We had heard about this place and decided to drive up to try it out for my birthday. I was not disappointed, the burgers were awesome. Mine had pastrami, coleslaw, and Russian dressing. The pastrami was nice and tender also not overly salty like pastrami can get fairly easily. The coleslaw had a well balanced sauce and the cabbage had a nice crunch without being tough. The hamburger patty was nice and juicy. The bun was even nice.The onion rings were some of the best I have personally come across. They had a nice light crispy batter and the onion was perfectly cooked.My wife got fries with her burger, they were also well done. The rosemary in the fries was a nice touch that added a subtle flavor.The burgers are a bit messy to eat but definitely worth it.One thing to consider if you're driving anything very large is they do have a fairly small and tight parking lot.

Loved it!! 😍 my husband and I really enjoyed our burgers! I got the bacon and cheese he got the one with slaw. We have not enjoyed a burger this much in a long time!Prices are reasonable too!

What a gem of a place! Best burger we've had in years. I used to work at a restaurant that had gourmet burgers, but they have strayed away from being true gourmet burgers.The Gourmet Burger Shop did not disappoint. I had the Pastrami and Swiss burger that had ample amount of pastrami on a burger with Swiss cheese, slaw and Russian dressing, it was out of this world!!!Gig Harbor is a wonderful place to visit and a stop at this little restaurant will help make your visit that much more memorable

I would say the food was good not great! Cashier was friendly but very quiet which is fine. Overpriced but so is everything in GH. Not a ton of seating. 80$ for two adults and 3 kids is a lot for a burger place. Especially for a plain kids hot dog. Should go to Costco. Shoestring fries. Burger was average size stacked to the ceiling with condiments. Meat was tasty enough.

Great hamburgers very filling and flavorful there is barely any parking so be ready for that. Park in the front or back that's it. My favorite restaurant in the world is culvers I'm trying to find my culvers equivalent here in washington although this was nothing like culvers it was very good and I'll be coming back. Great experience make sure to get the fry sauce for you fries!

This is a local gourmet burger shop 5 minutes from my house I have only eaten here a handful of times over the past 10 years but my daughter wanted to go by here the other day so we decided to give it another go. It seats inside about 4 to 6 tables. It's very cozy and comfortable a nice little place to sit inside and eat plus there's an outside patio or you can just grab your food and go. Doesn't have a huge parking lot but there is enough for maybe 10 to 12 vehicles. But it's a very cool place in downtown Gig Harbor the food was good that we had we had absolutely no complaints I would definitely recommend it

Got the bacon-burger lunch special with garlic seasoned shoestring fries!!We had their specialty bottled sodas which were a nice change of pace.It came to $34.00. For Gig Harbor, that’s the expected rate. We certainly enjoyed the food and will be back.Seating is limited so a planned romantic take out picnic to the park across the street would be cool.

This restaurant that we drove to was really one of the best I’ve ever been.Starting with great customer service!!Loved the vibe and the cozy place.. located in a really nice area..the food was so good! We ordered All American burger and Barbecue burger with onion rings and fries! It was so delicious and highly recommended! Can’t wait to go back again :)

Me and my family love coming here. I have never had a bad experience. Food is always amazing. It’s so delicious. Always clean . It hits the spot every time, me and my family leave here satisfied.My daughter does have some special needs and this is the place where she feels the most comfortable so that says a lot about this place! The environment is amazing. The workers are lovely.Vegetarian options: There is some vegetarian options and if you ask, they Substitute .

Great little burger spot with shoestring fries that are a favorite for my family. My only beef, pardon the pun, is that I wish they really had a good vegetarian burger. They make one with potato, which is tasty, but would love something a little more nutritious, e.g., a black bean burger, or some such thing.But we love the spot, and go frequentlyParking can be a little tough on the weekend, but you can park across the street on the street and walk over. There are just a few parking spots behind the restaurant, but also solvable.

Still tastes just as AMAZING as it did like 10 years ago when they first opened! Best burger place on the peninsula hands down - and gives any burger place a run for its money without a doubt. Delicious burgers, shoestring fries, lots of vintage soda to choose from, and drool worthy shakes. Always busy , always delicious, always worth the wait. I come back here any chance I get when I’m in back on the west side!

