Was just at Safeway and some kid named maguire went up to my self checkout station and submitted himself a rating in the pin pad that is always asking for feedback. He then circled around and did to other people. It honestly felt sleazy and startling, have you guys tried asking for it instead of just submitting ratings for yourself forcefully? This whole store is a joke

This place keeps getting worse and worse! No concept of customer service whatsoever... If it's that much of a bother to be polite be on time and actually care about your job just get a cardboard box and stand by the side of the road.

Terrible customer service, these university kids literally seem like zombies lol, one gal walks up to me at the hot case and doesn’t even say anything to me just stares at me as to say “what do you want”, she doesn’t label my burritos the way I asked her to do now I have to cut into them to figure out which one is which, another gal at the Starbucks is dusting and putting the duster on the counter (along with like a hundred travel mugs she put there) where my drinks are about to be put, what the heck? My wife does not handle dust well! No common sense! Not to mention last night my wife was there and clearly was having a hard time finding something and of course the young man paid no attention to it and didn’t bother to ask if he could help, just kept stocking the shelves and watched her struggle! Whose training these kids?? They apparently don’t have natural customer service skills so obviously it’s on the management to train them and clearly they’re not doing their job… It’s hard to tolerate!!!

Unfriendly vibe from people working there, made me feel like I did something wrong when I just asked them something completely normal :/Not sure if it they truly mean't anything by it, but still.Don't like feeling like a weirdo or something just for asking questions about how to order coffee and where to find a certain type of coffee in the store lmao

I've been sick from your food several times. Just recently, I was sick from Signature almonds. I'm getting accustomed to saving my receipts because of how often I come across bad food, (e.g. canned green beans where the beans were gross before entering the can, fruits that never turn ripe, fruits that are moldy inside from the core out, milky eggs that seem to come from yeast infected knock-out chickens, canned beans that smell like mold, coffees that glow bright green under black light indicating a great mold problem but the coffee was thrown into a bag and sold to us anyway.

I got a prescription refill at the Safeway Pharmacy and was violently sick the next day when I took the medication. The pharmacist acknowledged that the prescription was filled with the wrong medication that I was proscribed for. Safeway's insurance company, would not take responsibility for the mistake (Segwick).

Worst service ever. I'm currently standing, waiting for one of their employees to come back from somewhere after waiting 30 minutes for her to finish her 15 min break, all for the balloon service.....blowing up balloons is so hard apparently that only one person Can do it and 45 min in I have zero balloons inflated and zero humans to even give me my balloons back... haha crazy

After 6pm the Deli is closed. No pre-made sandwiches, hot food not available. If you're looking for a quick simple meal don't bother stopping there isn't anything to eat here.

It is a Safeway in a college town. Not that great of a selection of items, in fact, we walked out because they didn't have what we were looking for. Place was clean and easy to find.

The deli used to be a great place we could grab a quick dinner. Now, they don't cook anything after 5pm, run out immediately and don't care, and the staff seem annoyed at everything you ask. I walk away feeling disappointed every time.Update. Another terrible deli experience. Burnt pizza sticks. Black inside. Yummy.

The store is okay... some staff need training on customer service though. For instance on my recent visit during valentines day I asked one of the florist's if they had any arrangements with poppies (a quick question). The first one was nice and said "no", but then the older one butted in and said "oh god no" in a condensending tone, while rolling her eyes towards me --- all because I asked a quick question. I get they may be stressed, but it did make me feel dumb and put down for asking a simple question.

Staff has went beyond reasonable expectations in going back into the big freezer/fridge to get me whole milk that was on sale but bought out/unstocked. And the Starbucks manager is cool and makes good drinks.

This Safeway just lost 3 stars in my view. I made the mistake of being disabled and using a ebt card yesterday morning. The cashier was polite until I paid and then she had a problem with my payment and asked someone else for help. Then this person came and asked me to slide my card again after my payment had been accepted and I asked her if that was going to double charge me(she said no of course) however, it did charge me twice and took all I had left.Thing is Christmas eve is tomorrow, and if I need anything I can't go get it because of them taking the very last of what I had left. I even called right in front of her and the 2 transactions are there but no refund was offered or anyway to fix it, and my money is gone. She was very condescending and the whole thing was just wrong. I know no one cares but dang really? If my money comes back mysteriously I will change my review but as for now I feel robbed.*edit I talked to the manager this morning and the accountant Dawn got it took care of thank you much.

