good selection and a deli.They also have restrooms/ portable toilets in the parking lot if you are passing through.

This place has the best Dailys peppered bacon in the pacific northwest. The fresh fried chicken was delicious coming from a man of color. Someone said that the people that work at this store does not like tourists. I interacted with tourists, locals and store staff and they were all regular people with professionalism. One man came in upset because they didn't have any corn dogs made. When I come back hopefully I can buy a corn dog. It was 9am and he shook his head when the deli worker said he didn't have any corn dogs made. When the man left, the worker immediately put corn dogs in the fryer.

I stopped to get gas around 8:20PM on 8/13/23 and had about a 1/4 tank left in my Toyota Tacoma. I pulled up to pump 8 on the outside lane, put my credit card in and began fueling. After 7gal the nozzle clicked off. I knew I wasn't done fueling so I kept trying and it would not dispense anymore fuel and kept clicking off. Seemed strange, but I figured it was a faulty nozzel. I put the nozzle back and moved up to the next nozzle expecting to put around another 7gal in. My tank is only 21gal according to Toyota. It pumped another 14gal before stopping. I've never pumped 21gal into my truck ever. My fuel light was not even on. I asked the person behind the counter and he didn't seem interested in documenting the problem or taking my information. Today I tried calling the store to talk to a manager and it went to a message wishing me Merry Christmas. So no hope anyone would be listening to those messages. Beware buying gas there. Something is seriously wrong with their pumps.

Prices are outrageous! Also employees don’t care. Price of s’mores chocolates in 3 places. $6.99 then $7.65 and $8.35. Of course hugest price at register. When told price was wrong cashier just agreed and kept ringing up. Display right at end of register.

This is a nice place to stop for food and necessities. My family and I shop here fairly regularly. They have a great variety, prices are good, and employees are very friendly and helpful. The beautiful scenery across the way is an added pleasure!

A little spendy but understandable being way out there and honestly what isnt these days. Cute knickknacks, their deli has some fancy treats. grocery store and hardware store and gas station are connected so super convenient. Staff is nice, gas prices at the gas station are always better than anywhere else around. Not open to late so make sure you get there before 10 i believe it is. But all in all good little store

It is a grocery store in a small community and it is quite pricey. Must have a lot of rich people living in Hoodsport. They don't even have nice food options ($5.49 for a qt of soy milk), everything seemed to be about 40% higher than grocery stores in Shelton or Olympia. But, they do seem well stocked on alcohol, likely 25% of the store is selling alcohol. Next time will will go north to PT where there are at least some options. On a side note, the gas station next door has the best price I've seen on gas anywhere on the peninsula.

I love these people. They provide quality and variety, which one might not expect for such a "small town, middle of nowhere" feel. Everything, including their cashiers are lovely.

Great little store. This store has everything you need. I love coming here when I go camping in Hoodsport. I can always just drop on in if I need too load up on supplies of food, water or whatever I may need when on my trip. I highly recommend this store for whatever your needs may be. And if you need hardware supplies right next door is the outfitters store which is like a mini Ace Hardware.

This place has lots of great groceries and is connected to a hardware/outdoors store. We visited during the heatwave of 22 and took refuge in the air conditioned store for a few minutes. They have a nice deli here and reasonably priced groceries. We bought some corn here and it was so ripe and delicious! They have a pretty good variety of things, we bought Sriracha hot sauce (apparently there's a shortage of this?) and water shoes. Word to the wise- the water shoes run big. Bring your own from home. My son took them off, they wouldn't stay on while swimming.

Spent a lot of money at the seafood sale today but when I got home I realized I didn't ask if the crab was pre Frozen.. it was ..and it gave us that lovely rubbry Frozen taste I'll know better next time.. to add insult to injury the lobster was absolutely horrible $117 of seafood went to the neighbors cats.

My 6yo daughter needed to use the bathroom, directed to port-a-johns outside. All 6 had urine on seats and 0 toilet paper/ hand sanitizer. Forced to buy expensive stuff just to allow a child to use the restroom. Supposedly serviced 2 days ago

the good reviews are from non locals. I live up here and everyone hates them. I’ve watched them hike up their prices an absurd amount while underpricing things that nearby small local businesses are trying to sell. They not only take away business from the actual local stores here, they also take advantage of the elderly community (many whom can’t travel all the way to Shelton for groceries) by charging double what is charged at other grocery stores like Freddie’s and Walmart. Many of us are on retirement and only have what we’ve saved up. I can travel 40 minutes to buy a can of tuna for 99 cents or drive 10 minutes and buy the same can for $3. It’s immoral. This isn’t even a local small business like people think, it’s a chain. The owners should be ashamed of themself, all the old folks up here talk about how much we hate this store. Shame on you for exploiting our community, absolute shame.
