Just echoing all the reviews. Went to go pick up a prescription, had a goodrx info for a better price, "oh I'm sorry it'll take 20 minutes, we have to reject it and rebill it". Um, that's a first. I've never seen a pharmacy freeze, no line and take an additional 20 minutes to process a different "insurance info", usually it takes 1-2 minutes or less and it's usually done while you're standing there. When pressed further why? "There's ppl in front of you!!!". Where???? Definitely taking my prescription somewhere more reliable and less attitudy. Pathetic customer service!!

This RiteAid in Ferndale is an excellent store, with all staff helpful and personable, especially all pharmacy staff. They're caring and glad to answer questions. However, the regional support for the pharmacy (this means Steve, who was there on 9/27/23) needs improvement. The refrigerator nearly overflows with meds; the telephones (crucial to their services) are old and need to be upgraded; and phone rests, again which are crucial for comfort, are not provided! Ridiculous! The staff deserve much better support.

The prices inside the store are not good, so I've only ever gone here for prescriptions. Unfortunately they are having a hard time keeping pharmacists or pharm techs employed here, I'm guessing due to internal conditions or overworking. Every time I get my meds it's someone new, someone very stressed and busy. The waits in line are just unreasonable, like cars lined up out of the parking lot or 10 people lined up in the store unreasonable. I wanted to change to the new pharmacy across the street but unfortunately my insurance won't work there :(

Ridiculous, I called and refilled my birth control here. They said they would fill it and have it ready next day. I go to pick it up, they said they sent it to the sunset pharmacy. That's not where I said I needed it filled! I took an Uber to pick it up for nothing. Then they say they can call and cancel it and refill it at this one, but as soon as they do they tell me "oops! We are out and won't have it til Monday!" I'm out TODAY, people! Super frustrating pharmacy

Always have great experiences when I go there. Customer service is great, very helpful and friendly. I like their text messaging service cuz I forget about picking up my scripts and that helps remind me. Prices are fair too, they have lots of sales going on all the time.

This place has always sucked a bit. This is the final straw and now I'm switching to the locally owned pharmacy right across the street. The drive-thru is reserved for Covid testing only now and you must go inside to pick up prescriptions. I stood in a long line that barely moved because the pharmacy people are so painfully slow, I got fed up and left. Plus every single time I run out of refills on my prescription they always insist they faxed the doctor several times and my doctor says they received nothing. So I am stuck playing back & forth games and not getting my medication until the last minute. Also takes them forever to fill prescriptions once you request it.

If they had a 5+ star rating option, I would give it to this rite aid and their pharmacy in Ferndale! Steven knew his stuff! He Was very polite, understanding, and knowledgeable! Made my first experience at this pharmacy, memorable & great!

I moved to Ferndale about 18 months ago and have been going to this Rite Aid for my drug store needs. I have visited the store maybe 5 times. Frankly, I'm not impress and have decided after our most recent visit not to waste my time here anymore. The selection of items is horrible, half stocked shelves, most of the items on my list not in stock. The one time I needed a prescription it took a longer time than I am accustomed to get it filled.There are other drug stores out there that don't waste your time. I usually love Rite Aid for selection, but not this one. Every time I go here I have to make mental notes of what I'll need to pick up at another store because stuff is always missing from the shelves.Logistics matters! Even in Ferndale. I'm no longer patronizing this location.

Just received my Covid 19 booster here. Staff was friendly and the pharmacist was amazing at giving the shot. Barely felt anything, just small amount of pressure from the needle. They have always been helpful here, to me. Was a good experience considering it involved a needle. ☺️

Went to RiteAid for 3 years. They had mediocre but consistent service and quality. Recently however their entire pharmacy staff- pharmacists and pharm techs quit in a mass exodus. They were replaced by people who are completely new and incompetent. Moved my business to the pharmacy down the street as have many others who used RiteAid. Today I spoke with a person in the pharmacy just to ask about covid testing and he asked if I was a doctor. I said no and he hung up on me. I've called RiteAid hundreds of times. I never use the doctor line. He was just being a jerk. I will never go to RiteAid in Ferndale...ever.

Had the same prescription for two years and the pharmacy continually doesn’t refill it in a timely way. Same issues every other refill where I have to call in and tell the pharmacist the same story to get them to refill. Then they tell you it will be ready same day but it isn’t. So frustrated, and it is affecting my health this time!

The people in the pharmacy are rude. I was told that my medication was not ready that were called in 8 hours before and then when I finally got them the lady made a joke about my medications. Definitely would not recommend. And also, the two guys in the pharmacy look like they have absolutely no idea what they are doing nor do they care.

I love Rite Aid. Reasonably priced and they have everything from alcohol to $1 Isle and toys and I mainly go there for my hair products and just to browse. It's never super busy and very inviting.

Line of 5 cars in front of me. I sat for at least 10 minutes before they got the 1st car serviced. Next 3 were ok, but with 1 car in front of me, they leave the drive through without talking to the car and come back after more than 15 minutes...again they know cars are waiting...very frustrated to have waited over 35 minutes before getting to me....we will be switching pharmacies. This seems to happen even if there are only 1 or 2 cars in front of me.It seems that they might be understaffed maybe?

