We are truly blessed to have met everyone at The Northwest Dog Trainer. It’s not your normal training facility, it’s better because what they offer is much more than just training. They’ve truly built a community for both pets and owners. Sessions involve so much support, not just from the NW Team, but from others in the class. One of my favorite parts is getting to know the other owners, their pets and celebrating their successes because they do the same for me and my golden, Royal. The NW team is also great at teaching, correcting but also relating to us owners. It’s also evident that they are skilled and very knowledgeable, but what has always stood out to me is the love and care that each member of the NW team has towards animals. They are passionate about what they do and it shows. I highly recommend The Northwest Dog Trainer. Royal and I have learned so much, we have grown a lot, but most importantly we have found a great community to be a part of. We promise you’ll feel the same.

I don't have enough words to recommend the entire team of The Northwest Dog Trainer.As first time dog owners, we had no idea how to train our mini schnauzer. (If you know schnauzers they are barkers and stubborn with a strong personality)From the initial consultation, I knew it was the right place but thinking that I could get the same results I went to my local pet store and signed up for classes.Boy I was wrong, months later we were back at Marcus and his team. I didn't hesitate anymore and we started with board and training for Jack. What a change, it literally changed our lives. We were able to travel with him and he can now go everywhere with my children. Sometimes we can't believe it's the same Jack from six months ago. We have learned a lot.He continues to improve with the support of his group classes and We love the community of which he is now part of.Thank you Marcus, Jeremy, Melissa and the entire team for all your work and support.

🐾🌟 A Wonderful Experience at NWDT Facility! 🌟🐾I have had the pleasure of bringing my doodle, Griffey here since July 2023 and it has truly been a fantastic experience!One of the standout aspects of this facility is their expertise in helping reactive dogs. My dog used to get easily overwhelmed and react to other dogs, but thanks to the patient guidance of Marcus and his team, he's made remarkable progress. He has passed his CGC and we are working towards the advanced cert ☺️What sets this place apart is not only their effectiveness in training but also the friendly and supportive atmosphere created by the trainers. They truly care about the well-being of the dogs and form a genuine connection with them.Overall, if you're looking for a top-notch training facility where your dog will receive expert care and guidance in a welcoming environment, I highly recommend NWDT. We have a shepherd husky mix with significant people insecurity issues, esp with men. Due to our previous excellent experience with board and train with our 2 older dogs when we lived in TX, we decided to try that with Gizmo. It was a terrible experience for him. The whole reason we sent him there was amplified and worsened, he came back more scared and 5 lbs lighter (he’s a young dog at a healthy weight). We reached out to The Northwest Dog Trainer for help, as we wanted him to feel more comfortable around new people and we needed to be able to manage his reactivity with more authority. From the initial evaluation we knew this was the right place for him. There were no pretenses that he would be transformed into the perfect dog - we knew this going into training, and were very appreciative that there was no attempt to sell this narrative to us. Marcus was very upfront that he would never be a cuddly and welcoming dog with newcomers, but the goal was to get his behavior to a more neutral rather than reactive nature. Marcus, Jeremy, and Melisa have been excellent to work with. Each class is a little different with new challenges. They are teaching us how to work through Gizmo’s issues, which is clearly what we and he needed. We’ve had and continue to have such a great experience that we’ve enrolled our youngest dog into training as well. We can’t say enough good things about our experience with The Northwest Dog Trainer. Highly recommend.

