Items here are not just overpriced, there are items here from dollar tree with the stickers still attached (and marked at $2-4 each). Also restrooms that had previously been open have been closed to the public with no explanation. Hard pass, especially with other much better options for used goods nearby.

lousy management. used the restroom last month with no problem. today they say they don't let customers use the bathrooms. they say it's been their policy for a long time. Fred myers next door has zero problem having public bathrooms plus they are always clean. for a establishment that depends on the kindness of strangers to function. they should b more considerate.

Very dirty establishment and no fitting rooms. Restrooms are indefinitely closed and the water fountain has indefinitely not been cleaned. Most Goodwill's are over priced, so that's no surprise. Dusty.

Lee accused me and my friends of stealing and was really rude about it. My friend asked if she could have a little discount on a shirt that was ripped and Lee straight up said “No. This is a goodwill”… yeah girl exactly its a goodwill people negotiate here lmfao.. not sure why you need to ride poor people at a thrift store that you cant even go into a dressing room to try on the clothes that the store removed all senior and student discounts on. Lee has been rude every time I’ve interacted with them and the same goes with all of my friends, they are college aged but bootlicking like their life depends on it. I used to go hard for this goodwill saying “you can find something good if you look hard and they have student discounts on sunday” but now I really don’t have anything good to say about the ellensburg goodwill, this is why everyone thinks this thrift atore sucks girl do better!

Always find something new that's a "must buy." I have a rule of thumb for Goodwill...I must donate something for every item I purchase. Helps keep my clutter down at home and hopefully it's something someone else finds as a "must buy 😊.)

I looked at jeans there.13 dollars for worn still dirty jeans.then i went to walmsrt and bought a new pair for exactly the same price.goodwill is a national corporation and yes,THEY DO PROFIT.IMMENSELY. their new goods are comparable to the dollar store.but cost more.at the yakima store i was very rudely thrown out of the store becsuse i was holding my service dog in my arms.they hire poor help because they dont pay for good help.my wife used to work for them.when i discove re ed the truth about this CORPORATION i made her quit.their job training program is pitiful.i say this as a professional job coach for special needs clients.Next time you go to a goodwill store, comparison shop.and definitely chrck your receipt before lraving the store.they brag about thrir training program, but ive been to their stores in several states and cities.not once have i seen a special needs employee.BOGUS.4

Donation area closed before posted time. It’s really annoying to look up the donation times, load up car, drive to Goodwill, get there before the posted donation time deadline, and see cones blocking off the donation area. This has happened to me a few times recently. Terrible service!

Prices are insanely high, lots of junk, lobby pretty empty, no Christmas trees, again no jewelry (for months now) no dressing rooms, WHY? It used to be so much better, don't bother stopping in Eburg for this GW. And now they have done away with Fan Friday and the enormous 10% Sr discount, oh and no more furniture. Just a sad place now.

One of the worst Goodwill stores in Washington.NO FITTING ROOMS.....HOWEVER You better be absolutely certain an item fits BEFORE YOU LEAVE. There is NO RETURNS after 7 days, and you can NEVER get your money back, only store credit. And that credit ONLY works in Ellensburg store.

i must say, most of the items in my home are from here! friendly and respectful employees. honestly my favorite place to go shopping in Ellensburg. i’ve always found some goodies! quick tip, if you want to return an item, leave your tag on and keep your receipt! they will put it on a gift card for you. happy shopping! 😄

This place has become way to over priced. they do not take Apple Pay my daughter, almost peed her pants because they do not have public restrooms anymore. nor do they have changing rooms anymore. Worst Goodwill. As the checkout clerk was checking me out, he answered the phone and totally stopped ringing us up and made us wait several minutes why he talked the individual on the phone while my daughter was about to pee her pants.

