The person that helped us out – she is awesome. She helped us select a hamster for our kids, educated us on how to socialize the little guy, told us how to feed it, clean the cage, and keep it's teeth healthy. She was very realistic and honest, without making us feel stressed or hassled. It was a normal and pleasant conversation that included my kids, and made them feel educated and excited to take responsibility for a new pet. Great experience! Do not buy any toys from Petco. They are garbage. This petco tennis ball was defleeced in under an hour by an 8 week old puppy. Horrible tummyache until he finally puked it up. Also, don't buy Dreambone treats. They made all 5 of our dogs vomit.

I always bring Myster with me when I go in to pick up his food. He is well behaved, and the staff are always friendly, aware of his size, breed, and courteous. I had asked one staff member where his brand of dog food (Fat Dogs) was located as we couldn't find it, and she quickly walked toward us to take us down another row, at which point he started barking at her as if to say 'not so fast'. I did apologize for his barking at her, explaining that to him, she rushed up to us, and he was protecting without being aggressive. She didn't acknowledge, just shied away from us the rest of the time in the store. The rest of our visit to this location was great. He met another dog, other customers who asked to pet him, commented on how well behaved he was.I have observed that most of the staff approach customers slowly when they have their pets with them, no matter the size or breed. I'm sure she didn't mean any harm as she was busy, and I hope she is fine, but that she will think twice before approaching someone else in a hurry. Even small dogs protect their owners.Thank you, I love shopping at this Petco.

We took our dog here for grooming. He isn’t an aggressive dog and has never bit anyone in his life. Petco made him so nervous and anxious and then stopped his grooming when they claimed he bit them. I wouldn’t go here again. They don’t know how to calmly care for dogs.

I have 2 dogs I am bringing here for nail trims now that I am disabled and unable to do it myself. One of my dogs is pretty friendly, but my other dog is anxious and fearful. Despite intensive training, conditioning, and even medication, my 3 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever is still afraid of people—especially men. The team here were very patient and understanding with my dog, even when she had a “moment” and snarled/lunged at the male groomer. I was very impressed by how calm he was after her reaction and he didn’t back down. He gave her cookies and they immediately became friends. He was able to lead her into the grooming area and lift her onto the table. I was astonished! Another groomer kept her distracted with cookies and a deep tissue head massage. My nervous dog nearly fell asleep and even accepted a kiss from the groomer. I’m not a crier- but I almost burst into tears when I watched that happen. I really expected to be sent away but that was not the case. Thank you team for being so gentle and going so slow with my girl to gain her trust. She had a hard early life. We are now going to be coming in regular for nails every 4 weeks! Also- happy they used a rotary file because the click of nail clippers can be very triggering for both my dogs. They got their nails so short!

I have a pickie cat. I have spent hundreds on food where it goes untouched. Thankfully PETCO will exchange or refund if you take the purchase back. I have discovered the best tasty food that satisfies and is healthy for an outdoor rescue fur boy that won't go for all the filler foods. A wise cat will have taste and nutrition to keep that purrfect healthy strut maintained on a daily routine. Bowl licking good down to the fine morsel. Oh, his fav is Science Diet chicken entree.

Aidyn did a great job grooming our shepherd-poodle mix yesterday. She did her best to accomodate some of our haircut "style" requests, and called during the haircut to let us know she had to make an unexpected change to our original request. When I went to pick up our pooch, she was genuinely concerned about our satisfaction with the services that she/Petco grooming provided. I would not hesitate to bring my Pup here for grooming again.

Love this place but it would be nice if they didn’t close at 6 due to weather when there is no bad weather …spend my whole day at work to be told I can’t shop because they are closing … at 6……kind of sad I can’t get my dogs food ..Oh well .

Collyn is a terrific groomer and does a great job with my 60 pound Sheepadoodle.Collyn put my dog at ease with his calm and friendly demeanor. He takes the time to listen to your specific requests, and he works hard to get the cut just right. He even asks about your dog's personality and quirks to adjust his approach accordingly.And the results? My Sheepadoodle always comes out looking adorable. Collyn has a real eye for detail, leaving his fur perfectly sculpted and incredibly soft.But beyond the aesthetics, Collyn genuinely cares about the well-being of your furry friend. He makes sure the grooming process is comfortable and stress-free. He's gentle, patient, and even throws in some extra belly rubs for good measure.

I went in to Petco because I had gotten a new-to-me doggy who is 6. I'm a new dog mom and needed some things. Like a crate for my car to make transport safer.Honestly I had thought I typed in Pet Smart into Google Maps, but oops pulled up to Petco. It was OK. I was feeling either one would be similar costs.Now I kind of don't mind - but kind of at the same time I do care - that nobody offered to help me. I clearly looked lost in the doggy section. I managed to find a crate and figured out the proper size crate pad all by myself after any 5 minutes. Then picked out a stress stuffy and a fetch toy. During this time several store employees had passed me by.The first man at the counter looked at me carrying this big heavy thing (crate in a box) to the counter. I guess I look strong even though I feel I looked like I was struggling. But he looked at me like he was very uninterested and walked away stating the other woman would help me. I believe he was a cashier as he had just finished with another customer as I was walking up. But he didn't offer to help me with this heavy item. Not trying to judge, he may have been in need of a break.The woman who did my check out offered their membership card. I let her tell me all about it after she said it's not a credit card. But you have to pay a monthly fee for it. Some weird $20 per month but you get $15 back, which seems very odd. I told her I don't shop there enough for that. So she finished up. And did not ask if I needed any help out.Just saying, at Pet Smart, I always have several people ask me if I need assistance especially if I am looking like I need assistance. And the cashiers at Pet Smart ask if I need help out unless it's just a small item. AND there is no monthly fee for their rewards/membership thing.They had a bunch of things/products. But I am unsure if I want to go back. Which means I probably won't. First impressions mean a lot!Anyway I added a picture of the things I got.

It was a very well kept store I don't remember seeing anything out of place which as a former retail worker I am amazed by. They seemed to have a lot in stock supply wise, but animal wise they didn't really have much. It said new animals were coming soon though so they might have gotten more by now.

This location has puppy classes and grooming. They also carry supplies for dogs, birds, cats and reptiles. While it's not the biggest pet store I always find what I need. They also have a fridge with raw pet food. They keep items well stocked and the staff is always friendly at this location. Right next to Cushman trail and home depot so lots of pet friendly spots next to each other.

Was looking for a nursing bottle for an orphaned baby animal. Got that, plus a tiny stuffed animal for him to snuggle with. (Which he loved immediately even with eyes still closed) picked up kritter kare explorer tunnels for my sons mouse habitat that was in the clearance bin for 75% off, and some salmon and shrimp treat mixers for the cat, that were just randomly secretly unannounced on sale also for 75% less than usual. I spent less than 8.00 for brand new, unopened, undamaged items that were high quality and usually more than I could afford, but if you take the time to stop in occasionally, there's always a good deal going on or merchandise you get for pennies, simply because they have to rotate inventories to allow for new items, promotions, and seasonal stock. Plus you get to look at fish and mice And ferrets etc. Like a zoo but no charge. 😀 Friendly knowledgeable staff that always seem happy to see you and ready to help any way they can.

Most of my experience with this branch of petco has been with their aquatics department. Their fish are often sick or unavailable. My recent experience was when they didn't adequately rectify a labeling problem that caused an elderly woman to be overcharged and not receive the proper fish. This fish is a sarasa comet but it was sold as a butterfly koi with two others that were correct.