There is a reason why The Northwest Dog Trainer has 5-star reviews; Marcus & his team are phenomenal! They are beyond knowledgeable, patient, understanding, etc. They make training fun and keep you engaged and genuinely want your dog and you to succeed!My sweet gal, Abba, was a reactive, skittish, rescue that fell into my lap unexpectedly. After a few months of thinking I could do it on my own and continuing to fail I contacted The Northwest Dog Trainer. From the start Marcus & Melisa were so supportive and I instantly felt a huge weight lifted off my chest. Every issue I told them about in our evaluation they didn’t even bat an eye at and reassured me they could help, and they did!I am so grateful I found them and I put my trust in their more than capable hands. Abba and I can now go on walks without me having to worry about crossing paths with another dog or a “scary” object. 5 stars, 10/10, forever recommending. From the evaluation it felt so good and safe to bring my pup to the team! I saw my pup making quick progress, even with some small snags, and the support behind the process was great. He is now 11 months old and just passed the CGC test and we couldn’t have done it without the training we received at NWDT. Everyone was wonderful and the classes are well supervised and attentive. The group classes always bring something new and fun for the humans and pups. The lighthearted friendly vibes are also epically appreciated!

NW Dog Trainers is a skilled and professional team that prioritizes safety when working with dogs in a group environment. I enrolled my older dog to address some leash reactivity, her first experience with professional training. Uncertain about what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by the results. There was a significant improvement in her overall behavior, and I also learned how to handle her better in those situations. Equipped with these new tools, I can continue my training efforts with my dog. I wholeheartedly recommend this team for training at any level. Down to earth team, eager to learn about your dog and how to cultivate a training plan specifically for you to ensure achieving your goals are the priority.They also are very open to meeting you where you and your dog are at, great at handling reactive and aggressive dogs, which feels very hard to find around here!! My dog isn’t the worst in the world, but she’s definitely difficult and made going literally anywhere impossible without evoking several panic attacks. She requires a lot of attention and intentionality and the NWDT team exceeded expectations in giving me the practice, knowledge, and confidence to face her behaviors heads on!

10/10 would recommend this place! Marcus and the team know what they are doing. They kept the class engaged with fun training activities. Milo is such a sweet boy at home but it was hard taking him out in public because he would lunge and be reactive to other dogs. I was never able to take Milo out for a walk but now we’re able to go on long walks and hikes! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants well trained and behaved dogs.

We have been with Northwest Trainers for almost a year, it may seem like a long time, but we (I) have learned more in this time than we did with several other trainers. Went for 15 individual sessions, for two 1 year old pups. Excellent! Staff were with us every step of the way. Came in with two dogs running us ragged, left with two well mannered dogs that we could walk and have around company. Highly recommend to anyone, any dog, that needs help with obedience training.S. We adopted a 2 year old greyhound, and we were trying to train her ourselves. After 6 months, we were ok on the basics (potty, not eating the cats or the furniture), but we had hit a wall with manners. Within the first hour, Marcus had taught her how to sit--it was like magic! Since then, over the last couple months working with Marcus and Jeramy, she has made huge progress: she can sit, lay down, stay, come, etc. It's fantastic, and they also make sure to ask us how things are going and understand our specific struggles and goals.

Cannot recommend Marcus and Jeremy and the team here enough!! After using another trainer that had no effect on our nervous/reactive dog we came here, and am so happy we are. It’s a process, there’s no quick fix but they really know what they’re doing and care about your dog! They focus on training the dog and the owner, and manage to make sure each dog is benefitting in a group class.

We love The Northwest Dog Trainer! Marcus and his team have totally turned things around for my pup. When my guy first landed with us, he was full of fear - scared of people and big dogs. When I brought him to his first session, he just cowered.0 Look at him now, holding his own with big dogs and people! He walks into class excited to be there! And class is a ton of fun for both of us. My dog Bucky was such a hyper dog before I took him to this place! I couldn’t take him on a walk because he would go crazy and want to run all over the place, even into the street. I took Bucky to The Northwest Dog Trainer and they helped me out so much. They taught my dog how to walk in public, do tricks and even did events where they gave out prizes. They showed me how to connect with my dog and give him orders he can obey. We just got a new born puppy and we will definitely bring her here to be trained. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants well trained dogs. I don’t know what took me so long to find this place!!

I wholeheartedly recommend Northwest dog trainer! All the staff have been extremely helpful and my pup and I have grown leaps and bounds in terms of managing her fear based reactivity. The classes involved real world activities and training methods that helped with desensitization/exposure, training in obedience and improving confidence.
