The pharmacy SUCKS. the staff are not good at paying attention to customers. I spent 45 minutes in the drive through line, car after car, just to see a sign that says “we will be with you in a sec”. i stopped by around 1 as well and that same sign is still there. I don’t know who is managing this pharmacy but they need to be replaced. Everytime i come here i wait extremely long, filling my prescriptions takes extremely long, i will not be using this walgreens anymore.

I moved all of our prescriptions to this store and so far it's been great. The store is clean and most of the staff are friendly and engaging with the customers. The pharmacy techs on Sunday are especially nice and the ones during the week are hit and miss. I have had rude ones and ones that will go above to help and older customers understand vaccines, insurance, etc. It's nice to see positive interactions in, what can be, a hurried business. Overall, it's a nice, clean, well stocked Walgreens that meets my needs.

Been a loyal Walgreens customer for a long time. They make things very convenient and generally take a lot of hassle out of the back and forth with doctors. Love the prescription refill reminders, and they just started delivering same day so if you feel terrible you can stay home and the medicine comes to you.

Love Walgreens... My favorite convenience store by far. They stay open later than any other store and they restock their shelves daily. Their prices are fair, and they have great sales/deals going on all the time. Plus their rewards program allows u to earn Walgreens cash that u can use for ur purchases.

We came in two times to get passport photos and were told both times that they only do passport photos when they feel like it because they are short staffed. They advertise that they do passport photos both online and in store but they really only do them when they have “enough” staff. Both times there was enough time to take passport photos. The line of customers had just cleared the first time we came in and the second time there was one staff member standing and doing nothing. They know they can get away with it because they are a large company that will not go out of business based on a bad review or bad service but I’ll put this out here anyway.

Older lady cashier at front. Never offers a bag. Never moves store merchandise from the counter to a bag. Seems bothered she has to ring up your merchandise like she has better things to do. I will travel to lakeway walgreens if i have to and I live closer to ferndale.

They just close whenever they want. I have gone numerous times in the evening and they are consistently closed far before their hours on Google or on their store doors say. Last time my wife and I went they were closed at 7pm! We saw several cars pull up after us too, this is a major inconvenience. Otherwise location is fine, no better or worse than any other Walgreens.

Have always had good customer service here until the Canadian border opened and now they are backed up with COVID tests. I don't feel travelers wanting to go to Canada should be a priority over people getting their much needed prescriptions filled. After 5 days of waiting for my prescription I was told they couldn't fill it at the moment because it's in a time sensitive safe so it would be at least another hour. I left and 10 minutes later I got a call saying it was ready. Apparently the time sensitive safe magically opened??

I used to love this place since it's always clean and well stocked. I don't know if they are having staff shortages or what but they need to get it together. I've gone so many times and they're just closed and the hours on the doors say they shouldn't be? they just, close randomly? And there's never enough staff inside when they are open, it's pretty confusing.

I can no longer do business with their pharmacy. Last month it took them 3 days to fill a prescription should have been done automatic. Worse turned out was done a full day but never notified me as supposed to. Today I spent 2 hours on phone trying to check status and was disconnected 3 times. I gave up and went to the store in an attempt to find out the status, line would have been over a 90 minute wait for information minimum. I gave up and had my doctor move it. The new pharmacy then told me the insurance website shows it filled on the 5th? I was never notified and couldn't get help from them to know which is absolutely ridiculous!! I'm done, they've run me out of my prescriptions twice now! Im a long haul trucker and can't accept this happening because puts me out of work until get them. Good riddance!!!

I had a covid test scheduled fie 12:15. I arrived at the Walgreens drive-thru at 12. After waiting in a line of cars for over an HOUR, I pulled up to the window at 1:20…At which point the clerk said she wouldn’t do my test because they were going on lunch in 10 minutes. I complained and she got the pharmacist who repeated the same and rudely told me he’d go ahead and do my test but there would be no one here to read it. I was flabbergasted. He told me I could come back sometime after 2 for my test. Again, I had an appointment and there was a line of cars behind me who had also been waiting for over an hour. I just moved from out of town and this service is atrocious. They are understaffed and very slow moving. The pharmacist also wore his mask below his nose. Super cool.

In purchasing essential pharmaceuticals this branch charged a 'privilege pay fee' for using a debit card for payment. I have yet to get clarity from anyone on why this fee, which feels like an added tax was charged. Check your receipts closely. I am suspicious of hidden fees.

For some reason, they decided to now lock their bathrooms at 5pm. I have a kidney issue and can't hold it. Made me go all the way home just to use the bathroom! Locking your bathrooms during the day is ILLEGAL in Washington state! Never shopping there again!!!

