Glen Ayr has been our go to "local" getaway in our travel trailer. Waking up to seeing the view of the water is relaxing. The creek next to our site was soothing to hear at night. You don't really hear any road noise. The trail into the woods is a nice touch. Every staff member we have encountered the last 2-3 yrs have been so nice! Even scored some really cute earrings in the office. There is lots to explore around Hoodsport.

Stayed in the campsite everything was clean and orderly. Showers were fabulously clean. And staff was definitely a five-star. Did not stay in the motel. But did look at rooms on the day we checked out of the campgrounds. Looks very clean and comfortable. Book the room for in February and another camping trip next May. I would recommend this resort to anyone who wants a great stay and a convenient location on the Hood CanalNearby activities: This is a nature lovers dream. A few short miles away you can walk along lakes and rivers. View spectacular waterfalls.Noteworthy details: View of the Hood Canal is spectacular. Close to the town of Hoodsport where you can get a good meal or a great drink . Also has a coffee company. Plus a winery and a distillery. Tasting rooms and a great ice cream

We rented the cottage twice in August. Very friendly. We were visiting our children. It worked out perfect for family gatherings and our grandchildren spending the night with us. It was clean & had everything we needed. They had good size fans for every room. It got up to 100 2 days but with all the windows & fans we were very comfortable. Love the view & this site. Would recommend.Noteworthy details: There is a gazebo for private gatherings. They provide grills. A room for pool, games, movies. Private dock with beach when tide is out.

Once again, this place will exceed expectations!!!This is my second trip to this resort and I cannot say enough good about the cleanliness of the rooms and the wonderful staff. I will be returning when we get my daughter certified for Scuba without a doubt. you have made a life long customer out of me.Rooms: I have stayed at five star hotels all over the US and even as far as Iceland, the cleanliness of the rooms here are something to brag about.Nearby activities: The resort is so close to town that it takes only minutes to be in a grocery store or restaurant, but far enough that you would think your way out of town.Safety: The area is perfectly lit for an evening stroll, but no so much that you get light pollution in your roomNoteworthy details: The dive locker/Drying room is a Huge bonus for us Divers. secure, dry and well lit.

This was our second stay at Glen Ayr and it was equally delightful. The rooms in the motel are immaculate, cheery, and quit comfortable. Even though we managed to visit during warm spells, the fans in the room and evening sea breezes kept us comfortable. Enjoying picnic dinners on the dock was a real treat. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful.

We had our entire family here in mid August. 1 family was camping with 3 other groups spread throughout the resort. Very clean and quiet with beautiful views of Hood Canal. We had one slight issue but management was right on it and the owner dealt with it himself in person. I appreciate that kind of service and we will all be coming back in the future. Great dock and water access too.

What an awesome stay. Fortunate enough to get to stay in the cottage for five wonderful days. The view was incredible. Close to shopping and not far from restaurants but enjoyed just going to the beach. Sitting enjoying the water and feeling the breeze was the best. The owners and staff make you feel welcome and like a friend. Best time out ever☺️Thank you for being wonderful!Rooms: Cottage was clean and charming. Full water view.Nearby activities: Just a few minutes away to food and cute shops.

Family friendly, quiet, great facility, love the amenities. I love that it’s located just outside the business area but not too far so we could come back to the store or coffee place in 5 min if we needed to but we feel disconnected from everything else when we were at the resort.This time we stayed in one of the kitchenette and was awesome: cleaned and comfortable complete kitchen… planning to come back for sure. Couple of different options for places to explore if you like water, mountains and trees.

This place will not disappoint!! The staff was Extraordinary from first contact to departure.The room was cleaner than a hospital surgical suite…and you can drown from the selection and quantity of pillows on your bed!!The scuba diving portion of my visit couldn't have been nicer because they provide a heated and secure dive locker for your gear, lit pathways for night dives, and lit dock for gearing up and final checks. when your done diving, you can soak in the giant hot tub!If you fancy cooking, they have great bbqs all setup with propane attached and ready to go.Finally, the view is unbeatable, both mornings I was there I enjoyed a cup of coffee on the front deck and watched the boats go up and down the channel !!!!

