I'm not sure how this place has high reviews! Please read and save yourself a lot of disappointment. The photos are misleading. I booked 2 nights for my family at one of the "family" cabins over spring break. It was advertised as "beachfront". The cabins are certainly not beachfront. They are highway-front. But that would have been OK if the cabin wasn't in such rough shape: Broken windows, the ones not broken were fogged up to the point where you couldn't see outside. The bug screens all ripped. Outside the entry was dirty and neglected. Stains all over the cabin (exterior) walls. No place to sit outside. It was advertised as a 6 person sleeper. They consider a tiny, slotted, sandy and unpleasant futon a bed for two! Maybe 3 feet wide. There was no place to sit and no table in the "family cabin".The playground outside is unsafe and falling apart. I ensured that our kids didn't go near it. This should be decommissioned. After about 45 minutes of trying to convince ourselves that this is going to be OK for 2 days, we packed our bags and left. Kate who was running the front desk was kind enough to understand our concerns and refund us. Thank you for that!We felt fortunate to have not stayed for those two days.

My Daughter and I stayed here for the weekend! What an awesome cabin! Beds were super comfortable. Very clean. And the bathroom towels were soooo fluffy and soft! As with most beach cabins the bathroom was small. But not so small that you can’t close the door! That was a silly important factor for me!Nearby activities: The beach and casino are great ways to spend your time here!

We love this place; the staff is always so nice and helpful!!!Our small group of ladies converged upon Arena del Mar for a weekend of fun and the 30th Cranberry Festival! We 13 rented rooms and a cottage, everything was wonderful! The cute beach theme was everywhere! Each unit was clean and well stocked. The largest room, with a full size kitchen, we used as a place to snack and play games, we had so much fun!

My husband and I came here for our 40th anniversary. Arena Del Mar exceeded our expectations. It was clean and well-maintained without smelling like chemicals or perfume. It had a comfy bed and chairs, fireplace, kitchen with utensils, plates and cooking pots. It even has a cleaning station to clean your clams outside the room. It has a jacuzzi tub and beautiful private balcony with a nice view. We definitely will be staying here again!

The bigger cabins are nice and cozy. Smaller ones need new windows, but still cozy. I understand given location & seasonal traffic is short. Funds are limited. Motel in back does the job just fine. It's no Hampton, but if you're out here. You're probably here to fish or clam dig as myself. I give 4*'s knowing all these variables. I regularly stay here. Price is good. location is good.Nearby activities: A few minute drive from main town & marina & if your clam digging. Beach access is less then a 2 minute drive. Or you can walk straight out the back & there you are...

From the road as we turned into the driveway, the motel looked kind of rundown. We had to ring the bell before someone came to the check-in window. The process was quick and friendly. As we drove in to the two-story building where our room was, we passed by some cabins. I was glad we got the room instead because the cabins didn’t have ocean view. Once in the second-story room, we were pleasantly surprised by the sea-themed decors and, through the bay window and balcony, the million-dollar view of the sun beginning to set into the ocean. The kitchenette even has a small dishwasher. The medium sized refrigerator was ample enough for us, especially the big top freezer. There were some ustensiles in the drawer. The fireplace was for wood burning only, not gaz, so we didn’t use it or had to use it. The bathroom even has a jacuzzi bathtub that I tried. It was clean and functional. We opened the bottom of the window to let the fresh air in. We didn’t walk down to the beach but sat in the balcony to look at the sun going, going, gone.

As far as looks go, it is gorgeous. But honestly it was far from a wonderful experience. There was sand inside the beds when we got there. It was late in the day and we were tired of traveling, so we did not bring the sand in. No ac and it was muggy so it wasn't very comfortable. One of the screens on the window was bent inside while the other was straight up torn or cut, so any air we got was extremely limited. (A fan would be nice to help the air at least move around.) There was spider webs in the corners, some dried blood on the sheets (hydrogen peroxide should clean that up), and the bathroom fan wasn't working properly, so the steam from a single shower actually set the smoke detector off, and the cabanas are not handicap accessible/ friendly. I really don't want to be a negative Nancy, but that's my memory. Our room didn't have a kitchenette, but my brother in laws room did. Not sure what to make of that, but there ya go. I'm not sure I would visit again, especially with the lack of any stores for groceries or nearby restaurants. Location is not very good for a vacation cabana.

When it comes to hotels, it's all about the view and the bed. This review is about the 2nd story hotel room with an amazing view, the best I have seen on the WA coast with the beach a short walk away. The king bed was extremely plush and comfortable. Because this is an older bldg, the bathroom is small but does have a jacuzzi tub. The toilet is too low to the floor for those with mobility issues or those who are tall. The rooms have been updated with luxury vinyl planking and 70" TV. Our room had a comfortable modern leather sofa also and a table with chairs.Safety: The railing on the balcony was substantial and felt safe.