Went here for dinner. Parking was not made clear. How was I supposed to know the parking lot was behind the building?!? Anyways, we went inside and they didn’t have any French fries. Not a big deal except the fact we had to pay full price for something they didn’t have available. We ordered and the guy told us it would take 20 minutes. We ended up waiting more than 40 minutes for 2 burgers and we had to wait another 10 minutes for 2 milkshakes. I ordered a chocolate milkshake. The taste was so weak on it I thought it was vanilla. Very inefficient, would not recommend.

Really love their burgers, service, and prices. Knocked off one star because the last 2 times we were there, the fries tasted a bit overfried. I don't eat beef so having a turkey burger option is a huge plus for me AND it's delicious!!!Vegetarian options: Potato burger

They have a vegetarian burger option and a dog friendly patio!The vegetarian burger is unique. Fried potato, pesto, goat cheese and greens. The pesto quickly saturated the bun useless, but it had good flavor. Cool idea for a veggie burger; its a thinly sliced fried potato in lieu of a veggie patty. Could be interesting to make a classic burger riff with the potato ‘patty’…drop the pesto and goat cheese and add red onion, cheddar cheese, tomato, greens, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Going to request this variation when we’re back in Gig Harbor.They nailed the onion rings. Right batter and time in the fryer. They’d probably make an amazing fish and chips with the batter and frying skill.

Awesome place. Unique burgers that are actually really well put together and the ingredients compliment each other. Huge drink & classic bottled soda collection. Fries are 10/10.p.s. whoever was working the night of October 21st was great! Great all around personality and very much so enjoyed visiting.

On a whim we decided to go here instead a fast foot joint and I’m glad we did! What a cool place in an awesome location. Plus the food is super tasty and was cooked crazy fast! They also have a fun selection of glass bottle drinks (non-alcoholic) that my kids loved. We will for sure be coming back here in the future!

In the Movie "For Grace" which follows Chef Duffy around making his Michelin Star restaurant, there is a scene where they are picking out tables and chairs for the dining space. One of my favorite lines describes how everything needs to compliment the dining experience and once the guest begins noting anything that doesn't have to do with the meal, the meal is ruined. This was like eating at a table where you constantly slammed your knee into the legs.We got the gorgonzola burger and a potato burger. The actual meat was pretty tasty and well seasoned. The toppings were fresh. This is the end of the good.The dining space is used for storage of sodas which isn't attractive. The potato bun wasn't toasted. The potato wasn't like a latka or grated; it's a thick slice of fried potato. The toppings (while fresh) just slid off and rendered themselves useless.The worst was the fries. They just horrible and ultra thin and impossible to eat. I don't know who likes this. Thinner than the lettering on my diet coke. Overall the meal was like 35 dollars.I don't know. Maybe it's good for a small town

This place is a destination spot, they deserve every bit of that 5*. I'll drive an hour out of my way for these burgers, and the SHOESTRING fries! Exquisite selection of root beer, and beer on tap if that's your thing. Service is top notch don't ever be hesitant to ask a question, because the staff has your back. Just like I'll be coming back time and time again!

The burger was pretty good, when I went the fryer was down but there wasn't a lot of space to eat inside. I will try it again when the fryer is back up because the burger was good and from what I've heard the onion rings are very good there.The milkshake was a little underwhelming, the flavor was good but the consistency wasn't what you'd want from a shake. It wasn't quite icy but it wasn't creamy either. Not sure if that was a one-off but I'll be back for those burgers hope the other things can catch up to how good the burgers were.Just a note, the outside does have a nice view so that can be a nice place to eat( that's what I did).

I rarely write reviews, but I loved everything about this place. Cashier- wish I knew your name, but you were very sweet and seriously thank you. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a burger shop I can actually say I like.Yes it’s small, but that’s my vibe.Tomato & fresh mozzarella burger w/ beer battered onion rings and a root-beer float; how could I complain?
