Very friendly cashiers. Staff is ready to answer questions and assist in product selection. Whenever I have needed help with a project, an employee with actual knowledge and experience in that area has assisted me in product selection and cost efficiency. Also, Dog Friendly! Some of the older guys working there are a bit...overbearing with their suggestions on purchasing additional items. Girls up front doing registers don't listen that well, were too busy gabbing with one another to notice I was ready to check out. My purchase was 2 items, wood and concrete. And neither were right when I went to pick up. 😒🙄The gentleman outside helping me was more than helpful and had a great positive attitude which is only reason I'm giving the amount of stars I am.The store itself is clean, and easy to find items. As well as having an abundance and variety of choices which is incredibly nice. The prices are much lower than big box stores which is nice to be able to support local as well.

Today I went into Bayview and Haley helped me. She immediately approached me as I stared dauntingly at a wall of stain. She asked great questions that got to the bottom of what I was really after. She coached me on what brushes to use and went over color swatches with me.The experience was so great and comfortable. Going to a hardware store can be daunting when you don’t know what you need. She made me feel comfortable and confident in my choices.Excellent customer service! Thank you!

The staff was friendly, helped me find what I was looking for and suggested a better one I hadn't seen before. We realized the vehicle we were driving was way too small so they're delivering it for only $30. So awesome, so glad we stopped there before going to the big chain store. Thanks Bayview!!

Local buildng supply store. They have most things you will need for general building and home repairs. They don't carry anything specialty. They also have a power tool rental and small construction equipment rental.

I waited at the register while the cashier rang up the customer ahead of me and then waiting while they chatted. Made me want to set the rollers and 3 cans of paint I stood there holding down on the counter and walk out but instead I stood there, not wanting to impose.

I have visited Bayview many times over the years although I have not been there since the remodel was finished. Good solid people. And, now, they have added Ira Harris to the sales team. That alone is enough reason for anyone to shop there. Ira has a very strong background in serving the building trades. His experience dealing with contractors of all sizes will really help Bayview and their customers.

I've been slowly remodeling my 120+ year old home from the bottom up for the last 6 years. 99% of the materials have come from Bayview. I'm not a contractor. I'm not even an experienced handy-man, but I'm getting there. The staff always takes the time to answer my questions and give me advice. No matter what my problem is, they come up with a solution. I wish I could say the same for the big box stores. Their prices are fair and I'm there so often they have me on account. Great business!

This is a top notch Building Materials enterprise with helpful and courtious employees selling a wide variety of quality products at competitive prices. It was worth the 42 mile drive. They deliver but I needed to do some shopping as well and this was an order under $100.00.

I love the "Connector Coral." I do a lot of weird projects around the house, and I can always find what I'm looking for. There's a woman who works there who is really good at figuring out what I am describing: "I need a metal screwy thing with like one end that goes in the thing and the other end that has a nut on it!" "Oh you mean a hanger bolt, we have 15 different sizes right here." Excellent.

I absolutely love Bayview Building Materials! As a woman, I love the greenhouse. My husband likes the fact that their lumber is of a much better quality than the big box stores. Need to rent a piece of equipment? Bayview Building Materials is your place. Need to buy a chainsaw or zero turn riding lawn mower? Yep, they've got those too. From nuts and bolts to electrical supplies to patio furniture and BBQ's, they've got it. Building a home? This is your one stop shop. Need a builder? They have a great referral list! Ordered metal roofing and they forgot the colored screws when they delivered. We discovered this when the roofing crew was in place. Had to run to elma from Westport to get screws. They charged us 2x as much as they quoted us. Said it wasn't their fault it was the company that they ordered the roofing from! Seems to me they should have recovered that from the roofing company not their customer. The employee just didn't handle it properly. He Just shrugged it off. Very disappointing

Oh the price of lumber is outrageous right now! $50 for a 4x8 LP siding, I refuse to buy it at that price. Luckily, Clancy (at the contractor desk) thought of using Hardi siding instead. Not only cheaper but much more durable the OSB. This is why I keep coming back to Bayview.

I do not like doing reviews as I think there not fair towards a business but the people in this building are absolutely unprofessional and lasidasical.As a contractor do not trust them to make your orders on time or even comprise your order of the right materials, no representation or accountability anywhere. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