The prices at this store are outrageous. Pick any item in the store and it will cost at least a dollar less anywhere else you can purchase it. If you’re vegan don’t even bother with this place. Their vegan products are 2 to 5 dollars more then they are at Fred Meyers or Grocery Outlet. I used to love SafeWay when they were like Albertsons but it’s clear now they bought that chain out so they could exploit prices. If you value your money shop at any other store in the area and you will leave with twice what you would have if you shopped at Safeway. The Safeway Corp. should be ashamed. They’re millionaires so of course they’re not but they should be.

Sabrina the decorator needs a serious attitude adjustment!! When management responds with “we know, don’t take it personally”, that’s a pretty clear indication that nothing is being done to fix the problem! I have been a regular here for far too long and will now start getting my cakes decorated in Yakima. She is wonderful at decorating but it’s just not worth dealing with her rudeness anymore.

Typical Safeway. Felt a little on the small side. Selection was a little less extensive and everything was way overpriced compared to other stores. Not exactly sure why that is but my guess would be that it has something to do with the location and size of Ellensburg. It's essentially a small college town out in the middle of nowhere and far away from any of your big city hubs. The higher prices most likely reflect the extra costs required to transport goods to such an isolated area.

The store was very clean and everything was well organized. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. The drawback for me at least being from Texas. The fact all the other customers seem to be in a bad mood and not one of them would smile or say hi back. I'm guessing being polite to people as you pass is just southern thing.

This Safeway grocery store was clean, well laid out, and well stocked. I used the pharmacy and picked up some grocery items. The pharmacy was pretty slow considering I gave them several hours to fill my medication and I still had to wait 45 minutes once I got there. Their produce is beautiful and all of the shelves were nicely stocked, however, their prices were atrocious. I'm going to stick to other grocery stores that also have increasing prices but not as bad as Safeway.

First let me say patty in the deli is an amazing woman and is fantastic at her job! My day get instantly better anytime I see her and any sandwhich or burrito she makes is soooo delicious! But I am so irritated with the older little lady who seems to run the department, multiple times I've stood at the sandwhich counter waiting for service and even after making eye contact several times I get no verbal acknowledgment then after about 5 or 7 minutes the little old lady says sorry sandwhich deli is closed today. It's very frustrating and a waste of time that she seems to close the deli on a whim whenever it's more convenient and she deems something else is more important.

Staff is always super friendly. Our store allows for my service dog to come in with me... even without her collar stating that she is one. They have gotten used to her a lot! :) The pharmacy is awesome with answering questions and helping. Many of the staff have been there for years, and smile. Produce has always been fresh, and stocked well. They carry some brands on the shelves that other stores don't. Highly recommend.

I enjoy Safeway, I typically like go in the morning to grab some cheap food for my lunch at work.However, on Wednesday and Thursday (7/13 and 7/14) they were out of all the food I would typically purchase. Both days, they had nothing when I went in around 8:45 am.I attempted to ask why they didn't have the items they typically have and couldn't get an answer. I waited for a manager but after several minutes I just couldn't wait any longer and had to leave. The following day I called and again couldn't reach a manager.So I will just stop shopping at this store in the morning for lunch. The only way to buy food for lunch at Safeway is to go there during lunch.Outside of their lunch time don't expect for them to have food, that's what I have learned.I will have to find my food, and spend my money somewhere else.

Do Not buy money orders here because they will not do refunds. They should warn people before selling them a money order.Instead go to another place like the post office or Walmart which can do refunds otherwise the website charges a $15 fee per uncashed money orders.

Carmen at customer service is the most wonderful. I appreciated her service when my family had to rent a rug doctor. She took the time to explain how the machine worked and was so professional, kind, and helpful. She is a treasure at that Safeway.

The prices are higher than Fred Meyer, but the variety, cleanliness, specialties, and produce are fabulous.The bakery has an amazing variety. Deli has great options.

A grocery store with goodies. The produce here seems quite nice. Of course the store has many other products, baked goods, beverages, and snacks. The store is clean and organized. One thing that could use some work is the speed of checkout. If you need a snack, groceries, or TP etc... it is a good place to stop by and pick up your items.

My issue is the deli . I'm not sure how many times I have bought chicken out of you "hot box" only to get home and find the stuff is so old and dry as hell. You must never check it after it's cooked. I am so disappointed, you once were a good store. Thanks for all the bad memories, I'm done being ripped off by you. SEEEYAAAA.

Oh my goodness Morgan at Starbucks is awesome! I have never once received a bad cup of coffee from her. She is consistent, sweet, and always makes my experience within the store fun! Give this girl a raise or something!

My original review of this grocery store was one star, and that based on my experiences years ago so I thought I’d post an update. Things have improved a lot! Even during these trying times this store is well stocked and organized. They even have dedicated manpower put towards cleaning the carts after they’re returned. It’s 2/3 smaller than FM but they have a great selection.
