I went in to pick up my prescription and of course had to wait in line for quite awhile. When it was my turn I was told I had to talk to the pharmacist. When I was finished talking to him I went back to get my prescription and was told I had to wait in line again. The line was long 5 people in front of me. Waited for a good amount of time. As I was in line I noticed a Huge bag of pills on top of the blue cabinet in front of the registers at the pharmacy window. Which I pointed out to the pharmacy assistant. She was shocked and went and got them. Weird!!! Anyone could have taken them.

I transferred my prescriptions from Fred Meyer to this store because they are in my insurance network. I am very happy with the service the pharmacy has given me. The technicians are friendly and I was in and out even with 3 people before me. over the phone they answered all my questions, contacted my insurer, and I didnt even ask her to. Great caring people working here. The front cashiers are also very nice people. Great service from great employees and a clean well stocked store.

I went in to pick up a prescription that I ordered for refill on their app two days previously. I didn’t see it was filled but I had to pick up a prescription for my husband on Saturday. It wasn’t ready so I said ok I will be back another day since they only had two working the pharmacy on a Saturday!? The line was long and an older gentleman spent a ridiculous amount of time visiting. He never looked up to see several waiting! I received a automated call late Sunday that my pills were ready. I went in on Monday. I was told they were not ready. They hadn’t counted them yet! I questioned why I got a phone call and she said I should not have. No apology of any kind. I waited over 10 minutes so they could count them! After decades with Bartells we are transferring to another pharmacy. This happens way too often! Years ago they had great customer service but no longer. We now have our prescriptions sent to another pharmacy.

I picked up a Prescription today at Bartel's in Gig Harbor. Generally I have a "Good efficient experience".The technition assisting me behind the Counter and The Plexy Glass spoke very loud so other Customers in line could hear the Name of my Rx. & other personal info. I asked her not to speak so Loud as I didn't want others in the Line to hear. In other words, I preferred to keep my information Confidential. She replied, "most people that come in here are hard of hearing"I reassured her I am not hard of hearing.. Her attitude & disposition toward me with other Communication was even more disappointing. Something I have never experienced before at this Bartel.I think I will take my Business elsewhere in the Future if I should need a Prescription.

I went in to Bartells to get my annual flu shot. Now, I haven't reviewed anything in a while, but I felt compelled to write this one because I had such a wonderful experience here. So often you go into a place for a simple procedure/service and the business treats you like you barely exist. But not here. It's refreshing to see a place that still cares about customer service. Staci, who handled setting up my appointment, was an absolute delight, and funny to boot! And Lynn, the pharmacist who gave me my shot, had the sort of kind and thoughtful demeanor that instantly puts you at ease. People like Lynn and Staci are why me and my family have supported Bartells for so many years and will continue to come here when we need a pharmacy that actually cares about the people it serves.

Angelica with Bartell Drugs deserves an award for outstanding customer service. I had a horrible experience with another drug store pharmacy and Angelica went above and beyond to take care of my prescription needs at this Bartell Drugs. She patiently called my insurance and went through several people to try and get a prescription removed from a closed pharmacy (they auto filled and held my prescription even though they were closed and I was in pain from an infection and needed antibiotics). Even though the insurance company wasn’t able to process the cancellation, Angelica was able to fill my prescription that evening. Five Stars for you Jelly!

This place is now the worst in town. I've had them text me some meds are ready and then show up only to have them 'still in process.' How is that even possible? The pharmacy workers are just rude now too. I've had to change where I shop it's so bad. If I could have put 0 stars I would have. Absolutely horrible

Unfortunately, I loved this store and love shopping local but I will never go to this one again. I have had problems in the past when I had prescriptions for pain meds after a knee replacement and also back fusion and my husband was given a hard time from the pharmacist telling him that he is enabling my opioid dependence, not true at all, but I took that as caring for their customers. BS, I just called and had the rudest encounter with a woman, I believe her name was Sue. I love shopping local and may go to another store in the future but I will not be going back to the Gig Harbor location for pharmacy or otherwise. It is so sad that the people there are no longer emulating the respect that I once loved that store for in the past.

I have been coming to Bartel for all my family’s prescription since I moved to Washington for about 3 years now. But the services here is just getting worse and worsen. They always sent you a text saying that your prescription is ready to be picked up but when you came in it’s not ready. But that’s not the things that made me give them one star today. I recently requested for a COVID vaccine appointment online. When I filled out the information they have asked me which vaccine I want to get. And I chose Pfizer, but when I got to the appointment they was about going to give me the Modena instead without saying anything. I was waiting so I was bored and read the receipt and it said Modena. When I asked them they just said that Pfizer was out of stock. What if I did not read the receipt they just gave it to me anyway. If they could tell me that they didn’t have Pfizer vaccine upfront, I would gone to different pharmacy and I would made to the deadline of vaccination for my cruise vacation. And I would had more time to reschedule my appointment, but now I can’t because it take like a month to reschedule for COVID vaccine appointment everywhere. And the Pfizer vaccine doses are only 21 days apart not like Modena are 28 days apart. I need to get both of them 2 weeks before my cruising date. And now I have to cancel my vacation because of them. Also when I called to confront them dr. Cheng, the pharmacist said they called client the night before to tell them what vaccine was in stock. That’s was not true statement. That’s was a lie. Please take your business else where that they at least care for you. Some other pharmacy they automatically schedule your second dose appointment which made it more convenient for you and this place is not.