No customer service. A common prescription took multiple hours to fill. Would have changed pharmacies to have my prescription expeditiously filled but kept being told it would be ready within the hour. Not impressed

I am embarrassed for this Walgreens and I am not going here anymore. My 21 year old deaf daughter came here yesterday 9/9/21 and she let the lady know she was deaf and asked for pen and paper. This lady was so rude to my daughter that other customers in line were also shaking their heads with discuss. I totally understand being understaffed and over worked but this is redicoulouse and on top of that they are constantly giving me wrong meds and I wait hours for them to fix

I was a certified tech for 17 years. It was unheard of to leave the customer hanging for minutes on end without acknowledging them, whether inside the store or in the drive thru. We always had someone working the counter or the drive thru, especially during the busy hours. It was unheard of for a customer to have to wait for 20 minutes. If a customer came through the drive thru we always acknowledged them right away, even if we couldn't get to them immediately. I know what it is like to work in a very busy pharmacy. Most customers do not understand what goes on in a pharmacy. But how a pharmacy is run all depends on the pharmacist on duty. With the Walgreens in Ferndale, a little more courtesy toward the customers would help. It is unreal how long the wait time is when I drive through the drive thru. (Not always, but most of the time) I've been the only one in line and I'll sit there for 15-20 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. Working on a customer's insurance problem, or trying to fill a prescription is unacceptable. The drive thru should be to pick up a prescription and then move on. I can see if the pharmacist is just finishing up on a prescription, but having other cars wait for a half an hour or more is absolutely unreal. I've been 6 cars back and have waited close to 40 minutes. I do know the techs inside the pharmacy are doing their best, but personally, the customers need to come first. Acknowledging the customers should be a "given". If there are 6 cars in the drive thru, a tech should be at that window and never leave until the customers have been helped. At least we would know a little more about why we have to wait so long. That being said, the techs seem to be doing their job.......it's the pharmacist that needs to have more control or more part time help. The techs are only doing what they are allowed to do because of the pharmacist on duty.

This pharmacy is one of the worst in Whatcom County. Every time I have to call or go through the drive through or stand in line at this pharmacy, it's a minimum 30 minutes! For example, I am currently on hold with the pharmacy and have been for 20 minutes! No one has even picked up the line! Go elsewhere if you can! And they do not follow up in a timely fashion with prescriptions that are sent in from doctor's offices. They have always been understaffed!

Husband has a kidney stone and they forgot to fill his pain meds and then said it would be another couple of days to fulfill. Also waited on hold for 30 minutes to be hung up on when it was finally my turn.

I'm not sure if its lack of staffing, training, or what but the Pharmacy here is just terrible. Avoid at all costs unless they happen to be the only place in town that carries the drug you need. In that case may god have mercy on your soul. In most cases it would save time and sanity to just drive to Lynden or Bellingham instead.I sincerely hope whoever owns this place or is responsible for the quality of service comes down with ____ or ____ rot and this is the only pharmacy they can go to.

I live 5 minutes from a RiteAid in Blaine Wa but drive 20 Minutes to the next town to go to Walgreens. I have used Walgreens Pharmacy for over 20 years and when I moved to Washington I wanted to continue. The Ferndale Walgreens had in the past been a good fit for me but now I am treated poorly the staff is many times rude and not interested in helping.I had recently gone to fill a new scrip and found out that my insurance would not cover it and the cost was over $ 1200.00 for 1 month when I called they didn't act like they cared when I asked if there was any other options like AAA discount or such. So I went online and printed out a coupon for Fred Myers grocery store and went in thinking that the coupon was a joke and they said yes it was fine and my cost would be $55.00.I know that this is not Walgreens fault but after being treated rudely so many times lately I think I will move my business over to Fred Myers.

Scripts are NEVER READY, Pharmacy Staff is indifferent and rude - miss the location in Bellingham we used to use...NEVER had so many issues like the Ferndale location, even their hours are screwy. For God Sake, hire some more staff so you can at least get scripts ready, then maybe find folks who care about their job AND the clients they serve!

Once again I wish I could give this operation a zero but I don't know how it is possible under Google reviewsPharmacy finally called me back this morning to say that they still haven't been able to get ahold of my cardiologists office at PeaceHealth and I called him out on that because I knew it was a lie especially when he said they've been trying to reach him by phone and fax for 6 weeksthe. How stupid would I have to be to believe that story.they still did not have approval to provide one of my heart medications which I am running out of today so after I hung up on him I phoned the doctor's office got through immediately told him of my problems and they say they were stunned at the comments from this Walgreens Pharmacy. You think Walgreens would be a professional operation, not this one!The cardiologist's office got a prescription called in to RiteAid and I will be able to pick up my necessary heart medication this afternoon as I am leaving on an extended trip tomorrow morning.Don't do business with this Walgreens location, absolutely useless!

Why is it not OK FOR A HUSBAND TO USE A REWARDS CARD- especially if it is ok that we share a bank account, why question this petty issue... How rude! He is able to use rewards at other Walgreens... The lady at Ferndale Walgreens wouldn't allow my husband to use my phone number

Great place to ship packages when you want to fly to Bellingham and then drive to Canada. Saves taking them as checked baggage. Clerkc helpful and got my package right away.