Had a few issues when we first checked in but were remedied immediately. We rented the 2 bedroom cabin with kitchen for 4 adults and 1 little dog. The bunk beds were pretty damn comfortable actually nice and super soft mattresses. The bathroom has a shower but not great for tall people or large people because of its size which is not any bigger than something you would find in a small compact trailer but there was an abundance of hot water. The kitchen was pretty decent and equipped with basic needs but I suggest bringing your own pans to use because the ones provided have seen better days but I expected that because I'm sure guests really don't care for other people's stuff as well as their own. I myself brought a fry pan and a few cooking pots to use. A bonus was having a dishwasher in the cabin. If you are staying at the cabins there is a indoor cleaning station onsite to use that has a couple sinks and a propane cooker with a big pot to clean your cat h of the day whether it's clams or fish. There is a community fire pit on location which we made use of (bring your own wood or purchase at several places nearby) we brought plenty of wood to last us the 4 days we were there. At the fire pit there are some Adirondack chairs to sit in while you enjoy a quiet evening with family and friends. Sitting next to the fire pit area is a kids play area that has seen better days but no big deal to us we don't have children to entertain. But there are lots of adults that had been staying there with their 4 legged pets walking by after enjoying the beach which is a short walk away. Over all I'd say this is a nice quiet place to stay and enjoy some great quiet time whether it's a solo get away or time with family friends. Oh and one of the more affordable places in the Westport Grays harbor location.Nearby activities: Tokeland hotel is a short drive for a delicious meal but at a higher price but worth it. The Local Tavern is also really close for a great meal or if you wander in Westport I suggest you try out the King Tide the food is wonderful with big proportions.

This place was amazing! We had the beach view room and its was perfect. It was a minute walk from the beach. The room was clean and very inviting. All kitchen items that you might need was there. Things worked no complaints at all. The bed was comfy, the bathroom very nice, and the big windows let in so much light. It was a joy to stay there. I definitely didn't want to leave.

Holy smokes! What a great find! The staff are super friendly! Don’t be like me and be sure to bring your mask out of curtsey of the staff (sorry I forgot mine). The beachfront apartments are well-appointed with comfy bed and couch. I enjoyed being able to access the beach a few steps away. Such a glorious place with open sky and the sound of the waves (best sleep ever). Thank you so much for hosting.

Really pretty place and walking distance to the beach!Really cozy and clean beds, bathrooms, and everything. Well kept rooms, cute woodsy decor.Huge TV in our room! The only thing this place could use is an AC unit and the power went out around 11:30 pm when we were watching a movie. The whole property was dark but it didn’t seem to bother anyone but us.Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

A must stay for anyone who needs a break. Beautiful cozy rooms near and on the beach with a wonderful staff. This was not a planned stay, but a last minute decision and we left feeling so relaxed.Prices were very fair and matched with each room and cabin. We stayed at the cabins that were not directly on the beach but the short beautiful walk underneath the curved trees with the windy road was surreal.Cannot wait to come back!

What an awesome little spot. Loved our little beach bungalow and the short walk to the beach! The staff were amazing and I literally mean it, when we took a short trip to the store we left our usually well behaved dogs in the room. While we were gone the dogs conspired to escape but they were quickly rounded up and put safely back in our room! Thanks again guys and we will definitely be back.

I’m so excited I get to be the first to review Arena Del Mar! I’ve been coming here for some time but, when it was called the Walsh Motel. New ownership, same fantastic staff. The rooms have been updated with a tasteful beach theme. Plenty of towels, they hit the little details, it’s just a fantastic place to go. Wonderful location, the cranberry coast is relaxing and laid back and this is a gem in it. Family and pet friendly.

Great rooms, comfy beds, full kitchens, small bathroom but manageable. The cottages were close to the beach definitely walking distance. I also liked the fire pits and little outdoor space for activities.Walkability: Probably within a mile or so from the beach. Wi-fi: Wifi is slow but available. I had service so didn't use it much.Noteworthy details: Beds/mattresses were super fluffy. Pillows were almost too fluffy, but I slept great!

Cabin was nice enough but had a few quirks that we weren't anticipating. There's no AC at all which was a shock to us. The cabins get very stuffy and humid quickly and the entire wall of windows facing west doesn't help with the heat. Luckily we brought a small fan with us on a whim but I would recommend bringing a window fan to help air it out overnight. Beds were very old and squeaked every time you moved. Between the heat and the bed, we didn't sleep very well. The wifi was painfully slow and dropped off frequently, it would be better to advertise that there's no wifi at all. Staff was friendly, and location was great. Overall it was okay-ish but we don't plan to stay here again.
