The building is easy to get to, plenty of parking and when you walk in with your sweet fur baby, it’s clean and open, you are welcomed and treated like a dear friend! The staff is cheerful, knowledgeable, and kind. There’s no doubt that you & your buddy are their number one priority and will be well taken care of. I happen to have the very best Vet, but I’m sure they’re all as wonderful and caring as mine is.

I was able to get Tilly in for her first visit the following day. Plenty of parking and clean office. Everyone was kind and courteous. Dr. Humphrey was very gentle, patient and answered my questions with a smile. I will be returning to Saltwater Animal Hospital for future needs for my darling Tilly.

Had an amazing experience with the staff at Saltwater Animal Hospital.Took my girl in to have a mass removed from her gums, though they were booked they managed to squeeze us in less than a week later.The staff was very friendly and welcoming both in person and over the phone. It took me a long time to find a vet that I was comfortable taking my fur babies to. I have a dog and two cats that i will only take here. From the time I walked in until I left they treated me and my babies with upmost respect and care. The staff was wonderful!!! My dog is actually excited when he goes instead of being afraid. Truly a blessing!! I called on a Wednesday and my kitty was seen the next day! Dr. Arce and her staff are caring, gentle, engaging, and positively wonderful! They treated us like someone who they knew for years. They explained everything in full detail and made the visit comfortable for a scared kitty. I will definitely bring my other animals here for care!

We're brand new to the office. We took our two kitties in to get established with care for a long term relationship, along with vaccines and flea treatment. They're turning 3 next month.Our entire experience from scheduling all the way through, until our exit from the clinic today was incredible! Everyone has been super friendly, helpful & knowledgeable! Technician & Dr. were so gentle and complete naturals handling our fur babies during the hands on exams, vitals, etc. which made it such a nice, stress free experience for our family. We've definitely found their forever Vet!Oh & a added bonus- their cost is great too!!

Seems like the issue I’m having they’ve had with other clients in the past. Guess that’s my fault for not reading reviews first. I have been a loyal customer for over 6 months. We come in every month for my dogs anal glands. Now I picked this place because a couple of the techs from priceless transferred over so my dog was familiar with them already. But what they didn’t inform me last month when I was in for an anal gland appointment was that my dog was about to be past due for her vaccines (per their records since they were not able to get my dogs records from priceless, which I know my dog had her vaccines there) and is not allowed to step foot into their clinic (unless for rabies ) with out paying for an exam fee, which normally she wouldn’t need the exam, she just get the shots when she gets her anal glands done. They had told me this is “per law”. So if you’d like a vet that is a money hog, doesn’t communicate to their clients, clearly doesn’t actually care about their clients, then this is the place for you! Also half of the tech here’s are very awkward with zero people skills. Take more time in your hiring process and start hiring people who care, you WILL see a difference in business.

Exceptional care and great customer service. After a horrendous experience with a previous clinic that nearly killed my cat due to negligence and malpractice, I was thrilled to find a local vet that could properly care for her. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. They have completely turned her health around after an uphill battle with a hyperthyroid issue. My cat is happier and healthier than ever and adores the staff.

I took my dog there for the first time today, and while the staff and veterinarian were all very nice and caring, they forgot to mention something when I booked the appointment: that same day visits are more expensive. That's an important piece of information to be left out.I called because my dog has an ear infection. I was offered a same day appointment, and since all the vets I have been so far have never charged more for same day appointments and because they had an opening, I took the appointment.When I was already there the tech vet informed me that same day appointments are more expensive. That would have been a nice information to have upfront. I would have schedule a few days out, as this wasn't an emergency.I'm posting this here so people are aware of the extra charge since the front desk will not bother to inform you about it.

Our dog appears to have allergies from March to October. Plus he has IVDD. Dr Sutton was so helpful and went over and beyond to ensure our dog is getting the best care. Thank you for the great service from everyone, everytime we go!

This was the first time brought my small dog Joey in. I got a fast, next-day appointment but they also have the same appointment if needed. The staff was great, front and back. I didn't know they had a clinic so that was a pleasant surprise. Didn't take much time, did all I asked and we were out the door in approximately 1.5 hours. Ms. Deal was great with him and did not rush me. I will be going back. And I do recommend, prices are about in the middle in comparison to others.

We brought our puppy in to see Dr Publicover for an urgent tummy issue. While the staff hasn't met Titus before, they were extremely caring and spent a good deal of time examining him and talking us through their treatment recommendations. They took the time to call and check in on him the following morning and provided additional information and direction. I feel like the staff was kind and very knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend Salt Water Animal Hospital.

Saltwater Animal Hospital is amazing. From the reception area to the waiting room, it's clean and tidy. No matter the weather, the staff have a smile on their face. They handled my 70+ lbs dogs neutering like champs (pitbull breed). They answer all your questions and will not make you feel stupid if you have a weird question. I've called multiple times in one day about my dog. They treated me like a person, which sadly in this day and age is rare. Having total peace of mind when you drop your animal off is why i recommended Saltwater Animal Hospital.

