This was my first time driving on the beach. So fun! I just got a new AWD SUV about a month ago so got to try it the different drive modes on it. After driving from one end to the other on the beach, we went to check out the camping area and saw all the yurts. I stayed in a Yurt in HI and it was so fun. I would definitely come back and rent a yurt in the summer. I'm sure this place is packed when the sun is shining. The camping area also has a small amphitheater, lots of picnic tables, trails, and probably some good mushroom hunting.

Great campground! Will definitely stay again. The yurts are awesome, have electric heaters and 2 outlets. They each have a futon and a bunk bed. Could be comfier - be sure to bring your own bedding. The entire campground is very quiet and sites are spaced apart nicely. 10/10 trip except for our neighbors complained to the rangers about our dog barking at 2:00pm on a Saturday so that was disappointing.

Very well maintained, clean park. Our spot was paved and quite level. The beach area was quiet and clean. The site had plenty of room for our truck and 30 foot trailer.

Great RV camping opportunity with full hookups near wide sandy beach that offers seasonal razor clam digging. All sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Some sites have a cozy yurt sleeping shelter, too. Many activities in the area, including fishing, museums and wineries.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL park. Highly recommend and we will be returning.Clean, wide asphalt roads, RV sites are HUGE and asphalted as well. We had the coolest “magical forest” behind our site (99). We walked to the beach numerous times. It’s a short walk to the sand, but the beach is HUGE so about a 1/4 to the water from our site. There is beach access at the entrance to drive on and/or the beach and one a mile north as well. We used both. We have a 4x4 and had no trouble at either. Staff was super friendly. Even the dump station was immaculate. Tons of space to walk and ride bikes.

Absolutely the best camp of our three week trip. Can’t beat the weather. The bathrooms were super clean and had hot water! We did have an issue. The previous occupants of our campsite decided they didn’t need to move to their different campsite for that night. The sheriff got involved and they were soon gone. We finally checked on about 4pm. It’s all good.

Great park and nice beach. My only knock would be there's not a ton to do in the area other than fishing and clamming

Grayland is one of my favorite state parks in Washington. The grounds, restrooms and showers are very well kept. Camping spots on are larger than average and very flat making it easy to level a trailer. All the spaces in the upper camp grounds are full hook up, the lower spaces near the beach area partial hookup. There are trails to the the beach from the park or you can drive onto the beach from the road by the park entrance. Overall great park which is why I have returned time and time again.Restrooms: Many are newly built and in great condition. Park staff does an excellent job of keeping them clean all day long.

My son and I stayed in a yurt for two days. Ranger was helpful and kind. The yurt was clean and secure. The beds were comfortable. Most importantly for me, the heater worked beautifully. On clear nights we could easily see stars through the transparent dome. The beach was very close by and we were able to walk for a while watching the surf and Plovers.Restrooms: Clean!

We mostly hang out down by North cove Beach because it's a short walk or bike ride from the house. We love it here. It's not usually very crowded like the Peninsula and I attribute that to not being on hwy 101. It's really wet in the winter and perfect in the summer. There is tons of wildlife, BlackBerry picking in August and September, Cranberries in October, Mushrooms to forage, Crabbing, Razor Clam digging, and fishing. I even saw a bear on the beach last fall! There is an ok surf wave in Westport and tons of Kayaking spots and Kite Flying! The only negative thing is 4th of July is hard on the doggos and the beach gets super crowded and quite trashed from people's fireworks, beach fires, beer cans and blatant disrespect for the ocean. 💚💛❤️🌊🦀🐚🕉️👣🏖️ 🏄♀️🤙🍷🍄 🌲🐬🐟🐙 🐌

A really nice newer campground. We stayed in a yurt, a bit expensive, but very convenient with beds (bring your own mattress pads to cover the vinyl), heater, and electricity. Water is at the parking pad. The spots are spaced out far enough that you can barely see your neighbors. RV spots are all pull-through. Bathrooms and showers are new and clean. It's a long walk to the very flat beach.

