This Walgreens management and their supervisor employee scheduling is absolutely horrible. They run with basically one or two people at night after time you go in and there's no one at the register because they have the poor person actually out there stalking or taking care of other things instead of just being in the front. After talking to the girl that used to work there they're on the job training is absolutely horrendous. I need something from a pharmacy or that like you're better off going to Target or somewhere.

My partner and I scheduled our updated COVID-19 booster and flu vaccine at this location because it was the closest location offering the Pfizer option, to get this option we had to pay a bridge toll. They schedule vaccines appointments in 15 minute increments. I went in and received my vaccines without much hassle. My partner then went in for his scheduled appointment only to wait for 40 minutes before returning to the counter to ask how much longer his wait would be, at which point he was informed that they were running behind and told that he would need to reschedule as we had another appointment and had to leave by a certain time. The other appointment was scheduled for an hour and a half after his vaccine appointment. As a result we had to find another Walgreens offering the Pfizer vaccine option and schedule an appointment there for later that day. This Walgreens wasted 2+ hours of our time, a bridge toll, and the gas to go to another location for my partner to get his vaccines.

They advertise 1 hr delivery. I was sick and didn't feel like going out so placed an order. First I was notified the order would be delivered an hour and a half later than it was supposed to be per the promise, then I never got it. I called to check on the order and was told it was cancelled, "probably because there were not enough drivers". I asked why I was not notified and they had no answer, weren't even sure that was the reason.

Not sure why this Walgreens has such a bad rating 😭 I had a 10/10 experience with the pharmacy here. Pharmacy closes at 8pm, & I arrived at 7:30pm to get a refill for a prescription. The order hadn’t gone through in the system, but the pharmacist was able to look in my prescription history and saw I had 1 refill remaining so she refilled it immediately. Only waited 5 minutes for it to be ready. Awesome and speedy customer service, and the pharmacist was super kind & helped to make sure I got the best price. This Walgreens is also massive, super clean, and right next to a Costco. What more could you want? Would highly recommend refilling your prescriptions here.

I've always had good experiences here, the people are surprisingly helpful and friendly. I got lots of pics printed here, and my gripes lay only with the Walgreens app and how ridiculously slow it runs on my (old) Android phone.

I am really happy with this local walgreens here in Gig Harbor.Although they are understaffed and super busy, the pharmacy and front end store staff are always kind and respectful. When you are in need of immediate medication like antibiotics or life saving medication, they are sure to do their best. Please remember to be patient and kind in return as this can be such a busy place. Keep up the great customer service.

Nobody seems to answer pharmacy phones. Always on hold for 30+ minutes and no answer. App notifies me that there's an issue with my medication pickup and to call the local store but can't seem to get in touch with anyone. Awful customer service.Hold music is monotonous and gets interrupted by a notification about every 10 seconds. Unnecessarily grating. Normally I wouldn't care but when I've spent 2+ hours on hold over the past week I've started feeling very strongly about it.This Walgreens needs to get their act together.The store inside is fine I guess.

How come they received my prescription at about 2:30 or 3:00. and it is not ready untill 5:56 they sent me a msg that my prescription is ready for pick up 😡😡😡The pharmacy is closing at 6:00 and the situation now that I have Flu type A and narrowing in my airway , I am coughing and can't breath well. And I can't take my medicine because they sent me it is ready before closing by 4 minutes only.. how I gonna sleep today with that horrible cough 😡😡😡😡😡

I wrote a lengthy explanation as to why my COVID test experience here was so bad, but I'm trying to be helpful and not rude so I will just say the facts: the website only lets you schedule 24 hours in advance, the test is $130, I waited a half hour in my car at the drive through to get my test despite having an appointment, they could not email my results to me since their system was down but didn't see fit to call me so I didn't find out until 7 hours later when I finally called and asked, they don't know what type of NAAT test they administer so it is difficult if you're using this for international travel, and they were very rude to me on the phone. It truly shows how difficult a simple experience can be when there is zero customer service involved.

Very friendly and helpful staff while on the store. When I got to my car I was locked out. As I was calling AAA my car flashed and beeped - they found my keys that I had dropped unbeknownst! Thank you!

Don't bother filling out any forms on line. You'll have to do it again on paper when you get there. They told us that the website doesn't save any of that.Nowhere in the appointment making process did it say which insurance plans they take or don't so when we showed up we couldn't get our flu shots. Had an appointment for 5:30, arrived 20 minutes early and at 5:40 there are still several people in line ahead of us for COVID shots. They have been waiting for 50 min even though they had appointments.Back to RiteAid where we get taken care of MUCH better.

We called to ask a question about passport photos. We wanted to verify that they do them and how much they charge. The associate who answered sounded annoyed on the phone when we asked if they do the photos. She did tell us where to go in the store to have them done which we appreciate. But the attitude wasn't needed. Now we're starting to see why this store has such low reviews. Please do better.

