Was looking to see their selection of ant insecticides. This is an older type of agriculture store, so might seem a bit dusty and cluttered to a younger generation.However, they have a fantastic verity of feed products, work clothes and more. I am so used to stores like this growing up and are more than willing to answer any questions.Plus, they are SUPER friendly. I always enjoy coming here.

I stop in quite often just to browse around. Seven years ago they had their chicks, and turkeys in . All were so cute I decided to buy a couple turkeys. Well wasn't long before a eagle got one, which left me with only the one....in which I named Bert. Bert is now 8 years old in May 2018 and is my garden partner and a wonderful pet. Thank you Portal Way.

We just moved to Ferndale a few months ago and were so happy to discover Portal Way Farm and Garden. The staff are all very helpful, and they have everything from baby live poultry, to clothing, to hardware, to plants, and sand/gravel/soil/manure/etc., all either by the bag or the front-end loader bucket.

The store itself is ok but they could certainly clean up the front and make it look a little more professional. The sign has been half ripped off and just needs to be cleaned. Curb appeal counts for something in a retail establishment!

I love these guys and gals. We recently moved into the area, they carry the chicken feed and specialty dog food I need. They have quite a lot of plumbing supplies as well. Just a really nice place to shop. I especially love the local artesian stuff in the store.

Friendly helpful staff, and an abundance of items makes it helpful to not have to run into town for this or that. An extra special favorite place when it’s planting season. Lots of choice. And I love the pet section – pretty good size :-)

A good variety of plants for garden beds, pots and veggie gardens outside and inside everything under the sun, especially for pets and birds and farm animals. And then there's the barbeque and smoking equipment, work clothes and boots and in April- baby chicks! Fun place.

After a horrific experience at Ace, this place was refreshingly pleasent.My roommate and I always have trouble finding Home Fire Presto Logs.These guys were stocked up, which was amazing.Plus, their service was wonderful, which made the experience even better!!

I’ve been coming here for as long as I’ve lived in Whatcom county and love it. Now I’m in there at least every two weeks for hay and they’re always so helpful, and make it right if something goes wrong. I always forget how much stuff they have and find myself wandering regularly. Highly recommend.

My husband purchased a Traeger Smoker/Grill from them 2 weeks ago. We used it three times and we love it. Today he started it up and the temperature probe that regulates it went kaput. He drove down to them, explained what was happening (temp kept climibing) and they contacted the Rep. Long story short here we finally got a call around 2:00 p.m. telling him to take it back down to the store and they would fix it for him. Finally after much ado with Traeger Rep and frustrated employees and us it was fixed. I felt badly for Portal Way Farm and Garden as their hands were tied by Traeger when they just wanted to trade out the unit with a replacement. They bent over backward for us earning our continued business with this mom & pop local business. Thanks y'all, we appreciate you!
