My experience with this cvs has been pretty pleasant. I have never had a problem with this location. The staff has been very nice every time I’ve gone. They even were able to tell me when my next prescription would be filled which is great to plan ahead. I also opted in for text message updates which is helpful to let me know when my prescriptions are ready. Also is helpful that they hold the prescription for me for a matter of days too, in case I’m unable to go pick it up.

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY! I went in today, right at their posted open time (9am) and they had all of their metal doors down. I was able to speak with a target manager around 9:20am who said they have nothing to do with the CVS pharmacy space and have no way of contacting them. I knocked on the pharmacy doors until a man finally came out and said they were experiencing technical issues and could not even be bothered to open their doors and let people know what was going on. He was rude and ultimately did not end up helping me, the situation or anyone else there at all. I asked if they could call my prescription into another CVS and he said he was on the phone and couldn’t help me and essentially ended up shutting his door again. I know our medical system is completely broken, but at a very minimum, this man should have informed people and at least attempted to do his job.

Have been using this pharmacy occasionally for ~3 years. Of late, they seem to be operating better, especially if you use the CVS app (e.g. to make vaccination appointments). On New Year’s Day 2024 when many pharmacies were closed, in under 2 hours (faster than their app estimated) they filled two prescriptions my Dentist sent in, and notifications via text were immediate and helpful. Vaccinations took only a few minutes at the pre-reserved appointment time, and the person administering the shots was super pleasant and efficient. As with most pharmacies, their system naturally makes it difficult to get through to them on the phone, but using app or web works pretty well. Proof of vaccination is obtained via web within hours and downloads via .pdf or your digital wallet. Personnel I’ve met have been friendly and helpful throughout the last 3 years. At times they have not had meds in stock but was usually rectified in reasonable timeframes. Note that at this location, one cannot use CVS coupons for over the counter stuff, looks like the stock on the nearby shelves is owned and/ or managed by Target (?).

Hit or miss; there are some very good people working here. But today Leanna was working the register. They close at 2:00 (middle of the afternoon), and if you don’t know and plan for that they will waste your time. Leanna’s indifferent, cold, “I don’t care” attitude just adds to the frustration.

If my insurance didn’t demand I use this company, I certainly would not. I was scheduled to revive vaccinations today, but they ran out (how that happens with appointments seems like poor logistics on their part), I wasn’t notified until I called to confirm because they had something set up incorrectly (she took responsibility but said yes I would have shown up for no reason), and she cannot reschedule me. And she hung up. I realize hiring is a challenge, but my goodness get better people to manage your customer interactions.

The staff here is ALWAYS rude and will say anything to get you off the phone. I got to the point where I just wanted to cancel my order because of the utter incompetence of filling a simple prescription and they hung up me in the middle of the conversation. No call backs AT ALL. I had to wait the following day to get connected with someone to cancel the order. Long story short, I missed a few doses of my meds because of how slow and rude the staff are here. If you want to deal with all of these things, go ahead and go to this pharmacy. Good luck!

The male head pharmacist is one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered in customer service. His level of disrespect and unprofessionalism is the only thing top notch about CVS Gig Harbor.Caution: they’ve charged me full price for prescriptions twice, and I’ve heard them do it to others, because my benefits were expired when they weren’t. Each time, after I paid full price, I called my insurance to find it was entered, approved, and then CVS self-denied it.Paying full price twice, paired with the pharmacist with “multiple degrees” telling me he was more educated than I am was enough to make the switch to another pharmacy and I recommend everyone else to do the same.

A bit of patience goes a long way!! They are clearly understaffed and I hope they're able to get more people soon. My vaccine experience here was wonderful; I was in and out of the store within 10 minutes and everyone was friendly. Took 1 star off because my appt was randomly canceled and I had to call to find out why, and was on hold for quite some time (expected). Can't speak to prescriptions, but if you need to get vaccinated this is a solid location.

There must have been a change in personnel. This was formerly fast, efficient, friendly and dependable. Sadly, that is no longer the case. I tried to have a prescription refilled to be told it would be ready in 4 days. I tried to have my prescriptions transferred but CVS didn't return calls or relay prescription info to the new pharmacy. I couldn't reach them on the phone. They were in essence holding my prescriptions hostage.

If I could give zero stars I would. The awful rating is definitely for good reason. Stood in line for 30 minutes, while on hold with CVS watching them ignore the call. Once I finally got to speak with the pharmacy employee, I’m told my medication can’t be filled for another two days. I asked him if it was possible to have them transferred to a different pharmacy, as I have to be on a plane in two hours & literally need these prescriptions. He said yes, but that I’ll need to have the other pharmacy call them to make the transfer - BUT he can’t promise to answer the phone call.You’re kidding me? If you need a prescription filled, especially for important medication, do not use this pharmacy.

I have been waiting all morning for CVS to fax a copy of my moms prescription to her pharmacy because the ER Doc called it in to to the wrong pharmacy. I think when someone needs an antibiotic it should be a priority. It’s now been 13 hours since her ER dose was given and my mom is suffering because CVS doesn’t have time to fax a piece of paper. They tell me they are “busy.” I work in Healthcare and know the importance of timing this medication and they should know this too.