Extremely professional, helpful, and caring staff at the Saltwater Animal Hospital. We took our 16 year old cat in concerned about his health, and they did a full examination on him and told us he looked good for an old cat. They were very gentle with him, by the end of the examination, he was purring. My wife and I were very happy with their service. You could tell they love animals and actually care.

My cat began to get very anxious and even aggressive at his old vet. At Saltwater, they are patient and kind with him, which helps him relax.My old vet (DO NOT GO TO BURIEN ANIMAL HOSPITAL) completely missed that my cat was diabetic, but Saltwater vets made quick work of figuring out his ailment. There was a miscommunication about one part of his treatment, but that was simply because the first vet I saw left the office and it was not communicated to the next vet who took on his care.Since then, they have been happy to help over e-mail and phone as my cat gets healthy.When I noticed an inconsistency in the bill from one visit to the next, they were happy to remedy the difference.I have had nothing besides a 5-star experience at Saltwater!

Very happy to found this veterinary office. Helpful staff, patient with my puppy and easy to schedule appts. The facility is clean and good size, so easy to get in and out. Have my first surgery to neuter my husky, so feel confident they are prepared and going to keep my pup safe.

We established care with this vet with our new puppy. I have found the vets to be good and staff to be very friendly, but I am changing vets due to billing practices. I noticed another recent review with this exact same critique, but my dog was having digestive issues for a few days, and I called to make an appointment. The receptionist gave me a list of several timeslots available that same day and so I took one. This was not an urgent need, but something I wanted to check out. Following my visit with the vet, I was told that the cost for the appt alone was $150 which was shocking. They said that same-day appointments are considered urgent and they charge $40 more. $110 for an exam fee itself is high, and to charge $40 more is outrageous. I was not made aware of this up-charge prior to coming to the appointment and when I expressed concern, they said they would credit my account but not give me a refund for $40, presumably so I come back - which is further frustrating. My total bill for the day was $360, and I was honestly pretty surprised. This included probiotics, a very short course of antibiotics, and a stool test, and of course the “urgent” care visit. I will likely not go back to the vet with a dog with some digestive complaints again and seek OTC solutions.I have been calling around to other vets, and the exam cost of other local vets is around $80 with occasional up-charges closer to $10-$15 if truly urgent and an inconvenience for the vet, not simply for an open time slot that same day.If they want to run a successful business that people will continue to appreciate, this is not the way and I highly recommend they re-think their policies. Qualified vets and friendly staff are just one part of the equation.

I give this place 5 stars although my only bad point its that my appointment was very early however the place was very dirty like no one cleaned the room the night before. Other than that, the place is nice (newer) the people (everyone) from front desk to the Dr. were super nice and able to answer all of my questions and give me the medication right there for my pup (10 year old) pitbull mix who had an UTI. The pricing was about right too.

With how expensive animal healthcare is anymore, you’d think people would be helpful when they know cheaper routes, such as chewy, they’d inform the client. I have a dog with a list of medical needs. I’ve gone here since June, and monthly, I am spending roughly $400-$600 on her care.I’ve recently found out that chewy does prescriptions, and I mentioned it to the vet, and they said they could go through chewy. My bill went down $130 in one visit due to this. It’s just sad how money hungry healthcare has come. Just stay informed of alternative options when it comes to getting care and prescriptions.

All of the staff were friendly & welcoming when I came in with my cat Zeva. In the exam room because Zeva would not come out of the carrier Dr Laura Arce suggested we put her on the floor. After opening the top, the 4 of us (Dr, Attendant, Myself & Zeva) sat on the floor for the exam & nail trimming. I was very touched by the care & concern for not stressing Zeva out more than she already was. Both of my cats have received great care during their exams. I may have to drive a bit further now but am so glad I changed to Saltwater Animal Hospital.

I reside in Seattle and the new cat we adopted needed to receive urgent care. The cat had never been to a clinic before. Thankfully, I was able to secure an appointment for my cat at Saltwater Animal Hospital, in Des Moines, Washington. The doctor who assisted my cat did a fantastic job. My cat received his rabies and FVRCP vaccines and was treated for tick and flea bites with an antibiotic. I really enjoyed working with the technician, too. She meticulously explained to me what the next steps should be and what else the cat will need to be healthy and happy. Extremely friendly staff! Superlatives characterize each and every trait of my experience at Saltwater Animal Hospital. The cat says “thank you!”

Wow! I love this place! I needed to get my kitty in quickly and both my local go-to’s in West Seattle were booked out 1-2 weeks. Saltwater got me in next day and upon examining her, the doc gave me several treatment plans to choose from, kept me informed throughout the process and were very up front about costs. If I could give 10 stars I would.

They are very friendly and thoroughly care. Dr Sitton has been diligent and continues to be. Our dog has been diagnosed with IVDD. So sad and hard. The compassion is felt and I would recommend them to everyone.
