I chose this place because of the price and Google recommendations. It absolutely did not disappoint! The meat lovers breakfast burrito with chipotle mayo is fantastic. One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. With so many overpriced breakfast options in Friday Harbor, this one has great food and won’t break the bank. Note that it is a walk-up window with no indoor seating, but there’s a few cozy tables and chairs right outside.

Also it is worth taking a Lactaid and ordering the Amazing tuna melt! Coffee options are also Great with custom orders happily provided. Everything is worth the line/wait. Honestly, it's hard to believe everything is so good with a few pieces of low techequipment. The food was pretty amazing . I also got a fresh fruit smoothy that was incredible. This is probably the best breakfast spot in town.There isn't a lot of room to sit and eat, so we walked to a picnic table across the street

Good food with 5 star service! The big dog, burger and turkey wrap were flavorful and fresh. The staff was super friendly and helpful if you need recommendations with ordering.

Dave is amazing. He makes the best potato salad using his secret recipe. If you are one of the lucky ones that get to experience it, you will not be disappointed. Local family owned and operated, Dave is the owner and makes this himself. My mom is in love with his kraut dog and potato salad. This is a must stop for us. Thank you Dave, you and Sweet Retreat ROCK!

First telltale sign a place is good is the line. Check 1! There is a line. Next is when locals visit it. Check 2. Lastly when they serve DCR coffee beans. The perfect trifecta! Service was great and they looked like they loved what they were doing! Coffee is a must! If you want a breakfast sandwich that’s your place. They also serve lunch, ice cream and Hawaiian shaved.

Breakfast sandwich is amazing, not your typical microwave or frozen panini press sandwich. Fresh made on what ever bread you want, I had the croissant, it was amazing. Wish I would have known about this place sooner, also wish there were more places like this on the main land, I'll be dreaming of this breakfast tomorrow. Currently debating running back to get another one and possibly missing the ferry.

One of my most favorite places to eat on the island. There are breakfast sandwiches or to die for and are the best on the island for sure! drinks are delicious and always just the way i like them. the staff is always very welcoming and friendly.. They do an amazing job. All their food is made with love and great attention to detail, you can just tell by the way everything they make, tastes! Highly recommend!!

This place is amazing! When you show up your greeted with awesome energy from the employees and the owner, Get the gyros! Don’t forget the hot sauce! It’s kind of a must have on it! Shakes are also really good! Highly recommend this place to everyone who hasn’t been here before!

Good things come in small packages. This small place tucked in the ally should not be overlooked. I got a cheeseburger on gluten free bread and it was fantastic. Big thick beef patty with legit lettuce and tomato, not some pale wilted stuff. Service was quick, prices were good. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of their excellent menu. Breakfast options look good too.

I have a limited diet and was worried that sweet retreat may not have any good options for me. They were super flexible and accommodating with great customer service. They use the good oatmilk brand. And have loads of sugar free flavors for lattes, the most I have seen on the island at any cafe. I would go to sweet retreat if you are looking for an indulgent breakfast bite. Prices are reasonable and they have tons of options.

I was referred to Sweet Retreat & Espresso. I am so glad I was! This was my go to place for my coffee drinks throughout the weekend. I also enjoyed my breakfast burrito & hamburger that I got here. Dave and Natalie provided wonderful customer service! Next time I visit the island, I know exactly where I will be getting my coffee :)

This place has the BEST hamburgers and hot dogs in Friday Harbor. A local favorite. By the way the breakfast sandwiches are really good too. Skip the other fast food burger place for this one. You will be happy you did.

Okay coffee. Not strong or anything. My daughter liked the blueberry banana smoothie. Service was okay, the guy had sarcastic responses to my two simple questions 🙄 😒. The locals seemed to prefer it and it was nice that they (the locals)were friendly to us while we were waiting for our drinks.