Very polite staff always. Never an issue, BUT! Price gouging has gotten ridiculous! Selling used bottles that were simply bottles of water for $1 at Grocery Outlet for $4 is insane! It says on the bottle that it contained water. 😳 Some items have original price tags & GW is charging more than the original? I’ve seen antique porcelain figurines- broken- thrown in a plastic bag for $8. 😳 It’s gotten so bad! These are donations & the price gouging is hideous. Then sometimes you’ll find something for a decent price if you dig hard enough. The good donations intended for locals is auctioned online. Come. On! The donators I’m sure didn’t intend for that. This is meant to be a secondhand, was given for free, & now overpriced, so Goodwill is making a fortune off of free items donated to them. There’s a few people benefiting financially & everyone complains about it. I’m so disappointed in GW, I’d rather go to estate & garage sales.I can still go to the West Side where generally things are more expensive but found a second hands over there that has nicer & cleaner items with somewhat lower prices on everything in the store. Their jewelry jars are outstanding over there as well. Nothing broken & hidden in the middle. The jewelry jars were once ok here. I paid nearly $50 for party beads & broken jewelry. The good jewelry is again, auctioned on the website like everything else that has value instead of letting locals get a chance at purchasing it first. The CEO of GW is greedy.Actually, it was better when it was behind a counter. At one point I was once told by an employee that the main person that puts the jewelry jars together allegedly hoards the quality jewelry in their desk. 😳 Not sure if she’s still there but her fingers are covered in nice rings…Said person was once on vacation & the jars were suddenly outstanding for once because a manager found the hoard in said person’s desk. The manager then made jars with mixed jewelry in said person’s absence with the said hoard & suddenly they were outstanding. I saw them after they were opened & was blown away. When said person was back off of vacation, they went to pot again. So it does add up. What is this person doing with the jewelry? I’m not paying $20-45 for beads & broken jewelry. There should be cameras monitoring where the jewelry is being stored & jarred. People donated this jewelry to support Goodwill & to be a reasonable price. Buying jars of broken jewelry for $15-45 & up is ludicrous. So we are paying a good amount for nothing. The last jar I purchased was garbage.Aside from this, love the staff & management. They are super friendly & always polite. And probably all don’t know about the jars! Please reduce the prices of clothing & other items to fair. There’s low income people who rely on places like this & it’s sad that used prices went up to like new prices. Goodwill makes a fortune off of this scheme. I’m talking Goodwill in general. Wish Ellensburg had a better secondhand in town with secondhand prices.

Great selection and quality, but you gotta watch the prices at this one. Some things are a little pricey.

Pro: Most employees are friendly and helpful. The store is organized and clean!Con: The price tags for used donations are an absolute joke! Quality control went out the door when some of the best employees were let go due to vaccination mandate🖓 The fitting rooms remain closed which is very inconvenient.

Friendly staff, very helpful. Store is clean and well-organized, and the shelves are kept stocked with easy-to-find treasures. Something for everyone. I never leave empty-handed.On the other hand, prices are sometimes unreasonably high for some items. Unfortunately this is becoming the norm, more and more, but deals can be had if you utilize the color-coded tag discounts as well as a few others. Worth checking out.

I’ve always found silver plated stuff. Turn over that tarnished dish. If there is a makers mark or something, I take them home and clean them up. Plus I have been reading some of the other reviews and I have to say their funny. One person complains that there is no dressing rooms, another complains that the staff was using the dressing rooms. Which is it. One person complained that the store was too small, while another said the store was large. People’s perception on what they observe is telling here. Can you trust them to give you honest reviews?

Nearly half the things I have stocked my apartment with have come from this Goodwill. It’s a shame that Covid shut the bathrooms and fitting rooms, and apparently I hear they will be removing the fitting rooms because they had too much trouble with drug users? I mean, that’s an unusual problem to have in such a small town - I’m guessing the GM is probably just paranoid, but I like the store anyways.