I am DONE with CVS my primary doctor has been trying to get a hold of them for weeks. I have been as well. My foot doctor called in pain meds after a surgery on Friday and my fiance went to get them yesterday. The guy was rude when he told him I have been out and he went back today when they said it would be ready (you can't call and find out if you don't have the script number cuz no one has been answerin the phones and it still wasn't ready and it won't be able to be filled today because there is no pharmacist. I am in so much pain and very disappointed in CVS

Why does the aisle to the register run thru the cold & flu medicine during a covid pandemic? They aren't wide enough for people to maintain a safe distance from shoppers looking for cough syrup. They force you to exposure yourself to sick people when picking up prescriptions. I had to switch to a drive thru location. Two stars because 1) getting a vaccine here was easy and 2) Staff were great.

Prescriptions ordered over a week ago. They had question for Dr no follow up now family member has no meds on a Saturday evening when they told them to be here at 4:30. 4 people waiting for prescriptions for over a week that could not get there medications. Unacceptable and dangerous those they serve. Leadership has absolutely failed. This is not retail this is health care. Do your job.

I used to love using this place. When Target owned the pharmacy it was wonderful. Had wonderful people who knew you. Now the people don't care. I have waited for prescriptions for a week and they didn't even fil them. The wait times are awful and the people could care less. They don't even answer the phone anymore.

After 3 days they said my prescription would be ready the next day. I went in even a day later and they said they don't have my prescription in stock and it would take a few days more. I called Costco and they called and changed the prescription to Costco and it was ready in less than 2 hours. But the worst is how rude the pharmacist was at Target.

The staff is very nice, but this is by far the CVS with the worst wait times that I’ve ever been to. I made 3-4 visits with over a 20 minute wait to pick up a routine prescription with automatic refill, usually going early in the morning to avoid peak times. On two occasions, they didn’t even have the prescription filled when I arrived, despite notifying me that it was ready via the CVS app. I’ve used other CVS locations and never had these issues. I would recommend using a different pharmacy.

I have gone to this pharmacy for years. The past pharmacists and staff were wonderful and fast, under new management this pharmacy now has two hour wait times being quoted for prescriptions and even then they're still not being filled. The staff also refused to ring up my fsa/hsa eligible items when I was picking up my prescription after two days of waiting. Unfortunately I am going to have to find a new pharmacy.

i saw all these reviews saying this pharmacy is slow or rude. neither is true. i could see how the are slow if you wall in demand your meds and they arent filled yet, yeah that might take a little bit. i get a text once my meds are ready and it takes like whatever the line takes in time.as for the person who reccomends the scamming illegally double dipping costless: i am on state insurance. i do not pay for my meds, and i am not supposed to have any fees or fines. they are paid for by the state. every single time i tried to get my meds they made me wait 30 minutes and then, according to my insurance, illegally charged me a fee for giving me my meds.CVS is the best pharmacy ive even been at since i was going to Madigan Army Medical Center.oh and the guy clearly mis using his meds, pharmacies have machines count and double count the pills before a person ever sees them.as for the dentist, r/quityourbs.

This CVS Pharmacy is a joke. Waiting days for prescriptions to be filled is ridiculous. Hung-up the phone after waiting 17 minutes for someone to answer, unacceptable! I’m giving a 1 star because it’s the only way to post this. CVS Pharmacy has lost yet another customer to Walgreens.

First of all they do not deserve the 1 star. This is the worst place to get your meds, not only are they slow but someone cannot count my med count has been wrong more than once, so when I went to explain this. CHAD was very rude and dismissed me as tho they COULD NEVER miss count and told me that I dropped it or over used it myself . He was very condescending. I WOULD RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE. Also the other two pharmacists are just as rude and act like you are bothering them. Called corporate made complaint , obvious I'm not the first or will I be the last... GOOD LUCK to those who stay...

When you say you open at 9 am. You really should open at 9 am. This pharmacy is not convenient and the parking at Target is always atrocious. Super annoyed that you have to go thru all that only to find the pharmacy is closed and noone knows when they will open as they are contractors inside the retailer.

I have been coming to this pharmacy for a couple of years they were AMAZING!!! Unfortunately do to mandates the best ones left. There is a new pharmacist in particular that is just NASTY!!!! He messed my meds all up!!! So I am removing myself from CVS and going to a new pharmacy. He is RUDE and MEAN!!!

This pharmacy is the worst pharmacy we have ever dealt with. They don't answer the phone, they don't fill scripts on time ever. And they won't even transfer our scripts to another pharmacy unless we argue with them and force them to look in their records and do their job. If you need scripts, please go anywhere but here. If I could give 0 stars I would.

The bad reviews are true. I tried picking up a prescription sent five days ago and was told they hadn't started it yet because they are that far behind. Unfortunately coming in person is the only option since phone calls aren't answered.If you don't mind waiting in line for awhile, twice, and don't have other options then sure, fill here.

Some of the nicest, most caring people I've ever encountered had a pharmacy. Evan, the lead pharmacist, is truly a kind soul, and goes out of his way to help others consistently. He truly cares. Highly recommended.