Not what I expected from a pharmacy. Couldn’t locate my insurance info on their computer. Suggested I come back in a day or 2. (I Needed medicine asap). Everyone including pharmacist max stressed out and angry prior to me. Then upper management team really needs to work on retention, training and providing employees what they need to help customers. Sad part is that this location is basically next to a new urgent care walk in clinic. Hence why I went there. I won’t anymore..no problem solvers there or leadership or happy working environment. The vibe his horrible. You’ll waste you time going there.

Very poorly run pharmacy, not enough staff, sometimes only one pharmacist to fill hundreds of prescriptions. Big turnover, which is not a surprise. Once they were so behind, I had to get my doctor to send my prescription to another pharmacy so I'd have the meds on time. The store manager reently told me the pharmacy can have hundreds of people on hold. The recording says there are three people ahead of you, but in fact it could be hours of people waiting for their call to be answered. The whole situation is very bad, I advise in the strongest terms to not sign up for any plan with this location or the one in Port Orchard, they both have terrible reviews. Find another pharmacy.

The pharmacy staff is deliberately not running insurance plans at the Gig Harbor location. For months I've been told my insurance won't go through and told to use Good RX coupons. I've called my insurance repeatedly to find out there's no issue, only to go back to Walgreens pharmacy and be told my insurance isn't accepting responsibility. Either this is laziness on part of the Walgreens pharmacy staff or something more suspicious is going on and this pharmacy needs to be investigated. Rite Aid has better hours, is more professional and my prescriptions and insurance transferred easily.

This pharmacy is HORRIBLE!!! They consistently need DAYS to transfer and/or fill prescriptions. The staff is mostly untrained and they ALWAYS seem confused on filling prescriptions that I have repeatedly filled at other locations. No one can seem to answer questions and they never have what I need as a type 1 diabetic in stock. DO NOT RELY ON THIS LOCATION IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF A QUICK PRESCRIPTION!.

The pharmacy consistently cancels my prescription orders without notice, fails to apply copay cards on record, and features long in-person and drive-thru wait times. They are virtually inaccessible by phone. Most recently, I spent 25 minutes on hold waiting to reach someone, only to have their system time out and drop my call before anyone picked up.

We have been using Walgreens for a few years (coming over from Rite Aid) due to insurance changes. Since the prescriptions were moved over to Walgreens, it’s been nothing but a hassle. Long wait times, out of stock medications, not filling multiple medications at a time and the last straw for us was closing the pharmacy at 6pm for those of us that work. I tried calling and was on hold for over an hour (I live 15 min away) and decided to call Safeway to ask about their hours and transferring our meds and they answered within 2 min. Finally got my prescriptions transferred over to Safeway and they filled my prescription within mins. They are also open until 9pm.My guess is this is a management issue. I don’t think the pharmacist knows how to properly run a pharmacy. I always felt bad for the staff as you could tell they are doing their best but this pharmacy really needs an overhaul on how to run a pharmacy.

Tried to make a simple call to the pharmacy to update my insurance information and they had me on hold for over an hour - when I got to the front of the line, the call disconnected. I tried again, this time on hold for a half an hour - the call disconnected. Tried a third time, on hold another half hour, same thing happened. I have a new phone and great cell service, this Walgreens just refuses to help their customers. When I finally did get a hold of them, the employee was extremely rude and unhelpful and told me that they could not help me on the phone and that I would have to come in to the store. I am simply trying to update my insurance info so that I can get more medication for MY DIABETES. Go ANYWHERE else, these employees are a joke

Incompetent pharmacy staff. I had a medication for over 4 days of wait. Just one pill. When I called to the pharmacy they had me on hold for 30 plus minutes and the pharmacist was EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Plus hung up on me. I switched my prescription to Costco of course. This place is horrible would not recommend to anyone.

Came in for a Covid test and they asked for a confirmation code that was not sent to me or included in the 2 confirmation emails. Pharmacy staff were super rude. We speak through a phone in the pharmacy drive-though and they hung up the phone so I couldn’t speak to them to figure out how to get my test results. They acted like it’s all my fault for not receiving the confirmation code, now I may or may not get results. They would not confirm. They did nothing to help solve the issue. Refused to let me speak with a manager.

Do NOT put your health in Walgreens hands. Not only is this location horrendously slow, they engage in deceptive practices with respect to manufacturer co-pay coupons and are extremely negligent with respect to customer care. As someone with a severe auto-immune condition, I do not trust them and actively feel put in danger by their ill-functioning operation.

I've stuck with Walgreens as my pharmacy despite their staff shortages for too many years and I'm afraid I can't do it any longer. They're just not getting their act together and improving their service. It's so frustrating and unfortunate.