Good selection of shoes. Very limited selection junior jeans. Lots of employees on staff, however, only two were somewhat friendly. We waited 15 minutes for a fitting room when only two of the rooms were occupied. Three different employees walked by us either to put clothes away that were on the "do not want rack" outside the fitting room or to go to jewelry counter located directly outside the fitting room where we were waiting. One employee even had to excuse herself to get behind the jewelry counter because I was in her way. Finally, the employee putting away clothes, asked if we needed a fitting room. Then we were treated as if we were criminals going to do a big heist. Our transaction total after rounding up for "job training programs" was $70.00. Want customer service? Don't expect much from the Ellensburg Goodwill staff.

I've been here many times and usually the workers all seem sort of. Like they hate their job?But today there was this younger brown haired woman that made my day.She asked why my hands were green and I explained that my dog died last night and that this morning we made clay pawprints and I dyed my clay green. She gave me a giant hug and said she knows how it feels and kept saying she was really sorry. Honestly this is the sweetest thing that has ever happened to me in a store and I hope that woman has a good life because she is a very kind person.

This store is a great place to find unique (and common, every day), quality items at a fair price. Just like every other public place right now, masks are required so please make the workers lives a little easier and wear your mask!! 😊

Small and understaffed, but can tell the employees take pride in their store. Always new things coming out thru out the day, and store is always clean and organized. Much better than the Yakima location IMO.

On Thursday(11/4) a young woman and close friend of mine fell in this store and injured her knee badly enough requiring having to go to a doctor. She was sitting on the floor and could not get up. No one helped her. She had to drag herself to a chair as people walked around her. She then managed to pull herself up into the chair. This was a very bad and embarrassing situation for this woman. I called the manager a couple of days later and he knew nothing about it.

Bought two comforters with cat hair on them. One washed out fine and the other was permeated and couldn’t get any of it out.Took it back with my receipt and a younger female cashier fought me on getting back my in store credit. She said, “Was there cat hair on it when you bought it?I said, “yes, but I assumed it would wash out.” She then said, “Then why did you buy it!”I finally got upset and said, “Why did you hang this up and try to sell it?” The manager gave me the in store credit that she refused. I will now avoid dark hair, dark makeup, young woman.

The staff are rude and they stereotype. The prices are way over priced for used items. If its name brand its seriously way to much even if its in bad condition. The older lady with blond hair that is the manager i believe is extreamly unprofessional and rude. If you look or dress a certainm type of way she will accuse you of stealing and kick you out.

The Ellensburg Goodwill is a large store. They have lots of clothes and accessories, I have seen clothes sizes newborn to 5XLT. They have recently lowered the prices on books (my favorite). The books are nicely separated by age group: children, young adults and adults. Also by subject matter, for example, cooking, history, or gardening. And of course, fiction and nonfiction. They even carry some textbooks, for amazing low prices! They also sell, furniture, kitchen supplies, curtains, appliances, jewelry, shoes, hobbies, sewing stuff, and knitting yarn, too! Also, electronics, movies, music, toys, puzzles, games, sports, luggage and tools. They have towels, sheets, blankets, in all sizes. And somehow it does not feel overcrowded. You can use your cart or personal scooter in every isle! They also have a wheelchair you can borrow if needed. Most of what they sell is used, but they also sell a variety of new products. I can usually find nice things to stash away and give as gifts when the time comes. It great to have a variety of things that you can't find anywhere else in town. And at usually reasonable prices. It's a reasonably clean store. With great customer service! The employees are nice and always ask if you need help.

I found some of the employees rude and not customer oriented. One of the clerk did not honor prices on the books. She was rude and I will not shop there again. In today's world there is no place for rudeness life is hard enough.

Odd item hold policy. Saw a stack of 6 unmarked laptops that looked relatively new behind the counter. Lady operating the stand said they were unsold but couldn't be shown because she was saving them for a person who called in over the phone earlier to reserve them. Eh suspicious. Didn't know this was goodwill store policy until now.