This place is superb!!!Can’t believe how beautiful the location is. They have a great couple of forest trails, a great new indoor hot tub with a view of the Hood Canal, and a large dock right on the water. It was the perfect place to relax as a jumping off point to explore the Olympics. It’s a short drive to Lake Cushman, and there are an abundance of hikes that start within 15 minutes. Cute little town of Hoodsport is close by. Crabbing, clamming, and oysters are all at your doorstep.We stayed in a hotel room. Owners live on site and were super kind and helpful. The whole process was a breeze. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Definitely coming back and making it a tradition!Can’t recommend enough!

We have been on the road in our RV since April 2023 and this may be one of our favorite stays so far! You can't beat the views, the bald eagles, the fresh air, and the blackberries. The town of Hoodsport was adorable. I loved going to the dock and pebbled beach across the street, although crossing the 101 made me a bit nervous. They do provide flags that I *think* are meant to be carried for visibility. Every associate of the property was so kind and helpful! One gentlemen, I didn't get his name, but used to have a Husky, was so nice to talk to and gave good advice on clamming and eagle watching and always had a good joke :)The only negative feedback I have to give, which is not really the resorts fault, is that a few people who seemed like regulars or more long-term didn't really respect site space. We had issues with people walking thru the sites, coming behind the trailer to pick blackberries, and also lighting up cigarettes at our door or open windows. We both work full-time and found that distracting.Other than that, I highly recommend and we will hopefully be back one day.

Great view, awesome dock. Clean bathrooms and showers. They also gave a front porch to sit on, overlooking Hood Canal.Big club room with TV, pool table, card table, etc.Ice, laundromat, and the staff were wonderful.Great campsites for your camper, some will accommodate the big 5th wheels, most a large motor home, class A.

This “RESORT” is a waste of your time and money. My partner and I stayed here earlier this season. The owners only care about getting your reservation and want nothing to do with you once you are there. We had an issue and wanted to discuss it with them but they refused to meet with us. They live on the property, and are constantly leaving their 3 young children unattended while they micromanaged their employees. The rooms are dated and run down. Save your money and keep driving.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Very clean property inside and out, well maintained and organized, backed by friendly caring hospitality. Great location, peaceful quiet environment, surrounded by nature and less than a minute walk from a private dock (access included) with stunning waterfront access. A few minutes drive to a great local grocery store, restaurants, and even an Ace Hardware. This is a great spot for short or long term stays, you will like it so much you probably won’t want to leave.Oh and by the way….they have an awesome HOT TUB!!

Ah the sweet smell of Hood Canal as soon as you turn onto 101N always brings me peace...... as well as staying at Glen Ayr. This was our 7th year to rent the townhouse for a week along with bringing our boat because they have a dock. However, we have been coming to Glen Ayr for over 30 years, here and there, whenever we needed a room for a couple nights.I LOVE GLEN AYR!!!! Everything about it. It's a laid back environment with the accommodations that i want for a week away from home. Nature, beach, water, cleanliness, close to Hoodsport....even a boat ride ride to Alderbrook to have a fabulous breakfast!!! All of the past owners and now the present ones (Sara) have been really nice. I can't imagine running this property, but then again, I'm old...lol.... The management at the front desk is such a people person. So welcoming!!!! We loved Andie...Will be booking for next year's trip !!! Maybe even come for a few nights during the off season...Cecile Smith

We spent 3 nights here in our RVs this last weekend, we had five RVs and we had a wonderful time! The friendly hospitality and genuine desire to make sure that our stay was enjoyable and relaxing by the new young owners was so nice, we left feeling like we had made some new lifelong friends.This young couple are working sun up to sun down keeping the place in great shape. We have been coming here for many years, and these folks are maintaining that quality in the facilities that we have grown to expect when staying here, we can't wait to return.

Very nice small rv park, dock and water across the street. 1 mile to the town of Hoodsport. Very clean and neat. Nice level concrete for rv. Erica was great, very accommodating. Made reservations few months early and asked about cable TV and hot tub which they offered. When we arrived there was no cable at the sites and the hot tub was broken. We were disappointed since we book sites for these amenities.
