I work here as of 10-6-23. Tired of doing the Seattle commute, I applied here through indeed.This job is not for the faint of heart. Poop scooping & TONS of mopping. The dogs keep you on your toes with feeding times, making sure meds are given at appropriate times & dosages. Making sure water bowls are cleaned & fresh every hour. Making sure dogs aren't resource guarding their favorite staff person or toy. You have to really enjoy dogs to put in the hard work. We do a thorough job of disinfecting several times a day and have had no kennel cough outbreaks since working here.Overnight dogs are sometimes here for several days to several weeks. We all care for them like our own and give them the extra care & cuddles to feel at home.So many of us fall in love with these dogs. Despite the stress that comes with any job it's the dogs that keep me coming back to work here day after day.We don't use kennels and there is a staff person that sleeps with the dogs overnight. I love that!

I use both the our best friend doggie day care locations. The gig harbor and the purdy one. What can I say, my dog gets excited every time we get near. Maybe Filbert should write this review!

my family has been sending their dog here for years and were not notified that kennel cough was going around. Their dog now has a terrible cough and they had to visit the vet. Vet bills aren’t cheap and so I think some communication about the illness should have happened to their customers.

My dog loves to go here. The staff are super with him. I love that he is free to roam and play. Our boy has never been in a crate and they don't kennel the dogs here. They have separate arwas for large and small dogs, but our sweetie loves to be with the big guys. I would recommend this place if you're dog is free range,lol.

They are great with our large dog and small one. Our small dog has some traumas and they are so caring with him. Will be using them from now on for times when we can travel with our dogs. The dogs love the doggy daycare too. They come home exhausted and happy.Nice people that work there and are very flexible with us. Definitely a good choice for daycare or boarding.

Love Doggie Daycare. They help us and our three dogs of all different sizes keep them active and playing when we are at work/unable to get them out! Very friendly, fair priced, and happy to accommodate long days and last minute requests. Love the staff here!

We have been taking our dog to Our Best Friends since he was 6 months old and it's been one of the BEST decisions we could have made for him. He was/is a bit on the shy side and they were patient with introducing him on his terms. He LOVES going now and we love them. Highly recommend.

We have now brought our dog here for 6 years and have loved every experience. Cheryl is the sweetest lady and always goes the extra mile to make sure our Wilson is comfortable and happy, including coming out to our house to do a haircut.

I love Our Best Friend, but more importantly my Gracie loves going. I just picked her up after 3 long weeks and everyone was wonderful with her. I received pictures, I was sent updates and all my personal (aka special) requests were met. I wouldn't consider leaving her anywhere else. Gracie did wonderfully. I love that there were no kennels, she actually slept under the covers with the overnight people, she had the opportunity to play with other dogs and still had plenty of individual tlc. Thank you Janice, Joyce and all for taking such great care of my precious Gracie. You've treated her as one of your own and I'm truly grateful!

Our Penny went here for 8 months every weekday until I retired. Best way for her to love other dogs. We also took her through training here and it was awesome! They really care!

Our dog is so excited to get to Our Best Friend that he can hardly wait to get out of the car when we pull up. As soon as they take him through the door, it’s as if I don’t exist anymore. Whether he spends a half day or whole day, he is exhausted when he gets home. We felt comfortable about OBF right away because they screen the dogs to make sure they will do okay with other dogs. The other reason we feel comfortable is based on the number of people that work there on a regular basis. They obviously get to know the dogs and that means the dogs get better care. Finally, during the “Snowmageddon” of 2019, our dog was being boarded while we traveled. We didn’t have to worry one bit about him knowing that he was being properly cared for even in a tough situation.

My dog's favorite daycare. The only one she'll happily leave me behind for. :) They have web cameras so you can check in on your pup from home. They have a groomer there a few days a week if you need those services. We get my dog's nails clipped here for $10. I like that the dogs are allowed to play together for most of their stay, and that they always have someone there managing the dog pack. It is the most expensive doggie day care in the area though. Look for their "buy 2, get 1 free" coupons in the Community Shopper.

The groomer, Sheryl, at the Purdy location puts out show quality groomed dogs in a gentle fashion and loves your dog as much as you do. Highly recommended. You can't find a better home away from home for your doggie. Their day care system will have your dog wanting to come to day care to play!

Our Aussiedoodle “Bohdi” has been going to “Our Best Friend Doggie Daycare” at least three times a week since she was 16 weeks old. Bohdi would love to go there 7 days a week if we let her, she loves it!! She has spent a couple of overnights there too and been completely stress free and peaceful. She drags me into the facility, not the other way around. Thank you to the staff for caring and taking good care of our fur kiddos ❤️

You would think that a place specializing in the care of dogs and vows to, "treat them like family," would do more defend against the negative stigma pitbulls face. Unfortunatrly, enforcing a breed-restriction against pitbulls only promotes the misconceived notion that those dogs are more difficult, more of a hassle, and more troublesome than other breeds.We rescued a pitbull several months ago and he couldn't be any more sweet and loving. Yes, he's energetic, but any dog owner knows obedience and training requires patience. He plays,he runs around, he sits on our laps when we watch television, and he snuggles up next to us at night. He has never behaved in a way that was unmanageable or that differed vastly from that of our lab-mix. Packaging a breed-restriction in a way that suggests pitbulls' "energy" is reason for denial is roundabout albeit, gentler, way of suggesting pitbulls are somehow dangerous or less-deserving of love than other dogs.We were searching for a place to board our dogs during out of town trips and were greatly disappointed when we came across this restriction because other aspects of their facility seemed appealing.It saddens me that our pup wouldn't be accepted here.

The employees work like a well oiled machine even under the craziest of conditions ie.. big game nights, un kind special customers, short handed nights with unexpected obstacles. I feel my pizza is always made special for me!!! :^)

Nice and easy way to socialize and care for your dog. I drop him off for as long as I need, he has fun running around with the other dogs in the open, then I grab him when ready.

My dog loves it here but misses the trainer named Joyce. Seems the owner is not a very nice person and a few employees actually keep the doors open in spite of her.

Thought it was pretty weird that they need to do a 4 hour evaluation before your dog is decided worthy of staying there for not.
