Booked for the first time 4/12/24-4/14/24 in the Villa’s and I ended leaving one day early. First off the smell of the place was just terrible don’t even think they thoroughly clean the place since there’s cob webs on almost every fixture. And the sheets were by far the worst woke up feeling itchy all over and the bed just reeked of B.O we ended up using the pullout mattress and setting it on the floor just to get through one night. If I could get my money back that be great but this is a lesson learned and advise anyone who is bringing kids into the place beware.

I have been going here for over 10 years but will never go back and I have told everyone I know who goes here the same thing. I rented a trailer full hookup spot and there was a tent in my spot. No big Deal. I asked if I could move to a none full hookup spot and was told it would cost less and I would receive a credit on my card but that never happened. I called several times and I have documentation of the dates and whom I spoke with. I requested to speak with the manager Christal McPherson and she refused to talk to me. I continued to call, and she later talked with me, said I would get a refund but made so many excuses about how difficult that would be. I never got the refund and they have stopped calling me back when I attempt to make contact. I am not done yet and this is not cool. They don't know anything about customer service and don't care. The facility is managed by the managers mother and aunt and it seems they cover for each other. The previous management was awesome but since new management has taken over things have gone downhill. I hope something can be done about this problem.

My family has been going to this campsite for over 20 years and we have so many good memories but sadly this past summer will be our last. This place has gone through so many owners and changes but that never affected anything until this last summer. We have always been told that no more than 6 people and 3 tents were allowed per site. We have always done that and even was allowed to pay a deposit to hold the spot. All of that has changed. When we went this last time, we were told we have to pay extra for an addtional site since we had 3 tents (never was a problem before) so we did. Then they wanted us to pay an extra $125 for the 3 tents as well and I was like Oh hell no! It was just outraguous and no more nice employees.....it made me really sad that this place is being run like this now. I am also guessing thats why it was so empty? This was a weekend and usually saturdays are packed but it was like a ghost town. We usually meet fellow campers and have a great time of it but it was the opposite this time around. Like I said, we have been going there since I was 36 and now I am 59 and won't be back unless the prices change. No one wants to pay $400-$500 just for a weekend of camping. This year we will probably book Coullee Play Land or go to Lake Chelan. To bad, because we loved this place.....oh well....sigh

It is a nice resort. The condo and cabins were not very clean. The staff was very helpful.Nearby activities: There is great access to Banks Lake.

Very dishonest. First and last time I will be going to this park. The scenery and lake are beautiful but what makes my review low is the staff. My group bought our two sites with the promise of 3 tents per site in advance and once we arrived and we’re done setting up we had a staff member come over to us very hostile. The first words out of his mouth to us were “when did I tell you to setup that tent” this was our first interaction with this person. He then went in to explain we were only allowed one tent per site and we would have to pay $40 a night per addition tent. We checked the screen shots of what we orders online and showed the office staff. We were then told by office staff that the policy was different than what was said on the website. Our two options were to either pay for an additional $300 for another site or pay the extra $40 per night per tent. We were told by staff this is them “being nice to us and this is all non refundable”. My whole group felt like we got scammed. My group had member's of it that have been going for 20 years with out issues until this trip. Another camp site also talked to us about how unhappy they were with price increases and how poorly the grounds are taken care of. They have been going for 30 years. My group spent over $900 on 3 sites alone and expected a little more. I’ve never felt this way after going camping before and barely write reviews. I hope they figure it out because it’s very beautiful.

Just camped there this weekend for the 1st time and we will not be going back. The prices to stay are very expensive so we expected more out of this place for what they want to be charging. The sites we booked that whole area is very crammed! You could literally hear your neighbors talking in their camper. Our neighbors were a group of drunks so we got to hear them all night and by 7am they were at it again. When we 1st arrived there was 2 piles of fresh dog poop on our site and we had to wait 20 min for it to be picked up. They charge almost 8 bucks a bag for ice! And get this. If you want to fish you are not allowed to fish anywhere on that entire campground. You have to have your own boat, rent one if theirs or walk yourself out to the main road and fish off of main road. I’m not really sure what the reason is behind this other than they want more of your money so you have to rent their boat. We left everyday we were there to Steamboat because we could fish there and the swimming area is wayyyyy nicer. The Cantina there has alright food but also very pricey. Their shower stalls have dollar store shower curtains and half the holes where the shower curtain rings go are ripped so only about 1/2 the shower curtain is actually hung so you’ve gotta be careful cause you don’t really have privacy while showering. I’m not one to complain about prices but when your charging 70 plus per night your place should be more kept up and cleaner. This place is not worth the money they want to be charging and we had kind of heard a lot of these same issues but we wanted to try it out for ourselves. The best part of this place was the band they had there “Rusty Nail and the Hammers” they sang good and sounded really great!

