I can usually find what I need for my projects. Well stocked. Great staff who will help and advise when asked. Some items are a bit overpriced, even by island standards. But all in all, I enjoy going to Browne’s. Wonderful garden center too. Always well stocked. Looking forward to the ‘new’ Browne’s.

Largest home improvement/DIY hardware store on the island. This store has almost all the essentials and a fantastic garden section in the very back. You can get your propane tanks filled here as well. Delivery available for many items. Easy check out from purchases in the "yard" by stopping at the booth in the parking lot. You don't even have to get out of the vehicle. On the pricier side and no coupons or rewards (program) available.

They looooove Milwaukee here. Which is fine, Milwaukee's been killing it in terms of power tools. But I don't have Milwaukee money, I have rigid money. No one on this island loves rigid :-(The people that work here are very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful.

A BIG SHOUT OUT TO BROWNE'S GARDEN CENTER! As someone who makes my living (for 25-30 years) utilizing what nurseries and garden centers sell, I've had reason to frequent dozens of them. I am thrilled that our main island garden center provides all I need, sometimes daily! Special plant orders, veg starts, or just annuals for a hanging basket, I have come to depend on the staff and their products to support my livelihood. By now, I literally couldn't conduct my business without them. And now they're bigger and better! With the nursery practically overflowing with plants, pots, and soils, the hard working and capable staff is happy to point me in the right direction, give me feedback on their products, or take time to find me something extraordinary. A heartfelt thank you, thank you, thank you to you all!

For such a small town and island, this privately owned diy hardware store offers a fantastic selection. Their prices are competitive and the staff is very willing to help answer any dumb homeowner's (like myself) question or help locate some odd item.For products not stocked, they will custom order you just about anything they can source.
