Absolutely AMAZING: request the “3-6-9” (not a regular menu item created by Chef/ Owner: James on 4/2024): 3 meat patties, 6 pieces of cheese, 9 pieces of bacon topped with lettuce, pickles, & sauce. My fiancé (master meat eater) said “Best burger I’ve had in over 5 years! Also, it reheats great which is a plus as there is no way I could eat an entire one of these burgers in one sitting.” It’s 2 meals in one. Expect to share or have leftovers. One burger served 3 of us with small fries. A definite must to experience. Even my brother with an empty leg and metabolism of a hummingbird couldn’t eat the entire burger in one sitting. I DARE you to eat this for one meal without sharing it in under an hour. It should become a challenge. Not sure it’s possible except for trained food consuming experts. Stopped by here for lunch on our way from Port Angeles back to Portland. Pleasantly surprised by the menu selection, which includes burgers and teriyaki plates! Bummed they had just sold out of the bulgogi so if you’re reading this, make sure to get it if it’s available on your visit! The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. I recommend the spicy chicken teriyaki plate! Thanks, y’all. 🔥Parking: Easy parking right on the lot.

I’ve driven by a few times and was excited to stop and give the Burger Stand a try. It was a mistake. The fries were cold and over salted. The burger was okay at best, but there was nothing fresh about any of it. The prices were steep for such mediocre food. Then the guy on the grill kept getting orders wrong and the lady taking orders was constantly correcting him.Not going back.

Definitely stop in here for a quick and delicious burger if you're passing through. The chicken nuggets are also tasty and they have a lot of dipping sauces to choose from. Conveniently located right on 101 and the start of the road up to Staircase! Dog friendly on the patio.Olympic Otter

Had the deluxe cheeseburger and it came out in like 5 minutes!! Super friendly staff!! (Seriously)!!!.The fries were nicely salted and crinkled!!! The burger was just heavy enough and juicy! Came to visit lake cushman for the weekend, so this is one of the few poppin places in town!

Perfect post hike burger spot. Unpretentious, accessible, fast and quality food. There is one person running the show who is 100% good vibes. I ordered the Bulgogi burger which was the perfect fusion and flavor. Like a Korean cheesecake - chefs kiss - brilliant.The interior has a couple of 2 and 4-top tables but the gem is the outdoor seating with picnic tables (some are covered) and the beautiful garden.The perfect spot for hiker groups, friends, families. Don't sleep on this place!

The chicken sandwich was really good, fried to perfection, the filet was not bogged with grease, the chicken was tender, juicy, and not 1 spot of gristle. The sandwich comes with ranch, and I was able to substitute with mayo! Must have again when I am in the area. The fries were also a hit! Not overly salted, fried to a crispy yet tender center. 😋 staff is great and friendly!

An after backpacking stop!! The food was really good and the service was excellent!We got ourselves the bolgogi burger, chicken strip basket, chicken teriyaki, and some grand huckleberry ice cream .Really enjoyed the flavors and would stop again next time!

I loved the Bulgogi Burger. So tasty. Juicy. Wow! Could have easily shared. Had excellent service from “the guy” doing it ALL. Only left a star out in hopes he can find temp help. Located where 5 and 119 meet. Oh, shake was awesome too.

the BEST thing about the Burger Stand are the specials that the cook creates. not only are the breakfast sandwiches big, hearty, and delicious, but there are other surprises on the menu as well. Beef Bulgogi sandwich with Kimchi?!?! unbelievable flavor! try it on the fries too! I now follow The Burger Stand on Facebook so I can know about the new specials they create! don't sleep in this small town, BIG flavor spot!

My family and I spent a few days in Hoodsport, Wa. On our way out to a huge hike on Mt. Ellinor, we stopped at the Burger Stand. Our burgers were great, friendly service, etc. But as we were walking out, the breakfast cook delivered food to another table that smelled so good, I had to stop him to ask what it was. He offered to make us a small sample. It was the bulgogi and he brought enough for my family of four to try. James, the breakfast cook, was so friendly! We returned the following day for bulgigi burgers, which were amazing! James did us right then, too. When hubby asked if he could get cheddar instead of the pepper jack, swiss, or provolone options, James offered to fry some shredded cheddar and add it. When he brought the food, he told us he'd added our requested jalapeños to the fried cheddar before putting on our burgers! Again, the friendly, personalized service, laid back atmosphere and incredible food, made this our favorite place. It was our hope to return a third day for James's famous breakfast sandwich, The Big Nasty, before we left, but we just didn’t get up early enough! James, if you read this, thanks for adding to the joy of our trip! We're gonna make our own version of the Big Nasty at home!

Ordered chicken and bulgogi teriyaki take out for dinner, and onion rings friends were raving about.....very good rings!!Chicken was good but the bulgogi was so bland, I had to douse it with the sauce that came with it (which was too sweet), and without the sauce, there wasn't a hint of the bulgogi marinade.......more like stir fried beef and sweet sauce on the side!!

This is a great burger joint. They also have teriyaki (I didn't try it but will next time). The owners came out and asked how everything was...it was delicious. If you are at or passing through Hoodsport I strongly recommend stopping by.Thanks for the great food and service.

The burgers… whattttt. The French fries… whatttt. The Onion rings… whatttt. I mean come on, this place is so good. My wife and I drove 1 hr to come eat here today. I wish it was closer to me. Glad we stopped by. Every other time I've driven past on my way back from adventures in the Olympics there has been a line outside and all tables full. Finally found a time on a Sunday that was a little slower to bring a group of hungry teenagers after backpacking. I chose something I've never heard of before and don't regret it. The bulgogi burger. Super tender marinated strips of beef with the other normal toppings you would expect on a burger. My own kid loved their burger and huge ice cream cone. I went ahead and talked myself into a chocolate peanut butter milkshake to go for my drive home.

I had been seeing this place for years, but never stopped in. I figured it must be good if its been here this long, so we stopped on our way home from camping and the special burger was so so good! and the fries tasted fresh and crunchy, with homemade ranch. We shared a strawberry cheesecake shake that was so nice after a weekend in the woods.

Got the garden burger. Menu didn’t say and I didn’t ask what kind of plant-based meat it was, but it was great. Even better that it had all the toppings I was fantasizing about on the way down from a long hike. The fries were a little thin and could’ve used a bit more seasoning, but the burger sauce was delicious. Nice to have places like this.