Set up our camp site right near the shore of the lake. The side of the campground near the shared beach was windy at times, but listening to the water hit the shore was nice when going to sleep. The side of the campground with the boat launch never seemed to get any wind, even when our side was at its peak. Just glass reflection off the water. Wasp and bees were a problem for us. We had to make traps with water bottles and dish soap to try and contain them but there was still 3 bites during our 6 days there, luckily no kids were bit. Recommend net tents for the picnic table and traps inside for the ones that get in. The lake is the absolute best for water vehicles so if you have boats and seadoos it's a must stay. There is 2 trailer parking lots and a dock to moor at night. We anchored at our campsite but for $30 per night you can use the dock, we had one night it was too windy and we didnt want it to bang on the beach.Nearby activities: There is a dock near the boat launch that sells ethanol free premium fuel right in the lake so you can easily pull up and fuel and continue on having fun. There is a playground and a sandy beach in the campground as well as nice showers in the main building.Food & drinks: In the main building is a convenience store and a small rec room with a tv, couch and a couple arcade machines behind it is a resteraunt that serves breakfast lunch and dinner depending on the day, Sunday is breakfast only, there is a bar and karaoke that opens up after 4pm. There is a grocery store and gas station about 10 minutes away that has anything else you would need for your stay.

We will not stay there again. We booked for a family reunion and we were talked into their “Premuim” RV spots, with the promise of a 10% discount. Not only was their trash in our sites when we arrived but when they switched systems earlier in the year there was a screw up with our reservation and they took no ownership of that mistake at all and told us it was our fault. We did not get the 10% discount on the two RV sites that we were promised and these sites were anything but premium as described. Also after confirming with them in the morning that our group of 25 could do putt putt golf one evening together, when I went to pay for that they didn’t have enough golf balls, even though no one else was playing golf at that time, so we all couldn’t play together. Things there aren’t promptly dealt with and staff/owners don’t talk nicely to customers.

They found my husband's wedding ring! We had some follies on this trip; broken transmission, forgot things, some broken toes. But when we realized that I dropped my husband's wedding ring while trying to get our boat oit of the water with a uhaul box truck.... I was sure we would never see it again. I called them as we were driving away, and they were able to find it and keep it in a safe for us. The manager was very accommodating and communicative. I was elated when we got it. Great people! Really appreciate their help in a very stressful situation.

Been staying here and in the area fir 30 plus years. From tent camping, RVing, lots of boats, and this weekend, a cabin with friends.Cabins are basic and generally clean, but dear lord, a collapsed mattress is not acceptable. Difference between soft, medium, etc is understandable...these things were completely collapsed. Two of the group slept on the floor the second night. And Kareoke is ok...we have joined in during past visits. But shut it off at a decent hour. It has become ridiculous, well past 11. Just dumb for a camp ground/resort where there is no escape (it's outdoors in the center of the resort). You folks (owners) have a golden egg in your hands..better nurture it. Will be a long time before we consider coming back. And we were part of a annual group of 30+ (Jones Bay, camp ground and cabins here, and Steamboat) who hang out. Word travels fast. What a disappointment to watch.Rooms: Back to the rooms; lipstick on a pig. Not enough water pressure to wash one's hair..but plenty of pressure at the sink. Tells anyone in the know that there is a problem with an easy fix. And seriously, putting more caulking over caulking that isn't adhering to anything isn't a 'repair'.Blinds are broken; ladies found it weird to not be able to dress in privacy. To the owners: I don't need a boilerplate "please call us"..why? You had another chance...you're reading the reviews, you're going in the wrong direction.

Staff friendly for the most part, grounds are in ok shape, entertainment sucks. Lack of restrooms/showers for camping, camping site are very uneven (bring levelers). People break rules and staff doesn't do anything. People parting all night long after quite time. Party of 14+ in one tent site and management says they paid but their rules show different (1 tent 5 people max). Place is a joke. WiFi sucks

This place is the most unprofessional scam I’ve ever experienced. We rented a boat for half of the day and spent over $600. We were excited to spend the day on the water but less than half way through our 6 hour rental, we noticed the rubber bumper around the boat had come loose. It was dangling from the front and side of the boat so we did what we could to affix it and headed back to the resort which took us 45 min. When we got there and explained what had happened the individual in charge told us it happens all the time and he’ll fix it and get us back in the water. He grabbed a rubber mallet and headed out to the boat. At that point we didn’t even want to go back out. We had already wasted almost an hour coming back. Nobody told us there were issues with the boat and had we known we wouldn’t have rented it. This individual was aggressive, rude, and unprofessional. He refused a refund for the additional 3 hours and told us we could get back on the water and if it happens again call him and he’ll ride his jet ski to wherever we are and fix it. It was either get back on the water or lose your money. We chose to walk away. Sketchy and unsafe to say the least. Go somewhere else!