It's a mixed bag with Bartells. The whole place feels like 1980. Smells that way too. Often don't have the prescribed drugs in the store. No public bathroom. On the other hand, pretty helpful staff. And you can buy expensive toys if you're kids are with you.

I have been using Bartell Drugs on Olympic Drive in Gig Harbor for 5 years. The pharmacy has gradually grown to be less and less responsive and unfriendly since being taken over by RiteAid. The inventory has decreased as well. Looking to go to a different supplier in spite of the fact that the store is 1 mile from my front door.

Terrible experience!New to the area, was told I could find what I wanted at Bartell in Gig Harbor. Didn't know the layout of the store, so I went exploring, which they apparently don't like you to do! Had 5 people ask me at least once, some were twice, and 1 asked me 3 times, if I found what I was looking for. When I took out my phone to do some comparison shopping, I had an employee march up to me and ask (quite loudly), "Are you taking pictures in this store?!?!" Um, no, I'm doing comparison shopping with the supermarket next door. After the employee walked away, she went up to the register, spoke with the cashier, and pointed at me. This encounter made me REALLY uncomfortable! I figured I should try to find what I wanted, and get out of there, apparently they don't like you to window shop or linger. Didn't find what I wanted, but I started to head toward the door, thought I would window shop with their ad in the privacy of my car. That's when I had an employee follow me out to my car, and took down my license plate number! I got out of the car and asked her what she was doing? "We do this for all the people that shop lift in our store!" I am not a shop lifter, and I hate when people do! I offered to go back into the store, open my purse, empty my pockets, and do all I could to prove I wasn't a shop lifter. She simply said, "I've already done it, don't come back!"As any sensible person would, I called the corporate office, and they responded with a standard, "we'll look into this matter, and I'll phone you back tomorrow." I'm still waiting, it's been a week.I did have a friend of mine go in for her prescription, and she took a picture of what she thought I'd want, the store saw her do this, and demanded she delete the picture. After her name was called to get her prescription, they asked her to leave, and followed her out to her car to make sure she left! They also commented as they escorted my friend out, "She's as bad as the other one, taking pictures, pretending she's not doing anything!"There is something SEVERELY WRONG with this location, they are so afraid of people using their smart phones to take pictures, and of people lingering in their store! Either shop lifting is an epidemic in that store, or they really hate having to provide customer service, so they are attempting to eliminate the customers from coming back! Either way, it's working, my friend is changing her pharmacy to Safeway across the street, and I'll never go back into that store! Please make sure to alert your friends and family, if they want to be harassed, chased out of a store, or want poor customer service, just whip out your smart phone, and watch the fireworks for yourself!

Very poor common sense, went to fill 90 day blood pressure medication. They only had 20m in stock prescription was for 40m. They told me they'd have 40's tomorrow. No problem until I asked for 2x20m for today to hold me till tomorrow.Manager said she couldn't fill it and showed no concern.problem u till

Terrible Pharmacy!! If I could Leave 0 stars, I would! Picked up a siezure medication for my dog (first time), $47. Call Costless and am quoted $14. Great way to run a business!! Won't be back.

I think the store and pharmacy at Bartell's are great but not the Walk-In clinic. After having the flu and still running a fever/cough 2+ weeks later I was told I had "a 3 week bug" and just to take Musinex DM and be re-ck'd in a week if not better. Still sick 3 days later so I went to my reg provider. I had pnuemonia diagnosed by a chest x-ray. Will not return to the walk-in clinic.

Everyone here is and has always been very helpful and friendly. Prices are fair, sometimes very good, if you pay attention to its flyers. You can have your blood pressure checked, and a passport photo taken here as well. Easy parking usually.

The first time a cashier was rude at this store, we wrote it off as one negative experience. But after multiple experiences with different rude cashiers, there just seems to be an attitude problem at this store. They seem irritated to have to stop what they are doing and ring you out. We give it a few tries but will not be returning.

I changed my rating from a 1 to a 5. This place has changed drastically. The staff is friendly and attentive now. They are a little pricey, I still go to Walgreens for a lot instead but I'm also here frequently.

This was our first experience at Bartell Drugs. Everyone was very courteous and the pharmacist went the extra mile to get the prescription filled quickly to accommodate us. We will be switching all of our business to them.

My favorite drug store in the harbor. You can literally find just about anything in this store. The employees are always very friendly and the place is clean and easy to navigate.