Nice campground. Spaces were ok. Too close for my liking, but they did have bush/trees between so you got some privacy. Bathrooms are super clean and have showers. A good number of yurts for those without a tent. Also a few pull through spots for those big rigs.

It was definitely different from the other beaches, you can drive on the beach or rent the horses to ride for $25 for half an hour. But it was hard to get a room for the night so make sure to make a reservation otherwise you to turn around to get back to the city.

Quiet and peaceful spot. Not too crowded. It's the longest and widest beach I've ever seen. Took about half an hour to get to the water.Dog-friendliness: It's spacious enough to have your dog off leash, as long as you're respectful of other people and your pup is well behaved.

Great campground! Almost all the sites are good picks and there are lots with RV hookups or that's your thing. We rented a yurt this time (normally we use a tent) and it was nice to have a heater during the cool spring nights. The walk to the beach is long but if you have a 4wd vehicle, consider the access road one mile north of the park (not the one close to the park entrance.)

We have stayed at this park every year for the past six years. Always a good experience. Most of the campsites have good privacy. The grounds are well maintained as is the trail to the beach. Some people need to understand that the whole campground doesn't need to hear you talk, your kids' screaming, or congratulate yourself on your cornhole victory. The park is great, it is some of the rude people staying there that ruin it.

kind of a weird thing to drive on the beach, but i have to say we spent about 8-10 hours here collectively over three visits. the beach was relatively quiet and we had a lot of space to ourselves. really nice spot.

I really enjoyed my stay at Grayland Beach State Park. I rented a yurt to stay in for two nights and it was well worth it. The yurt was clean and tidy. Electric outlet and a small heater in the space make it comphy and cozy. Restroom was less than a minutes walk. Picnic table and fire pit out front. Ten minutes walk to the beach for clam digging. Limited out on nice big razor clams in about :15 minutes. I'll be back!

This park is located well off Hwy 101 on Hwy 105, but it is easy to find and located near a massive ocean beach. Driving is allowed on this beach, so you must be aware of traffic. The beach has a lot of packed sand, so it is great for walking and kite flying. Trail-heads back to the campgrounds are well marked but it is a long walk from camping to surf. We drove our motorhome to this beach and park there for the day to enjoy the view and kites. The campground is laid out in circles with properly angled spaces that are very easy to back into. Nearly every site has power & water, plus utility sites with sewer. You must buy tokens at the ranger station for the showers, so buy some on your way in, but not too many as there are no refunds for unused tokens. We use our own shower instead. The park is clean and well maintained with good trails. We did not see a playground or any interpretive programs.

Beautiful area! There's a full service campground just off the beach (you can walk into beach from campground). Campground review down below. The Beach:This is a hidden 💎. The beach is beyond beautiful and those that come here seem to remove their trash with them. It's very sandy and windy. Perfect area to fly kites or simply soak in some sun on the beach. There is miles of coastline where you can drive and get your own spot to watch the sunset or simply take the kids to build sandcastles. There's plenty of access points where you can simply drive into the beach with your car or truck. Some access points are a little softer than others so if your not in a 4x4 take caution. Though I've personally never had to use 4x4 personally with my truck. The campground:This is one of my families favorite spots. The campground has full service spots for RVs. (Power, water,& sewer). There are loops with private campgrounds spots. (Trees and bushes help seclude each spot). Not every spot is the same seclusion but many sites off it. The campground is well maintained and staffed. Highly recommend booking your next camping experience here.Don't forget you'll need a discover pass if your just visiting the beach. If your camping overnight your camping pass should suffice for visiting the beach.

I mean, it's the beach! That in itself is enough. However, I do love that you can drive on the beach and this day we were able to drive south almost all the way to Tokeland! It was a beautiful day with the sun shining and the waves glistening as they gently crashed to the shore. Perfect day to relax, unwind and forget your cares while you walk along the beach with the one you love. Bliss.