Sunbanks has become a new annual favorite camping spot. We had a big crowd and were able to book 3 spots right on the water front just a short walk from the boat launch. And we loved being on the water!! Our spots were secluded just enough to enjoy our company without bothering our neighbors! The night life was also great! We love the Cantina!! Kareokee night was the bestAnd shout out to Crystal who was our awesome Bar Tender! Sun Banks is really such an awesome place to get away and just relax! We can't wait to go back!

We had a group of approximately 30 people. We had multiple tent sites reserved and we had an RV site reserved for my in laws. My in laws are in their mid 80s, and have questionable day to day health. The week of this trip, they both got sick, but were still hopeful down to the wire that they could make it work. The morning of, they called us to say they simply couldn’t make the trip. The heat in the forecast, long drive, and their illness was making it clear that it wouldn’t be a good idea. They asked me to call about getting a refund. That morning before we left to come, I called to ask about the situation and the person I spoke to on the phone was very understanding and friendly. I told her that I understood the cancellation policy, but asked if they could be considered for any portion of their reservation back due to their unexpected illness. The person I spoke to, said she would write up what I had told her and speak to the manager and have someone call me back. I told her the phone call back was not necessarily needed since I would be there later that day.We drove to sunbanks and checked in. At check in, I said that I had called this morning about a refund for my in laws and then was told that the answer was “no”. I very kindly said ok and accepted this. But then, I was told that we could not use the power, water, or park in their site because they cancelled the reservation and opened the site to allow someone else to reserve it. We paid for it, and they refused to refund any portion, yet then made it available for someone else to come along and pay for? That’s not right. The following day, I found out that my friend, who was also scheduled to come with us, called the morning she was supposed to come and cancelled. She told me she was given a 40 percent refund.I returned to the office to ask about this and was told that she had “special circumstances”. I guess they decided that her circumstances deserved a refund, but I guess my in laws medical issues do not.The person I spoke to in the office agreed with me that this was not right or fair and told me they would put the refund request in again. I said ok.The day of check out, I came in again to see the status of this. I spoke to crystal who I guess is the manager? Crystal was rude. Cutting me off when I spoke, was very blunt, and frankly lied to me multiple times. She tried telling me that my friend called multiple days before, which was a lie. There were lots of excuses and then she told me that “the system won’t let her refund me” and that “she needs to keep the rules the same” and “can’t do refunds for one person and not another”. However, that’s EXACTLY what she did. The completely inconsistent rules and policies are not right.I did argue this at this point. We were being treated completely unfairly. I finally was offered a “credit” to use next year. I don’t agree with this but didn’t seem to have a choice. The campground was not full over the weekend. There were plenty of sites available. I would understand not refunding me if it seemed like their site being taken would have prevented someone else from coming, but that simply was not the case. The prices here are astronomical for camping. They claim this is due to their amenities. The grass area in the middle of the park was completely unusable and unkept our entire stay. Have of it was taped off with caution tape and what was left was uneven and unusable. The playground last year was falling apart to the point that a swing literally fell off the swing set while a kid was swinging. The playground was redone this year but honestly is nothing to brag about and looks like it was something purchased from Costco and not even assembled correctly.

BEWARE what you see on their website IS NOT what you will get. The grass is unkept nasty dirty it is NOT EVEN CLOSE to what’s on there. The common center area that people can use had caution set there with metal poles. The “playground” needs to updated. For $700 for 3 nights 2 sites it’s a SCAM. they shouldn’t be charging an arm and a leg for what you get. Also beware of bees and a whole lot of flies because that’s what comes with it for the price of $700 also with that price you will get stung to like our little one did.Just be prepared and bring lots of spray for flies and bees/wasp. Nothing about this is luxury or should be considered a resort this place is FAR FROM a resortThe one star is only because of the nice front desk lady who was able to change our sites. Otherwise I would do a complete 0 if I could.

