We really like this place. Second time coming in today and we got a decently large container of raw cat food, a real fur rat toy (hilarious and my cats love it) and the catnip spray by the register (okay this stuff was crazy potent, cats also loved it) and it only put us out about $36 total so I found that very reasonable, which really drives me to come back and see what else they’ll get in stock.One of the employees at the register was also quite helpful to me in suggesting use of the raw food, which is new for us. She mentioned the raw food could be returned, even opened, if it didn’t work out for us which I appreciate from a business. Everyone was also helpful as we browsed. Overall, we left very pleased and will be back.

I used to really like this store, but yesterday i was greeted with the most condescending attitude. The salesperson was so rude i will not be returning. For the prices they charge, they should at leadt be able to afford staff that have manners.

Absolutely love this store and highly recommend it!! Staff is so friendly and helpful, great selection of items, super clean and organized and in my opinion, not overly expensive. I’d much rather spend a little more supporting a small business like Mud Bay than a chain pet store. Very grateful for this shop and always look forward to stopping in to do some shopping with my very spoiled dog 🐶🐾

To my surprise we ended up with rescue puppy at Christmas. I was really stressing about keeping her as it can be very expensive and time-consuming nursing a scared malnourished pup back to health.Mudbay saved the Day. They provided wonderful information, donated a bit of very healthy food, help me find a great deal on other supplies and basically gave me hope💓. I walked out of the door full of emotion saying, "Okay, we can do this."Well done Gig Harbor Mud Bay. She's now very happy & Healthy...and SO CUTE!Thank you for your help ☺️

It's hard finding any other shop with this much variety of dog treats! Chicken feet and cod skin, and so many other fun treats in the bulk food makes it easy to spoil your pup :)

I don't go there for bargains; I go because the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and diverse. And they sell no "junk" food at all. Whatever cost difference there might be between Mud Bay and Big Box stores is definitely made up by the products, ambiance, and good vibes.Oh, and the photo is of my niece playing the "pull the socks off" game with my Bombay Fin.

They are wonderfully supportive. They help my rescue practice skills like sit to get a treat. She is welcomed and this is her favorite place to visit and best if all she got a cookie on her 1 year birthday! Prices competitive. They carry everything we were looking for.

Always a lovely shop with friendly employees. I had to stop and get some items for my new 3 legged puppy and couldn’t leave him in car due to heat. I couldn’t let him walk because his surgery and hes not fully vaccinated yet so I put him in a buggy. I was worried they’d get upset but no one even looked at me twice. Got my items plus more I didn’t know I needed and they gave my puppy some extra treats. We love Mudbay and have been loyal Mudbay shoppers for years. Never a bad experience.

This review is overdue but I wanted to make sure I shared about the wonderful experience my partner, puppy and I had at the Gig Harbor Mud Bay. We were in the area on vacation about a month ago and ran out of food for our puppy. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the right food options for our pet. They provided us with some great samples and we left learning a lot of great things about our dogs diet that we didn't know before. I so wish this location was my local store! This is the type of customer service experience I wish I could have everywhere. Top notch.

Nice folks and very helpful. The people are friendly and extremely informed. There customer service is top notch and they have special activities during the month for your furry friend that seem fun. It is nice that you can bring your animal into the store stress and fuss free. They really do care about your furry friend. I appreciate that they offer free samples when you have a picky cat. I found some good quality specialty foods that she really enjoys eating. And the cost is reasonable for quality merchandise.

They are so nice here. I went in because my older cat had stopped eating one of the foods I usually feed him and they let me know that the company had changed the formula. It was such a relief to hear that, and I really appreciate that they take note of that stuff. The free samples they allow and advice on food types they gave have me well on my way to having replacements for him, and he's eating happily again. Don't be afraid to ask for advice when you come in. They're really helpful here.

Great selection of feed, toys and accessories. They are a bit more expensive at times, but by shopping here you are supporting a small local chain versus nation wide store which is nice. They staff are always friendly.

Had extremely low stock for dog flotation devices which was strange, however the staff was lovely & were very sweet to our dog despite us not purchasing anything. Not their fault they were out of stock. Be aware the prices for dog PFDs were 4x the store down the road we found one at.

We have shopped at Mud Bay for years now. Many, if not most all prices are lower than our other local stores, and even online pricing. The store is well stocked with good healthy solutions, and best yet, employees who are well trained in nutrition. It's a clean store, with almost a boutique feel to it. We have two dogs with health issues, and they have been knowledgeable and helpful. I love this place! Thank you Mud Bay for all your help!

It is hands down the best pet store that I have personally been to in the Northwest! I must warn you it is by no means a cheaper retailer. The items may cost more at Mud Bay but I can almost guarantee you thar at no other stores will you receive the same quality products along with employees who are really there to help and help you find the best products for your pet, not what makes the store or themselves more money.

I just found the cutest rain coat for my dog and the sales clerk was very helpful in making sure I got the right fit even without my dog. I was greeted immediately and I was able to get what I was looking for in 5 minutes- this was not my first store, I did not find what I was looking for at 3 other pet supply stores in town.

I shop here because of the excellent service and great training tips shared. Wish they had a bigger selection of Wolfgang collars that are trendier and eye-catching, but nothing to lose stars over.
