I love this store. We moved to Orcas a couple of months ago from Denver and we had access to home Depot and all the big box places. I'm a frequent hardware shopper and honestly I was a little worried about whether we would find what we needed on the island. This place is great. It's amazing how much stuff they have tucked away here and there. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Not to criticize anyone else but this is definitely the best hardware experience on the island and even if I still lived in Denver I'd probably go here

Best hardware store on orcas Island. The staff is super friendly and will help you find anything that you can need. They have a pretty good lumberyard and if they don’t have what you need they are more than happy to order it for you. They also have gas if you need to fill up between Deer harbor and Eastsound.

Crazy selection of items. Extremely nice people behind the counter. Prices are reasonable, and that is surprising given that this place is on an island. Definitely worth a visit. Need that big jar of Costco bread and butter pickles? They've got it.

Have a look at the 4.7 avg rating for IHS. It's everything you need to know and the company is in a small town so you know they don't have fake reviews.I live in the community and shop here. If you know what you want before going in you'll do very well. It's on an island so some things take a while to get or are out of stock. IT'S ON AN ISLAND PEOPLE.

Better selection, better crew, other places have a few good employees, this place its the entire crew.Even the grumpy ones are awesome cuz you know they gonna be grumpy so save the really dumb questions for them. One of my favorite businesses on the island

This is the best local hardware store I've had the pleasure to be a customer at. There is a level of service that you will never get at a big box store, and despite the fact that this is on a ferry-dependent island where everything has tobe shipped from the mainland, the prices are fair. The folks who work here are amazing, kind and knowledgable. And as my teenager would say - they have the best snacks to keep you going on your project.

They always have what I need. A little pricey butt, it’s on an island. Everything is island pricey. Side from that the staff is knowledgeable, they have everything. We always shop here and will continue to shop here.

Just about anything you need from a hardware store. If they don't have it, ask they can probably order it. Friendly staff. Tool prices that will make you wonder if it's worth waiting for 2 days to get (spoiler it's not and if we are being honest packages take at least 3 days to the island) Their lumber is top quality and if you need a special order Woody or Neil can help out. They also carry a lot of necessary bulk items from the Cos(bigboxstore)tco at great prices. Sometimes it is not worth going off island when you can find it at Island Hardware.

This is the place on Orcas where you are gonna find what you require to survive! If you desire a hot breakfast wrap to go along with those fancy roofing nails, they have it! See for yourself...and my dog loves their free fog biscuits!

I have to say that I was skeptical that paint was rated for 32 degrees and rain proof. The manager guaranteed it to me and I can say it didn't only not disappoint, it was awesome

Best hardware store on island. Local ace has potentially better garden supplies? But Island hardware has a vastly larger range of fasteners, pipes, electrical hardware, etc.They also have the cheepest gas on the island.

Great lumber yard considering the size of the community. They don't have everything, but do carry a good variety of general store stuff, carharts and similar products, plus the necessary screws, fasteners and materials to do most projects.