Grayland Beach SP is a very popular camping spot. We snagged one spot in a pod near the beach. The sites are generous size. It's about a two-block walk to the enormous beach. You also can drive there just outside the park. Staff were great. A nice little store. Book early!

Most of the campsites are roomy, with relatively decent amounts of privacy. Bathrooms could use a bit of an update, but the facilities satisfied our needs. The camp hosts were very friendly and attentive, and the ranger was great to work with. The individual campsite loops would be great for groups who reserve several sites together, and provide good space for kids to play or ride bikes. The campground is only a few minutes drive to Westport, and close to several beaches/parks. If going in winter months, beware numerous sites are prone to flooding! Our reserved site was under water after several days of rain, but fortunately we were able to find a new site, and were not charged extra despite it being a more expensive site. Because of the rain, the trails to the beach were partially flooded as well. Rain boots are a good winter addition. Good sites along the beach loops include: 103-106 (especially if reserved together), 107+108, 100, 97, 94+95, 91, 87, 77, 72, 68+69, 66+67, 64+65, and 61+62. Photos below (mid-March) are to show the extent of water in some of the sites; none of the flooded sites are in my list above. Despite a few issues, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again.

Nice State Park in Grayland, WA on the Pacific Ocean just south of Westport and Aberdeen.Star formation campground with full hookup. We were in site 17 which is somewhat overgrown compared to the other loops.Easy access to the beach by foot / car. Vehicles / fires allowed on the beach, 4 wheel drive only, the sand is pretty easy to get stuck in near the ramps even 4 low. This peninsula doesn’t have that much to offer in terms of restaurants, shopping - but it does have fishing charters and the derby board looked really good this year with a lot of fish. Ocean Shores and Longbeach have more to offer in this regard. The 4 stars is because there is no place to wait if you come early and we had to drive to Westport and hang out for two hours. So try not to show up to exactly your check-in time.Usually most of the state parks have some kind of day use parking. It would be nice if the state did something for this park because it’s busy and drive times from the region can vary greatly. Also the wood was entirely too expensive $7 for 4-5 pieces … better to get it right next door - 20 pieces $10.00. It makes no sense to haul wood here. There is plenty local cheap.I‘m not to excited to come back but enjoyed my time here.

This is a great State park, we look forward to coming back in the summer months. We camped in one of the many great yurts over the New Year's holiday, and fully enjoyed getting away from the house, even tho it rained most of the time. The yurt was clean and dry, they even had the heater on when we arrived! The beds are comfortable enough, and our 7 year old loved sleeping on the big top bunkbed. And the bathrooms were well maintained during our 3 night stay. One warning to mention, being there during the rainy season, we noticed quite a few campsites were completely flooded. There were 2 large ponds in our site, but luckily they were off to the sides. Just something you might want to call to check on before you go, if it's been rainy (or is predicted to be rainy while you're there.)

Beautiful, soft sand beach off the beaten path. Close to ocean shores but far enough that it’s not as disturbed. Tons of unbroken sand dollars, we camped one night and had the beach to ourselves basically. Look up and you can see the Milky Way and so many stars ✨

We enjoy checking out the National State Parks all around. It’s peaceful, beautiful and while I was here seemed quiet. They have different camp sites to choose from and different beach accesses to pick a trail. Beautiful colorful wild flowers to enjoy. My dog and I really enjoyed the trail and seemed easy to find our way back. The sounds of the wildlife and the ocean were pleasing to see and hear. I saw so many dragonflies while on the trail to the beach. They were beside me and above me. I recommend this National State Park to come and camp with your family and friends. A lot of the spots had fire pits but there is a burn ban right now so fires of any kind are prohibited. No bbq or camp fires at nighttime. Hope you all enjoy your stay here.

I sure enjoyed my time here. The bathrooms are very clean and plenty of room for a disabled person to use. You can drive right down onto the beach or walk. The surf is very powerful and there is plenty of seagulls to enjoy. A fun day.