The WORST pharmacy ever, and I mean seriously the worst. They never answer their phone, you have to wait in line for at least 30 min even if you’re behind 2 people, no one is ever at the drive thru and you have to wait 10 min of ringing the little bell for anyone to even come, I’ve gotten 3 covid tests here now and every single time it takes over 5 days to get my results and I have to end up calling and then it gets sent right away like they had it the whole time. Completely ridiculous customer service, do not go here

If you need to use a washroom in an emergency need to ho basis do not fill scripts at this rite aid. They will tell you washrooms available for workers only watch u struggle and get mad if you lose control of bladder in store

Worse customer service by far. I have filled prescriptions in the past at Haggens, Safeway, Walgreens and Fred Meyer and had great experience. Twice this month the staff was rude and late to fill the prescriptions. When I demanded they are done asap they rudely told me to come back in another 30 minutes, thou they had all day to do it from the time it was called in. I'll never go back.

If i could rate a zero, i would gladly. My partner and I have chronic illnesses. Medications are essential to a healthy life and the Pharmacists at Riteaid in Ferndale could care less. Our schedules make it hard at times to get there and pick up our meds an hour before it closes, which is well, an hour BEFORE it closes. So they will not give us our prescriptions although we order them at least a week ahead. They have never been ready on time which forced me to wait for 6 HOURS at the store when they decided to fill them.I witnessed the Assistant Manager walk up to a customer who was doing nothing, accuse him of being a thief, and literally made an attempt to physically fight the man in front of everyone. The man got up to leave and the manager physically stopped him, only slighly releasing him after the man started screaming to be left alone and stating he just wanted to leave. I could here them screaming out the door!I tried to terminate this arrangement at this location but it has been very hard making it to the next town over so about a week ago my partner called to say he wouldn’t have time to get his meds at our new pharmacy and needed it transferred and could make it by 6:00pm. When he got there at 6:01, he was greeted by the assistant and told they were closed and he wouldn’t get his medication. These medications were ordered daya in advance and not even filled. He was a 1.5 days overdue and extremely sick because of it. As he explained to all of them that they were psychiatric medications and medicines that treated a rare neurological disorder, he was told that maybe he should find a hospital then instead! The pharmacists then began screaming at him, saying they had families to go home to and he was not special. She would only fill one prescription of her choice. I will only say that story. I think you get my point.

I was at the pharmacy tonight getting a prescription and this nice calm lady needed to also get her meds. I was the 2nd person in line and noticed the cashier who was suppose to be helping her rolling eyes. As I paid close attention to what was being said it saddened me that Elaine the cashier was extremely rude to the customer. The lady didn't understand why her prescription wasn't there as its unusual for it to not be. Instead of being a little more helpful or even if she would of not been so rude it may of been easier on the customer. I don't understand why she was like that but the customer was not being rude in anyway. Yes it was to late to call the insurance or a doctor as Elaine told her to do but seriously she could of taken a few extra minutes to look through the system. Anything would of been nice. This experience makes me want to change my pharmacy and never come back. If I could I would give no stars.Sincerely,Agitated with Elaine

The management here is not making sure that people adhere to safety protocals for masks. This is sad because people who come into pharmacies are often elderly or ill. I will not return. Of all places, a pharmacy should care about the health of its customers. It was pretty blatant that this place has no interest in enforcing rules that keep me and my elderly relatives safe. Even one of the pharmacists had his mask off his nose! Any healthcare provider should understand how to wear a mask properly. Ridiculous.

They are so slow and rude. I waited 3 weeks for my daughter's meds. I was told her insurance wouldn't cover the med so they wouldn't fill it even tho I said I'd pay cash! When I went to get meds for my self they strung me along all day, i was told meds would be ready at 11 get there to be told 3:30, get there at 3:30 to be told 5:30. I definently would not reccomend this riteaid pharmacy.

Place is about useless. Can't even give me an approximation of when prescription can be filled,not day let alone the hour. Contacted other store to get help, maybe transfer prescription. Problem is ferndale store won't answer phone for me, and Blaine store says Ferndale leaves them on hold and never comes back. After this I'll go to anyone else to avoid Riteaid in the future.

The pharmacy sucks. They will string you along all day and you can come back multiple times throughout the day and even tell you at the end of the day that you'll have to come back the next day. Not a one off. But many times have they strung me or my wife along. First they 15 minutes. You come back again an hour after giving them an extra 45 minutes to complete their simple counting/sorting task and they then they tell you they will have it before they close. Then they dont even have it ready then. Who runs this mess? Do you not have any sense of time ir urgency? Do you need more staff? You sure are willing to take in payments drom insurance but you screw over the people coming to get their prescriptions.

HORRIBLE customer service. VERY RUDE! Doesn't answer any questions that you have, and when you don t understand something they get a very rude attitude and tell you to call your Doctor. I have never been treated so rudely by anyone, especially in customer service. I would not recommend anyone ever go to ferndale rite aid pharmacy, go to lynden it's not that far of a drive and they are great.