I absolutely enjoyed staying here the two months that I was able to. My mom and I stayed there from March-May in 2018 and we stayed in one of the houses on the hill which overlooked a beautiful lake and the mountains. During my time here I made it a point to wake up at 5 every day to watch the sun rise over the lake and mountains. Obviously the unit was built for one person or a couple, because there was only one bed in the unit but the couch wasn't wildly uncomfortable. Business definitely picks up around spring break, but still a great time!

Great experience this last weekend. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They allowed early check-in and late check-out without hesitation. The Lakeside Cabin was clean and nicely tidied for our arrival. This is the third time our family has stayed in one of these cabins over the last five years, and each time we've been pleased with the experience. We'll definitely be back.

We were there last weekend 25th Aug 2023 and had great time! Boaters paradise! Great folks, beautiful setting, Fun kerioki lol. One thing though! If BRINGING BIKES there are what they call Goat heads a loose brier like mini tacks will puncture most bike tires so be prepared for that.. We had three bikes and all were flat in one hour. I would recommend that they should post warning on web sight and or on sight for that issue. Other than that!! 5 Stars! Thx Eric and Crystal! ; )

We had noticed they were advertising they were open during the fall now. So we called made a reservation, the women said that no one would be in the cabin the night before so it would be unlocked and she would email us a code so we could lock the door. We showed up Saturday and absolutely no one was there the cabin was locked front office was closed and locked and we did not get an email with a code to be able to access the cabin we rented. We called the after hours number and no one answered waited around like an hour to hear back. Now it’s Wednesday and we still haven’t heard from them. We had absolutely no way to stay in the cabin we paid for and had to go home not to mention they charged us 160 a night for that cabin that was right next to a nasty hole in the ground toilet that smelled terrible. The placed looked extremely run down and not worth the price they were charging at all. We’ve stayed at nicer KOA’s for way cheaper that had full bathrooms in the cabin. Do not recommend to anyone. How can a place charge you and then not let you use your reservation, big scam! Don’t waste your money or time with this place.

Nice camp sites. Great dock and water access. Lots of watercraft rentals. 4 1/2 stars is more fitting. We rented a boat that the battery died half way through our trip. They made it right with a full refund. Good on them. Some athroom/outhouses were quite smelly. Not all but some. Overall a very fun time with a few bad points. Yes, without a doubt i would go back!

The only reason we are giving this a two star review versus a one star is because of the staff. When we checked in the person at the desk could not locate our site on the map however she was knowledgeable about other sources of information and showed us approximately where it was. When we got down to where we should set up our tent we could not figure out where exactly our site was. The person's set up in the area were also frustrated in the fact that there are no markers with site numbers and they struggled themselves when first arriving. We went back to the office and the girls there quickly were able to pinpoint on a map where we should set up behind the other three campers. The site and overall setting are great but they just try to stuff too many sites in the area. That night when the "quiet time" should have been in effect ar 11pm the band was still playing. If we had been there for several days and did not have to hit the road early the event would have been enjoyable. The showers had broken tiles and other areas need maintenance and repairs. This could be a great place if they just spruce it up, space people out just a little and observe their own rules.

I would never book here again. Outrageously priced WALK IN tent sites, packed in like sardines and absolutely terrible parking. The trucks and RVs were literally on top of one another. If I stayed, I would have had to block someone in, or park clear on the other side of the resort, no where near the campsites. When I asked the staff about this they responded " Well, you will all just have to get along." He was pleasant, and so was most of the staff I encountered but I lasted 15 min and left. What a waste of time and money. 178$ Really??

Extremely poorly run Resort. Too many disappointing things to delve into; outhouses, community bathrooms, cost of boat slips and camp sites, layout of camp sites ect...etc... Could really be a nice place with someone in place that has experience managing a resort of this type.

Stayed here memorial weekend in the Osbourne cabins. The concept of the resort is nice, but you get what you pay for. The cabin was cute but not very clean, the futon had seen better days. The description said there was a grill, they're wasn't. However they did bring us a brand new one. Their customer service was lacking. When we asked them about the grill, they seemed annoyed. The bathroom showers had no changing areas, so you had to set your stuff on benches and get dressed in front of everyone. The lake is beautiful and the place had potential, but i will never go back

We come with a group annually for 5 years and have a great time every year. The rv spots are perfect and if you book ahead and ask they will put your group all together. Recently we stayed in the house with ten people there was more then enough room and it was very nice. This is a great place to party and we have met new friends every year. We have never had any issues that other people are writing about, as long as you are respectful of people and the rules you will have fun here.
